Love this place. Perfect for families and kids.
Beautiful for biking, walking or just staring out at the gorgeous water 😇
Very clean place to get a good view of the canal, take a lunch break, or go for a walk and enjoy the beautiful nature and scenery of Cape Cod!
A great lace for a walk bike ride out w the dogs nature on the cc canal can't ask for more
It's a nice place to bike and jog.
It’s a nice place to visit even in the cold season. The boardwalk, the beach, the sea grass are all beautiful. It’s very close to the upper cape so you don’t have to drive far into the cape. Parking lot is big. It even has a playground right there next to the parking lot.
But summer can be busy and a lot more people. That’s for sure.
Nice beach off season. Crazy busy during the season. Clean sand. Water usually always cold. Nice ocean views. Clean bathrooms
This state park was nice. It had good beach access and was very clean. There were a couple of things campers should be aware. First off, water hookups are centrally located, so in the center of 4 sites, so bring a long water hose. At least 100 feet, maybe 150. We ended up going to an empty site closer to hose bib every other day to fill since our 75 foot hose wasn't even close. Second, most sites do not have a campfire ring or setup. They are allowed but have to bring your own. Their are some that have them, just most in the middle around the common bathhouse did not. Showers were decent with good water pressure and bathrooms were large, multiple person use. All sites are walking distance to beach parking and beach so made it easy to let the kids ride their scooters and go play for the day. Playground if good for 3-8 year Olds and is adequate. Overall for the price good solid spot to stay.
Favorite MA beach! Pack as light as possible and try to carry everything. Once you hit the sand on a hot day, all hope is lost with lugging supplies. Snack bar, bathrooms, life guards. We love it here!! Parking fills up fast on weekends. Need to get there early on the weekend or may not get in.
This beach is simply beautiful. They have bathroom facilities and outdoor showers. They also have a snack shack with ice cream, great freshly squeezed lemonade, and other treats. My husband and I bought the year parking pass through the Yodel app so we can park as much as we want without paying for parking each time. It’s definitely a great beach to spend a lazy day listening to the waves. Highly recommend.

Beautiful beach, the ocean is much calmer in the bay. This is listed in an article about handicapped accessible beaches. There is a boardwalk and a nice building with changing rooms, bathrooms, and a concession stand. There are plenty of places to sit. I'm not in a wheelchair, but walking is difficult. There was still a lot of sand between the boardwalk and the water, so I didn't go all the way. I suppose this is to be expected since it is, of course, a beach. It is much more accessible than Orleans Beach and as I said, the water is more calm.
Beautiful and well maintained beach. The views of the beach is great and the beach is clean and great for a family outing or just to hang out and enjoy the scenery and atmosphere
Nice little parking area with a bathroom and picnic table. Great place to start your canal walk!
Nice, clean beach just over the bridge going into the Cape. Has real bathroom facilities, showers, and changing areas. This beach also has a small snack shack that sells burgers, hot dogs, wraps, fries, drinks, and popsicles- it’s only open during peak summer months. Ample parking and you pay for parking on your phone- which is great for someone like me who never carries cash! It’s my favorite beach to go to for a day trip. My family and I usually spend the entire day at Scusset Beach, then on the way home, go to Seafood Sam’s for dinner and Twin Acres for ice cream!
My first time camping there, looking forward to many more visits. Clean, quiet, and great beach area. Being next to the canal provides some great opportunities to watch a variety of boats come through. My hubby enjoyed fishing from the canal, as well. Overall, a great experience!
You would think that there would be quite a bit to do at the location especially with the word recreation- not the case. That said, it's a great place to park and explore the canal. The canal has places where you could use the restroom and find some shade on a hot summer day of needed be. It was a wonderful walk all the way down to the beach! Round trip 8+ miles. Enjoy yourself on a great canal walk, run or bike ride. It's beautiful but can get busy in season.

Easy access parking lot. Was plenty of empty parking spots eve though it was a busy day. Nice access to the bike trail with a good view of the channel and the bridge. Parking lot pavement shows its age. Also there is a picnic area nearby. People just enjoy the nature. Lots of fishing.
Great views of the canal day or night but that's about all that's good. The foul mouth beer guzzling fisherman litter the area with cigarette butts, nip bottles and F bombs. The neighbors use it as their own private property. They're allowed to park cars and even commercial vehicles for days, even weeks on end. The townie kids hang around in their cars drinking beer and smoking pot without fear. BUT, should you be a dying man who prefers to spend his remaining time enjoying the views from the safety of his own car you're not welcome. First, one of the neighbors told me all about his best buddy Lt so and so. When that didn't scare me off he started reporting me to the police as a possible over dose. Then, he got the rangers in on the act. One of the rangers told me anyone can park a vehicle for as long as they want. You just can not be in it. Apparently, that's not enforced with the drunken fishermen sleeping it off in their pickups. Now, the State Police have begun hitting my car with high beams and the spotlight. I'm glad to know the upper Cape is so crime free that so much resources can be put to use to satisfy one loud mouth.
