A experiência que tive, foi uma mistura de sentimentos, algo muito forte!
O museu é teoricamente pequeno, mas achei bem completo. Fomos em um dia de semana, ele abre as 13:00, com estacionamento e entrada gratuitos. É obrigatório preencher uma fichinha para entrar, então se você não lembrar o número do RG, não esqueça de levar, porque a entrada só é permitida mediante essa ficha totalmente preenchida! Senti muita falta de uma lojinha de souvenires, já que todos os museus que visitamos, gostamos de levar algo para lembrar daquele dia, também não possuem uma lanchonete ou algo do tipo para comer, talvez por ser pequeno mesmo e a visita não demorar tanto. Mas como disse, é tão rico em detalhes que acabamos demorando mais que o esperado!
O Museu é lindo, cheio de histórias, meu marido e eu nos emocionamos, não recomendo para crianças, pois tem muitas imagens fortes(imagens de crimes reais)fiquei bem impactada! Mas realmente vale muito a pena!!!

O museu é incrível, não esperava ter tanta coisa assim! Não iria se fosse apenas fã de true crime, acho que recomendar o museu apenas por isso é muito ruim. Existem fotos de crimes reais lá dentro e ir com a expectativa de ser algo "controlado" é ruim, não pensem assim. A experiência foi ótima, o senhorzinho que me atendeu foi super gentil e falou sobre a experiência dele na profissão e explicou o processo de investigação de uma cena criminal.
Visita realizada dia 16/11/2023: Fui sem agendar e entrei tranquilamente; O local fica dentro da Acadepol que fica dentro da USP no Butantã; Do metrô Butantã até o local, a pé, dá cerca de 15 minutos; Não levem crianças, apesar de não ser proibida a entrada tem cenas que podem ser chocantes pra elas; A visita é gratuita; Não funciona dia de feriado e durante a semana é das 13 às 17h; O Museu é pequeno mas incrível. Boa visita, pessoal. Pode fotografar e filmar sem flash quase tudo, menos a parte de medicina legal e o acervo das armas.

Beautiful garden, resembles germany's ones. Beautiful and clear structure. I just went outside and it was a great place to take pictures :)

One of the most beautiful museums in São Paulo. The Ipiranga museum is a great spot to learn more about Brazil’s history and be mesmerized by the great collection of historic elements they have there. The tour took about 4 hours to complete without rushing to see things and we didn’t pay to enter since they were reopening the museum after a long time being closed. I’m not sure how much the tickets costs now. Definitely worth checking out this place if going to SP.
Beautifully renovated museum exploring Brazilian culture and history. A must-see when in Sao. It is located in a beautiful park and the public can also access the garden. Free admission. Very handicapped accessible through elevators, and braille labels and signs. Some artworks are also outlined for the blind to feel and imagine. The public is immersed in the architecture of the museum through the views, windows, and details throughout.
What a gift to São Paulo to have the Museum restored and renovated. The main hall where THE painting is located, is definitely the highlight, in my opinion. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece, the main staircase is such an imposing place. Totally worth visiting either as a tourist or a local.
The building has been beautifully restored. The lobby and larger paintings are impressive. Unfortunately, the collections, in my opinion, are quite modest. More descriptions than items. I don't remember if there were any in English at all, if so, not many. Although the leaflet was in English and thanks to it I knew where I would find what.
On the big plus - the museum is prepared for blind visitors. On the roof there is an observation deck with a beautiful view.
In front of the museum is a huge fountain and a garden that was partly under restoration. Park behind the museum. A lot of people on the weekend.
