Fantastic little trail. So quiet and serene. Some parts remind me of the Bruce trail.
Love this place, like the Trails, great place to hike and Canoeing
many animals walk along the trails. small lake for walking.
A nice group of hiking trails within city limits. It was a touch wet due to the season but still a really quiet place to hike and watch the ducks and the geese or to fish.
Nice trail! Bug repellent a must if you a doing the whole trail. Lots of birds, dragonflies and water fowl. Good appox 1 hr trail. Painted colored trail markers are present but could use a paint job as they seem to be weathered.
Quiet walk. Nice path system. Gr8 walk along the pond. It would be better if the conservation area would dig and clean out the pond.
We love the Strathroy Conservation area, as its in the heart of town it provides a great outdoor experience for us and the kids. Trails are beautiful maintained, and the playground equipment keeps the kids running the entire time. The trails are vast and at time challenging, there are even moments you forget your in the kiddle of town, you get a feeling of being in the middle of the forest.
Strathroy Conservation Area is immediately west of the down town core. The man- made pond is dammed on the east end. Surrounding the pond is an extensive trail that meanders through a green belt. The green belt is large enough that I rarely saw houses while walking on the trail. During my initial hike, I traveled more than 10 kilometers. I by no means exhausted the trail system. The pond itself it large enough to support canoeing. The canoe launch is close to the park entrance and 30 parking spots. Strathroy is fortunate to have such a great hiking trailing so close to the down town.
