The exterior of the castle is beautiful. To my memory, it’s the only caste that’s been built so close to the Loire river. The art exhibition is incomprehensible however, and boring to look at. The castle is in rough shape: spider webs, moss on the outside and rotten wood.

This is an odd location for a contemporary art exhibition. Not a good match for this kind of art, and rather expensive.

You only realize at the very end of the exhibition that in order he yard’s pebbles, it was written “a bad place” all along. Nice humorist of touch from the artist, but gives you a feeling that you’ve been taken advantage of.
Interesting chateaux with modern art. I think a little expensive for what it is (11 euro each, but that also gets you a discount at some other spots), but interesting im historical info and some art.
Interesting exhibition about art and language. In addition you can enjoy the nice rooms and in particular the roof balcony with great view over Loire.
Lovely, calm hotel on the ankle of the Loire. Beautiful room (#3) with fresh, excellent decor and amenities. Views onto the river. Fantastic welcome from the hosts and receptionist (Julie). Dogs welcome too. Restaurants nearby, great walking, scenic and historic. What a great choice for a short break. Thank you.
The Chateau itself we thought was unremarkable. The items on display were not to our taste as well as being in short supply. We feel like we paid just for the view from the top.
A really great find! Quirky, interesting and in a lovely village setting. Recommend
Standing at 45 meters high, this chateau built in 1443 dominates the town and represents a landmark for navigators of the river Loire, the relaxing banks of which attract many visitors, although sometimes bathing warning notices are posted concerning the algae ( see photo )
