Huge park containing multitudes. Transcendent boardwalk traversing a cattail bog. Old growth forest. Mountain bike jumps. Charles River access. Legitimate lake (swimming forbidden as with every other lake in Eastern Mass but I witnessed a local gymnastics camp of 30-40 girls swimming and lo - pretty sure they all survived!)
Impressive work of beavers or otters! Amazing home they made!
Ample parking and elbow room, tranquil old pine forest with lots of wetlands. Good variety of terrain small hills glades walkways.. met only good peaceful dogs and didn't see a single piece of litter. Would stroll again
Today is very nice, Windy but not too cold. Good for walking around.
Great place to hike , signage is a little tired and could do with a refresh
This is a good area for walking, but I didn't like that the entire trail was along or close to the highway. So we listened to the sounds of cars the entire walk.
We walked all the way and it took 1.40 hours (4.3 miles)
Not a bad place overall but seems to be lacking maintenance. All of the wooden equipment on the Fit Trail is rotted well past being able to use, if still present at all. All signs there also seemed at least 20 years old. Could benefit from some upkeep.
A lovely loop around a large pond sandwiched between 128 and the Charles river. While the main loop is lovely the real hidden gem of this park is the long network of trails through the riverside marshes down towards Dedham.
My new favorite launch on The Charles. Usually paddle the charles in Millis/Medfield area and I have never seen the water this clean. Its fall now and the foliage was beautiful. Another couple was at the boat launch when we arrived and said its uaually packed. I can see why. It really is so beautiful here. Can't wait to return and see what the spring has in store! Cutler Park Reservation is a beautiful natural reservation to explore. Cutler Pond is very beautiful to walk around and takes less than an hour to. The reservation is also great for mountain biking as well. Today I went through the Dedham side on the boardwalk and walked to the train tracks. The reservation is great for nature lovers, mountain bikers and anyone who wants to enter nature without much challenge. I definitely recommend visiting.
I almost don't want to post because it's so quiet and scenic! Lots of spots by the water tho hang out and a huge pollinators meadow

Feel like English countryside
Such a nice area!
Really peaceful, great for a picnic, easy to access by car.
Early fall best time of the year to visit: leaves are so colorful and birds are pretty active.

Only downside: those electric poles are so ugly they ruin the experience…
Quiet place. Great to walk dogs. No real water to speak of. Woods here seem to trap heat in the Summer. A lot of wetlands around which dry out in the Summer, which can mean a lot of mud. Also don’t forget your bug spray!
Great little spot. Quiet enough to nearly completely escape town noise. Super pretty in the fall. Great for a walk or trail run, but not supposed to bike.
What a lovely stretch of the Charles River. This time of year not much wildlife.
However, the myriad of twists and turns offer many delightful scenes.
A bonus, if you call it that, is seeing some seriously impressive houses.
Light current and lots to see makes this a candidate for repeated paddles

Very cool park. It made a great stopping point/lunch spot during our kayak trip in the Charles River. Great kayak/canoe landing, benches, and plenty of lawn for picnicking, frisbee, a walk with the dog, etc.
One of our favorite walking spots, right on the Charles, usually not too crowded

Beautiful calm spot to kayak or fish (I think you can fish, don't quote me on that). There are a beautiful family of swans that live near this part of the river as well.
Very nice place to walk or just to sit and enjoy the nature

If you are looking for nice, peaceful, beautiful and unique place for a hike this is the perfect place for it
I've been running at Ridge Hill for years. It's a beautiful asset to the community and other users tend to respect it and keep it wild. Plenty of trails and is very scenic. For how great it is, I'd say it's very underused. Great to have such a great transcendentalist spot so close to home.
It took me 10+ years of living in Needham to find this gem. Wonderful trail system. Recently renovated swamp trail provides a nice boardwalk between the east and west sides of the property. I visit here often.
Very nice to walk! You'll see many people with their dogs. Some parts are not easy if you are in you bike but you will enjoy it. Parking is always enough because is not very crowded and it's free!
Feel the air, listen the birds, stay in peace :)
