The way this place is designed and built is so perfect. It's so relaxing and calming with lots of activities to do at the same time, lots of shops. Very nice combination of water, trees and modern life. China has the best authentic yet modern stylus sightseeing places
Large free park which is a jewel of Shenzhen. It showcases various themes gardens from different parts of the country, such as, Shanghai garden, Suzhou garden and so on. It has beautiful flowers, cool architecture, quirky statues and more.
It's a great place to get some fresh air and exercise. You should set aside 3 hours to explore. The climb to the pagoda requires moderate fitness.

I don't know why some comments are so mean and picky about them 'do not have permanent show'. This museum has pretty nicely curated shows with decent quality all the time through the year with a ticket cost less than a-cup-of-coffee. I would say that because I know them very well for years, both as an audience and a workmate: this is one of the most influential museums during I grew up, and I also worked as a coworker with them before (in a different museum) after I decide to become an artist and wanted to know about the art system.
Some of their shows are definitely worth checking out if you interest in visual art and design. This is not a commercial art gallery or historic museum, please don't take this wrong and feel disappointed by their “the wrong collection” - It is more of a contemporary museum of design and visual arts works (about half and a half, domestic and international artists ). Also as they known as a very early (maybe the first?) design and newer media focus museum in China.

This place let me think of Garden by the bay of Singapore, nice place for weekend.

Very nice public garden, just across a busy road and hotels. The right place to relax and enjoy your walk through different theme sections.
Nice public garden. Good for a walk to escape the busy city. Really liked the different themes and the hike up the small hill.
Clean and good for kids
Nice place to walk around for a couple hours. Designed to look like an ancient Chinese village. Shopping mall and IMAX on-site.
Ideal place for bird watching
Aside from the gardens, the path up the mountain is also really cool.
A hugh place gathered different kinds of restaurant, I mean a lot like 30-40 restaurant, atmosphere was good, show at 20:00, needs to buy ticket but u can watch at different sides for free.. Daytime restaurant mostly not open beware

原来是旁边华侨城洲际大酒店的洗衣房，后来改建活化成了一个美术馆，虽然地方小，但是很漂亮，去到的时候正在举办与设计和传统文化保育相关的展览，感觉挺新鲜的。
It’s a small gallery featuring a few pieces of traditional chinese art. The location is difficult to get to, however it’s a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
小而精致的美术馆。没有常展只有特展，题材趋向先锋艺术，独特设计，工业，新技术等。相较于内地一般美术馆多以绘画工艺品等传统艺术为重，算是比较有特点的。展览收费较低，但是内部基本没有服务。
Very nice place to visit and walk around, listen to live singer song, enjoy international cousines, take photos alonģ the walkpath decorated by lights.
OCT Harbor is a great place to hang out. Lots of food options (Italian, Thai, Korean, Japanese, and more). Good mall with a grocery store (Ole). Lots of little paths to walk on, bridges to cross, lights at night, and DJI flagship store as well. At Shenzhen Bay Park metro station, use exit E and it will take you right out to the entrance. Quite busy at night, but the lights and live music make the crowds worth it.
A small museum with no permanent exhibition. Shows and events held there in a period of time, which were mostly contemporary.
There were a few artistic places nearby, you could link them and easily spend a day in that neighbourhood.

比较小的美术馆。当天刚好碰到本地油画家在现场，原来是在那里举办个人油画展。

Beautiful well kept park , decent and clean. Nice to spend a couple of hours to get away from the hectic city.
Great atmosphere, chilled place to socially be out having fun. One of the most fun skate parks I've been to as well - often traveled here from Hong Kong.
