Great for flag football practice!
Perfect for kids 3-70. Free makes it available to all. Completely handicap accessible (long ramp, but doable). Limited hours, so plan a good time
The indoor section was closed, so I will only be reviewing the outdoor garden. Here are my honest thoughts. I've definitely seen better. The space is not utilized very well, points of interest are often super far apart with large patches good ol Midwest grass. It felt like a park that would normally be free, but it was not free and actually pretty pricy compared to other gardens. It took about 40 minutes to explore, so wear good shoes. It wasn't a bad place, and if I lived here I would likely come again, but it's definitely not a "top 10 places to visit in omaha" kind of destination. Maybe I will come back when the indoor portion is done. Wish they would at least cut the price in half while that was being worked on lol.
Lauritzen Gardens is one of my happy places in Nebraska. I especially enjoy their dog day where I can enjoy flowers and serenity with my pup. It is about half an hour walk back and forth.

Oh my goodness, this is a beautiful and tranquil place and built on 100 acres. They have done amazing work to make this so pretty. The conservatory is closed until the fall, so remember that when you are headed over here. I took the tram around the botanical and it was a guided tour and it was about a 50 min ride with a couple of stops for 10 min to get out and take pics. It's an extra $5 in the ticket price, but it's well worth it!
The greenhouse isn't open but the grounds are beautiful. The variety of gardens is refreshing - from more natural to orderly, and even a train garden and culinary garden and waterfalls. Lots of things were in bloom (we went May 22). The rose garden was my favorite. The train garden was also fun and cute. I would have appreciated a little more signage or an identification book; often I wondered what a plant was, and there was no sign. But we had a great time, and a great walk. (Wear UV protection if it's at all sunny.)
One of the best botanical gardens we've visited. The Brickosaurs exhibit was worth the trip - so creative and amazing. Highly recommend taking the tram around the grounds to see more. The model train display was incredible - wish we could have watched it longer.
Lauritzen Gardens is a gem in Omaha. Really neat place for people of all ages. Recently explored the Brickosaurs Exhibit which was amazing! My toddler loved it too. The outdoor area is awesome, and I didn't realize how many walking trails there are! Looking forward to coming back another time!
This is absolutely stunning! Make sure to plan on being here at minimum 2 hours to see the bare minimum of this gorgeous garden! With several waterfalls and places to sit and just take in the lush landscape this will give tranquility to your day. They have a coffee shop, cafe and out door patio with fire pits and corn hole. The artwork is phenomenal and includes many LEGO displays of dinosaurs. Either leisurely walk or take the 50 minute tram to enjoy the view. The gift shop is very well priced! Several restrooms that are spotless!
This place was AMAZING! My favorite find during our Omaha trip. It was just something we happened upon and was not on our radar at all. It was beautiful and so well thought out. We spent a lot of time walking through the various shops in this space. I would have loved to dine here in the evening when the lights came on.

Beautiful place to walk around. Unfortunately I was not here the best time of the year however I still enjoyed the walk. We ate at the cafe and the ladies there were so lovely. The food was fresh and there were multiple options for such a small place. I had the hummus veggie wrap and my sister had the egg salad croissant and both were great. They were setting up the Christmas displays which starts tomorrow 11/16 and it looked like it was going to be beautiful with the lights and the poinsettia’s.
Such a neat little gallery of local artists. Definitely recommend a browse through if you're in the Old Market. Different media and art styles with regular updates
While there isn't a lot of stuff here, this is one of the nicer parks I've been to in this area. It's in a very affluent neighborhood. There are only a few things for kids to do, but it has enough for a small family or two. The park itself is very well groomed and well taken care of. I didn't note a lot of people coming through the area, but it was mid day during the week when we went. The only real issue I have is that there is not a restroom. It seriously limits the amount of time you can come to a park and enjoy it with your kids when there are no restrooms.
Beautiful place to go explore! The garden has lots to do and they sometimes have performers Who will be near the main building performing. The actual garden has many different areas and really nice walking trails. They have definitely a lot to explore. There is also a lot to do in the area and it is a couple blocks from the zoo which is also very exciting! Go check them out!
Pretty good. Pond full of dead fish in the Japan area. Lots of new construction going on and exciting things on the horizon. The smell of the foliage was incredible. I was transported to every memory and place that mattered. Ultimately a neat spot, would recommend wasting a few hours here!

As an owner of a special nursery & garden center, I have a unique perspective on garden’s one might say. Lauitzen Gardens was enchanting to say the least. What a refreshing, serene setting they have created. A great visit for an individual, a date, the family, a corporate retreat and or a educational experience for a classroom of children. If you are a nature lover, you will LOVE THIS PLACE! A wonderful get away from the city, just minutes from downtown Omaha. The gift shop is cute and quaint with items that reflect whats taking place throughout the gardens. The conservatory is a must see with multiple climatic zones being offered. Start at the top floor with a cup of coffee and meander down though various flora and fauna which represents each climatic zone. Bring your camera as many photo ops exist. I only had a couple of hours to spend and feel I hadn’t even scratched the surface of all that’s available to see. Natives of Nebraska both in herbaceous perennials, woody shrubs and trees are brilliantly represented. Colorful displays of annuals are splashed about to keep one mesmerized. They offer a snack area inside and don’t worry plenty of benches are available if you get tired of walking. They have trams as well for those who prefer to ride vs walking. Have I sold you on this wonderful place yet? I hope so, its one of my new favorite places!!!
Beautiful conservatory and multiple, smaller themed gardens around the grounds (about 1.25 miles of walking to see everything). Some construction underway at the time of my visit (17 SEP 23), but it didn’t really detract from the overall effect. The smaller gardens are a mixed bag, with some exhibiting more design and production work than others, but all are attractive. The model railroad with multiple, running trains was really interesting. There’s an immense amount of outdoor space to grow into, and the construction projects are expanding the facilities to take advantage of some of it. All-in-all, it was a great way to spend a morning.
Wow, the gardens are so pretty and unique! My friends and I went at 10:30am as part of my bachelorette party. I definitely recommend taking the tram for a little extra money as there are tons of acres and a lot of walking. The nice part about the tram is it stops and allows for passengers to explore different areas. There is also a cute coffee shop with lots of area to sit and read or play games amongst the plants. The place seems to have a lot of future growth and lots of inclusive events for people of all ages. I highly recommend stopping here!

This place was beautiful. We went in Aug, so we missed out on the May spring flowers, but we’re going to go back.
We took the tram tour. It was great, it was a guided tour (pre-recorded) but very informative. I do recommend going on it so you get to pass by and learn about all of the attractions.
It’s family friendly, or good as a date. It’s a must see for sure.

A wonderful park for walking and relaxing with children. You can also take a walk with your pets.
The walkway is worth the trip!

Gorgeous park with a perfect size play ground for a few children. Open green space to play.
Pretty little park, not many people due to Covid I imagine. By it was a great place to take a break from driving and sit in the shade.
