Came here for a business trip. The beds were very comfortable, the only problem was someone was in my bed already. After I took him out and got comfortable, I slept very well. The vault really kept me warm. The only problem I had was that the bed kinda smelled of rot. Overall, I would recommend.

My husband and I attended the pet remembrance and blessing ceremony yesterday. It was very nice. We had our cat's ashes blessed. Thank you for having something like this.

This is a beautiful cemetery lots of beautiful headstones to go out and look at and take pictures of while you’re here. You should stop by and look at the shark tombstone.

This event is becoming one of our favorite car cruises. It very well organized and everyone is friendly and helpful. We enjoy walking around the displays of classic cars and showing our own classic cars. See you next year 😉

Fantastic show! Perfectly set up and ran by real professionals. My personal favorite show.

Jefferson's car show is one of the most well organized car shows around. All of the staff are extremely nice and helpful, especially Vickie! I look forward to this car show every year! Thank you Jefferson Memorial!

My mom is buried in Sunset View garden section 25. We laid her to rest at the end of March of this year. I go several times a week and am sad to see that her plot was not properly prepared after her interment. The dirt and ground are not level, weeds are growing where grass should be growing and the little bit of grass that is there is sparse at best. This is a reflection of the work ethic of the groundskeepers at the cemetery. When we took my dad up there in 1991, the grass was always manicured and weed free. Now it appears that the grass only gets a quick clip because the grass is always high. And several markers are growing over with grass. I maintain the two Welsch areas but can’t do the entire section. If this makes me sad, I know it will make the family members of those resting there equally as sad. The appearance of the grounds reflects the work ethic of the employees. My mom would be disappointed in the way this cemetery has fallen into ruins. I also see some graves that have had artificial flowers on for weeks. I would like to put artificial flowers on my graves but I don’t want them to be removed and thrown out. I think artificial flowers look much nicer than dead ones. After all, there’s enough death there. It actually makes the cemetery look and feel creepy. And with the dear problem up there, who wants to spend good money on live flowers only to have them destroyed. My family were long standing contributors and business people in the community. To have their final resting place look like a dump is just disrespectful to us their family. Please hire some people who have a good work ethic and take pride in their job.

After the passing away of our beloved kitty, having gone through shocking difficult last days, we were looking to find a beautiful and quiet resting place for our baby . I didn't want to cremate but bury him and Jefferson was one of the few places I found at 2:30 am. I called their office and received call back from their Director Dagny in less than 15 mins. She answered all my questions so well and put all my concerns to rest. I saw the place and finalized paperwork as soon as their offices opened and they immediately had my sweet baby in their care . Next day of service was a beautiful day with many signs of our angel's reunion with the divine creator. Jefferson team is so kind and professional. God bless them for supporting our heartbroken family in such a tender time so well. Our darling boy rests in peace now in such a beautiful spot , a sacred sanctuary. God bless all the beings and bring them peace. Om Shanti.

A beloved friend was laid to rest in a mausoleum located in your cemetery. Unfortunately, I’m not always able to make your deadline for removal of artificial flowers only to find they have been removed. However, live flowers which have been dead for a noticeably long time remain. Artificial flowers are extremely expensive. At times, my arrangements have cost in excess of $30 only to be missing when I am finally able to collect them. In my opinion, leaving the artificial flowers in place would only enhance the appearance of the mausoleums.
Could you please comment on the rationale for removal of the artificial arrangements while leaving the dead flowers. There is no grass to cut on a mausoleum and removing/destroying someone’s expensive artificial arrangement makes no sense to me. Could you please explain your rationale, as I might be missing a critical point.
After Review of Jefferson Memorials Response…It is clearly evident from the response that Jefferson Memorial is discouraging people from utilizing beautiful artificial flowers to honor their loved ones so that they can promote their own “Flower Placement Program”. Unfortunately, they continue to take advantage at a time of grief rather than improving policies that are sympathetic and equal to everyone.

As of today they still have not planted grass since burying my Dad 9/1/23. Keep getting the runaround and promises of call backs. He would be livid. He took such pride in his yard.

The beauty of the grounds and wildlife make you forget your 15 minutes away from a bustling city. It's so calm and peaceful and you can tell they take great pride in our military members...it was emotional looking at all the markers for the unknown soldiers who passed. Love this place and I go to visit my grandparents, great, and great-great ones as often as I can when I return home to Pittsburgh.

Laura was wonderful with helping me with my Dad. I always ride by this cemetery and it's always beautiful. Laura was kind, patient and compassionate. I'm happy my Dad's resting place is at Allegheny Cemetery.

My child has been buried in HOMEWOOD CEMETERY for almost 16 years, I'm glad I had the burial instead of cremation, I APPRECIATE and THANK GOD for the services my deceased child receives since I don't live in the state of Pennsylvania, THANK YOU and GOD BLESS HOMEWOOD CEMETERY FUNERAL HOME for being able to take care of us for so long , sincerely Ms.B.Collette Paige

Beautiful place to slow down in the middle of a big city. Great for walks, bike rides, and wildlife viewing. Each season has something new to offer for young and old. I've been told by birders that it's an excellent location to find a variety of species. I personally enjoy the relatively low light pollution and take my telescope there from time to time.

I have family members located here..the landscape is beautiful..very peaceful feeling that comes over me as I walk the roads around the grounds.

Nice cemetery. Spend lots of time here.

Beautiful place to walk, bike, or jog around. Not a bad place to learn how to drive a car either! Either you get it right or the ambulance doesn't have to drive you very far 😂. Jokes aside, it's a lovely park, I'm dying 😁 to visit again

An update to a previous review. The cemetery has a cut flower garden which allowed me to place flowers on my mother's grave for her birthday, as well as the graves of my father and older brother. Thank you!

One of the most incredible cemeteries in the area. The mausoleum also is very nicely kept. Certain a great place to walk

We'll kept and very peaceful. I have loved ones in different sections all over the cemetery

Absolutely beautiful mausoleums and monuments. Allegheny Cemetery is a nationally registered historic place and has been repeatedly ranked in the Top 10 cemeteries in the USA.

This is a peaceful and amazing resting place, where my Father and other family members are laied to rest. Gothic and old, pay your respects to Veterans and Families. If you like to explore history and see amazing Stone monoliths & mausoleums this is a stop on your list. There's also a Vietnam veterans memorial wall here where my father happens to be buried. A reverent space to stop and pray. Visit the resting places of the loved ones here.

Gorgeous cemetery. It's a beautiful place for a walk or visiting loved ones.

Always a great walk. I go regularly during covid. All sorts of great Easter eggs to find.
Use the road stripes to navigate, white is the fastest way through, red is the longest, and green is the hilliest. Other roads connect between the main arteries.
Look out for ‘Jaws’, down the white/red striped trail in section 27.
Also look out for the greatest dad joke in eternity, ‘The family tree’.

My father's funeral was at the end of January. He had one day of viewing. We had to ask for stands for pictures, we had to ask for water, they were only moderately attentive.
It took 4 months for the marker to be placed. When we went out today we were taken to where they thought he was buried. A gentleman took us down a hill, while someone else stood at the top. After several minutes of walking back and forth not finding it, a 3rd person showed up, wandered around looking. The 3 gentlemen stood at the top of the hill while my step mom and I continued wandering around looking. We finally looked at them asking where he was. The reply was that "the girl marked it wrong on the sheet of paper" and said he was further down. I felt it was incredibly unprofessional. They knew we were coming, and knew what time. The plaque was dirty, and we should not have been led on a wild goose chase. They could have been prepared for us coming, since it was scheduled.

I stopped in the office on Saturday May 16th and requested if my brothers grave could be filled in. The person at the desk put in a request for me. I went out today to put flags on the graves, and I was delighted to see that my brothers grave was filled in. Thank you so much

This cemetery is a celebration of life! I go running here in the evenings and there are so many paths and trails and interesting things to see. People bike, run, walk, and learn to drive here. There is tons of activity at any time of day. There are entire sections of the park where you can't see anything but rolling hills and trees all around you. It's hard to believe it's in the middle of the city.

This cemetery is aces of resting places. I highly recommend a visit while alive. Life is short - a peaceful walk or a meditative sit here among the tree-lined paths, deer grazing peacefully, and architecturally awe-inspiring tributes to those who have gone before us, will center you. To quote Pitbull, 'Every day above ground is a great day - remember that.'

I give 3 stars only because every time I visit my parents grave near the chimes it and many other graves are flooded. So much that I have to put my hand into a couple inches of water to get the vase for flowers. It is disheartening to see. It has been for many years. Sunken headstones and water pooling up on gravestones. Not only ours but the whole area. Can something be done????

Beautiful family owned cemetery and funeral home. The staff at the funeral home did such an amazing job on my grandparents viewings and funeral. Everyone is so nice and friendly! The cemetery is so gorgeous and always taken care of. Definitely recommend.

Rest in peace we will miss you.

Very nicely maintained historic cemetery. Interesting architecture and grounds, plus amazing amount of deer, ducks and geese for such an urban setting. Great place to explore and walk around. Several entrances with amazing gates and grand entrances. An early who's who of Pittsburgh. Highly recommended.

I Did Not Personally Pay Any Money To This Institution. Insurance, In One Situation, And Cash Payments Made By The Father & Uncle Of The Deceased In Another Situation Took Care Of The Invoices For 2 Deaths Within 2 Months Of Each Other A Few Years Back. The Experience Was Actually Not All That Bad In The Office, Making Arrangements. It Was Afterwards That Things Went South. I Can Honestly Say I Will Not Under Any Circumstances Deal With This Institution, What Happed Was Unacceptable, And Down Right Unprofessional.

Doubles as a park. Great place for walks and bike rides. Safer than general neighborhood streets for kids to learn to bike, etc., with the exception of some steep hills. Great place to experience some nature without leaving paved road. If you're looking for hiking trails, the cemetery connects to the Frick Park down near Reynolds Street.

Find you, good for dog walking, not a bad place to end up.

I wouldn't want to be buried anywhere else.
