Many walks to choose from. Some steep trails so be careful in wet & snowy conditions. Great views

Nice car park and starting point for a walk in the hills.
In fairness we arrived not too long before sunset so we literally saw the tree stumps erected. I'm sure there's much more to see on the trail

Lovely place for a walk around some small ponds. Free parking, and can easily access St Cuthbert's Way as well. Some beautiful countryside. Nice little memorial garden called Sheila's Stell
Lovely place. Very interesting and informative noticeboards around the site with a touch of humour by way of drawings.

The War Memorial in the car park is a poignant read.

Surprised to find this gem of a place with beautiful views of sheffield and such varied terrain, crags, heather, woods, heath and lots of birds.
Absolutely superb, thought provoking and well organised. Great to see a replica henge bringing these mysterious sites alive.
We completely drive past this. But found it eventually. Was a nice little walk regardless. Lots of signs about the history.
Amazing views. A bit steep out of the woods but after that, the walk is easy to follow and well worth it. Great photo opportunities
Brilliant place for families to explore and maybe picnic. There is a trail cut through the longer grass and trees.with information on the history. Very interesting great for kids to find the next part of the trail. The wooden henge would be great for them to run around in. Not to long a walk and free.

Lovely, gentle, access for all walk around the common.
The car park (free) has an information board and is the starting point for the walks. There are no toilets.

The loop takes approx 10mins on a tarmac path suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. The route passes memorial plaques, benches and information boards
There are 3 picnic benches near the car park which space for a wheelchair.
Along the loop are tree and nature information boards, along with bird feeders, bird boxes and Red Squirrel peanut feeders (3 at present). We have seen Red Squirrels, Roe Deer and Barn owls along with more common bird species.

Sheila's Shiel is worth a look, situated on the grass beside the car park, it commenates Sheila the Collie who was awarded the Dickens Medal. Her story is on the information board in the car park.
