AVOID this cemetery if possible! They COMPLETELY fail to realize that cemeteries are just as much for the LIVING, for the survivors, for the mourning loved ones - as for those who are buried there. This cemetery strips all mementoes that a mourner might leave at the burial site, EVEN a small & dignified memorial marble plague - that is temporarily placed until a monument can be erected SHAME on the heartless people who run this place!

Nice older cemetery. Fairly well maintained .Some famous Jewish Rabbis are buried here, R. Soloveitchik comes to mind. Very narrow roads though, drivers take care.
Beautiful cemetery pleasant and helpful staff. My mother is buried here on a hill right by the NYC skyline she loved so much may she continue to rest in peace

Not far from Jewish Center of Ridgewood at 55-39 Myrtle Ave, 2PM Mincha minyan Mon-Thu.
Men playing soccer and drinking by my Dad's grave, they were not visiting, this is by Grover Cleveland park. I have no problem and I think it is nice when loved ones picnic by their loved ones grave site, but to drink and leave your beer bottles is disrespectful. What happened to the guard?
This is the place where I always love & never forget my Titi Lusia who she always loves me with only in my soul. & Make me wanna be a Talented being
I was there for the burial of my cousin that passed away a few days ago

God Is Great .Everything God does is great. Our great God .My Great God.Not a bad looking burial ground..but the cemetery needs a good cleaning around it's borders..Paper and trash everywhere..You shouldn't know from it.Remember .........Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Such a thing..

It's full of dead people. So five stars, if that's your thing.

Well maintained in general. But if you come with a car this isn't the place for you. The roads are very narrow and seemingly were built way before cars were invented. The staff here are very helpful with finding gravestones.
I ćontacted the cemetery after locating the records for 3 relatives in NYC who passed away in the early 1900’s. I have their names, dates of births and dates of deaths and I know they were buried at Linden Hill according to the records. I asked the cemetery if they could provide the plot Locations so I could visit their burial sites and they wanted a $49 fee to give me the tombstone site location. What type of cemetery does that? Ridiculous they should be ashamed of themselves.

So many generations in my family of god fearing jews are buried here. It was a very moving experience. We saw great grandparents buried near their offspring who married each other many years later.
The place may be nice, but the owners and manager are definitely not. We arrived there (over 20 cars) for the burial at 2:30pm, but the funeral car got lost and arrived at 15:03pm. The manager charged us $420 for that "latency", regardless of the fact that this was not a guest, it was a funeral's car and driver. But, of course, the funeral home also didn't want to pick up a tab, though it was actually their issue. My point is that at the worst possible time, when we're all heart-broken, looking at the fresh hole in the ground, and trying to piece together the new reality, these people take full advantage of that. I'm a firm believer in KARMA, good or bad. I'm sure they will soon feel the same for their conduct.
Would definitely not recommend anyone this place, or such experience.

A large, Jewish cemetery with a fairly helpful staff. I have relatives here and was a little disappointed that the grounds and graves weren't better cared for. One of my relative's stone was toppled but the cemetery doesn't assume responsibility for taking care of that issue. I wish the cemetery association showed more reverence for our late loved ones.

Located Grave quickly to get work done
I wish I can go into detail but long story short, my great grandfather's remains are missing and no logical reason given to me by the management. Just that unused portions of graves were sold.. okay.. where are the remains???? No response. Don't hesitate questioning what happens "what if" in 50 years the Cemetery is sold will they respectfully re-inter the remains elsewhere and keep track. So beyond disrespectful!!!!

Awesome
My maternal grandparents are buried here. One thing I wish is that we can place flowers (even small ones) at the gravesite. Other than that, the place is very clean and quiet.

The New York chief rabbi is buried there. Also alot of other big people. Closes very punctual.
Its unfortunate I have to write this review because I have family buried here; however, this cemetery is constantly unkept. The grass is often growing wild, and there have even been several times where I've seen headstones turned over and trees up rooted This damage may have been a storm, but it will often sit this way for months and months. All of this in what is supposed to be a "Perpetual Care" cemetery... not so much!
