Amazing little wooden shoe workshop in the pretty picturesque windmill village of Zaanse Schans. They specialise in making clogs. I was lucky enough to visit here on my recent trip to Holland 🇳🇱 - April 2024.
I came here on 22-04-24, such a beautiful 😍 little place to visit. From the outside with the clogs displays artwork to the mini museum inside the workshop. I was fortunate enough to watch a pair of clogs being made in action.
Busy place but everyone was courteous of each other and patient waiting to take pictures outside.
The wooden shoe workshop also sells an array of clogs and souvenirs. A wonderful place to visit when you are in Zaanse Schans. It has such a peaceful ambience.

Entrance to the Wooden Shoe Workshop of Zaanse Schans is free of charge, where visitors can enjoy a demonstration of clog making. The variety of designs available for purchase adds to the experience. Despite being a popular tourist attraction, the staff remain friendly. However, visitors should be prepared for crowds due to its popularity.
The visit is free. I enjoyed the demo on wooden shoe making (clogs). They also sells clogs there. Variety of them. Friendly people and very assistive. The only thing i wish for is that it is bigger for us to roam around. Can be quite congested around the souvenir place when tour comes in with a bus load of people

Absolutely a must visit location. The clog making workshop has presentations all day long, so you can see it whenever, and it's 5 to 6 minutes long so there's no long waits. They are also free, at the entrance you can see the history and evolution of clog making and then go into a well stocked souvenir shop.

This was a good tour and overview of the Dutch cheese and shoe making process. There was a wooden shoe making demonstration as well as a cheese sampling. I thought the most interesting part was about the houses in the area. Some date back to the 1700's. The tour was about 2.5 hours which is about right for a pleasant afternoon. The rainbow was a bonus!
Nice stop, where we were able to see several examples of clogs. The displays were nicely done. They had an area set up with equipment used to make them as well. We were able to try pairs on to see what they felt like. They offered seveal for purchase. It's worth the time to check out if you're in the area.

Such a cool beautiful place! We walked along the road to see those old windmills. Every time we stopped was a picturesque view. Magnificent!
You can also warm up yourself by having a hot chocolate milk with whipped cream for €2.

Dutch windmills....you have to come here to see them in reality

Die Mühlen können teilweise gegen eine kleine Gebühr besichtigt werden. Ansonsten ein sehr schönes Fotomotiv und ein netter Ort für einen kleinen Spaziergang

Great place if you like windmills. Couldn't find any tulips out there in case you wanted to kill two birds with one stone, but definitely worth the visit.
