Beautiful and bit crowded park in the city. I prefer to go there to see happy faces, families, and old people who are happily using the area. This makes me more happy and feel good in my lonely life in mysore. Its a place I frequently spend time with.
It is the best and quite place to anyone who wants to read, spend time with the family, and also to take photos, beautiful trees are available in the park.
And also it's maintenance is good, clean and tidy.
Had a good time with family and also took good photos.

Started trekking from Shri Chamundeshwari Hill Foot, it was a great experience, able to claim 1000 steps in 45 minutes, visited temple and Got blessings of Shri Chamundeshwari Devi 💥✨✨
The palace itself is magnificent but the management is horrible.
1. They accept only cash. Online booking website is not available.
2. They will not accept UPI, Debit/credit cards. But a consolation is that the ATM is just outside one of the gates
3. We went on 31st December 2023 so it was very crowded. We just kept moving wherever the crowd moved, like in Mumbai local :)
4. They charge 100₹ per person which is a bit too much honesty. Parking fees separate.

Visited the seashell museum in Mysuru – amazing shells from everywhere! Dr. Radha Mallapa's 40 years of work is incredible. Plus, it's conveniently walking distance from the sand museum, and tickets are just ₹60 per adult. A must-see spot!

You need to take an entry ticket for ₹100 per person and then enter, deposit your shoes/slippers and then go for a tour inside the palace. After the tour, you come back, collect your slippers and go towards the garden area (in front of the palace).
The real beauty of the palace can be seen when the lights are up. Slowly slowly they will turn on the lights and at 7 pm sharp, the palace will be lighted up fully. The lights are there from 7 pm till 9 pm. Musical show will also start from 7 pm.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. We travel all over the world to see beautiful castles and palaces - this definitely is among the great ones, right here in our India. Highly recommend a tour guide - helps understand the history better and shows the things that we would otherwise miss.
It's near Mysore railway station. Children will enjoy it a lot. Nominal charges for parking and entry which includes a toy train ride as well. The covered journey to the railway. You will find Rail coach cafe where you can enjoy some fast food.
Its a good historical palace maintained by Government. There are many old paintings pasted on its wall which tells its palace history and day today life of King, Queens, their children and how they live, what they wear, everything about them. Parking space is available here. Tickets is 100/- per head for adults. Inside the palace everyone has to go bare foot. Guides are available at outside hire them and get amaze by this palace.
The campus is really awesome and calm and is well taken care of. No tickets has to be taken, the entry is free. As in for the exhibits, the collection is just ok. May be good for LP school children for a study tour. The place isn't much crowded anytime so you can have a pleasant visit taking your own time. There's a side entrance to Karanchi lake also near the entrance.
Wow very big palace, well maintained. It was fully crowded when we visited. It's better if you visit on non-public holidays. Can spend more time on watching every floors. Night palace lightings are more attractive. This you should not miss. When we visited Flower show was there.

Spectacular view of the Palace. One of the master pices of India. This palace is very beautiful and very well maintained. One of the best places in Karnataka. This place has so much of historical significance.

A must visit for any train enthusiast. It showcases a huge collection of railway engines and coaches. You can also go for a toy train ride. Ticket prices are minimal. Both kids and adults can enjoy the train models and ride. There are canteen to cater to your hungry belly. They offer a variety of snacks , beverages, and food.
It is a great place to visit. The place was very beautiful architecture wise but it is usually crowded on the weekend and public holidays. I recommend you to better visit in a weekday in the morning times so that you can have your leisure time to view the pace and its beauty.

visited nearby botanical garden which is still getting developed. big area. park is also adjacent. but entrance is separate for both. they could have clubbed together. par used to be better earlier.

Very beautifully carved monolithic idol of Nandi. It is an 15 minutes downward trek from the Chamundi Hill. There is also an road as well for reaching the place. Magnificent architecture Must visit..!!

This is the main attraction and beauty of Mysuru. People including foreigners visit this place. Must visit place. If you are staying in Sunday night, must not miss the illumination view from 7-8pm. I was lucky to see the beauty of this palace in sunlight, evening light and special Sunday evening light. It was one of my life time experience.

Probably the cleanest destination in the city. So well maintained. Lot of info on trains, cool displays, toy train ride, cafe. Spacious and green space. The huge trees and their canopy made it seem cool even in the hot sunny afternoon.

It is quiet a refreshing place.. We loved this place. Calm and beautiful place.. Children can play there. There is also a toy train... We all can take atrip on that.. That is also included in the entry fee.. We get lot of information about Indian Railway old equipments and technologies.. Small description notes are included with every things.. A hidden gem in the heart of Mysore. Karanji Lake Boating in Mysore is a hidden gem that offers a serene and memorable experience. I recently visited this beautiful spot, and it left me captivated by its natural beauty. Initially, this lake was built as a percolation tank by the Mysore King, to serve as source of drinking water for residents and was used for other chores like bathing, washing, etc. In 1976, the lake has been taken as a part of Mysore Zoo. Since then, it has been maintained by the Mysore Zoo authority. Also known as Fountain Lake it is spread across an area of 90 hectares of lush greenery and rich fauna; out of 90 hectares of area, 55 hectares is the water spread area while the foreshore area is around 35 hectares.

Just amazing. Most important, you are always under surveillance of naughty monkeys, running everywhere you go.

There are ample seating arrangements inside the garden as well as by the side of the lake to spend some time alone or with family or friends as applicable. For going chamundi hills please read Wikipedia page.. if you go via vehicle you will reach cumandeshwari temple but there is other way also which has 1000 steps it's depend on you how you want to go... This nandi is expected to be 2000 year old but it doesn't look like that... It's a good sculpture and on the other side of the hill from chamundeshwari temple... it's on the steps way.

good art work sea shells 🐚, it is amazing to know she took 5 to 8 years to complete each model. Rather than wasting money on surgery food items, it was worth visiting this place and encouraging artist to keep the hard work.

Worst maintenance, the lake smells so foul, we need to walk along the lake side by closing our nose. The water is so contaminated that you can only see green algae over it. And even the children's playing equipments are almost damaged.. The concerned officials should look upon it as soon as possible.

An imposing and huge Nandi Bull statue on the hill is definitely worth visiting. From the Chamundeshwari temple, it's around 15 mins trek one way, downward journey towards the Nandi bull is ofcourse easier but the way back, same route, is a vertical and steep even though with stairs. If you do this trek, you get at least one superb view point for clicking pictures of the city from the hill

Its such a well maintained lake-side garden with huge variety of plants from various types. Clean walking trail with red soil attracts morning walkers and joggers too. It has lots of peacocks & other birds. You can surely enjoy your evening here with friends and family. There's a huge playground as well for younger kids.

The Nandi idol on the way to Sri Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru is a breathtaking monolith that commands awe and reverence. As I approached the magnificent sculpture, I marveled at its colossal size and intricate detailing, a testament to the craftsmanship of ancient artisans. Compared to the ones in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, and Tanjavur, Tamil Nadu, this Nandi stands out for its sheer scale and imposing presence. While all three Nandi idols exude spiritual significance, the one in Mysuru holds a unique charm, perfectly complementing the divine energy of the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple and leaving a lasting impression on pilgrims and art enthusiasts alike.
This place is situated on the way to Chamundi hills, at the foothills. It's just a little further away from the sand museum. This place has a 60 rupees entrance fee.
The people who contributed to creating these beautiful sculptures out of the millions of sea shells they gathered have my utmost respect. The number of seashells gathered to realise this museum and the amount of work that has gone into it to produce such detailed artwork is commendable!

The people who contributed to creating these beautiful sculptures out of the millions of sea shells they gathered have my utmost respect. The number of seashells gathered to realise this museum and the amount of work that has gone into it to produce such detailed artwork is commendable!

One of the must visit places in Mysore. Such an informative yet entertaining places out there. I never thought kids could enjoy so much in a museum. They also learnt a lot. Free entry, no one to restrict visitors and peaceful and clean environment makes it worth visiting every single time. Taxidermy of animals and pictorial representation of evolution are the highlights. Must must must visit if you are planning a trip to Mysore. It's quite close to the palace so u don't have to wander much.

A Bio Diversity Park in Mysore which is more than a Century and a. Half . A good place to exercise. A circuit around the park is a little more than 3.60 kms . Birds come here for nesting from different parts of the world . Rich in both flora & fauna. The pictures you see is Kukkarahalli Lake bio diversity park . Entry is free .
Nice park with simple Garden all around the walking path. Compact Children play space. safe and easy to watch. Elders discussion on their domestic issues extended free environment. You can enjoy without much luxury !

This is an amazing spiritually and beautifully carved Nandhi statue situated little over half way to Chanundeshwari Temple on top of Chamundi hill. You can reach this location either by foot by climbing stairs from Mysuru or by vehicle through dedicated paved one way road. There is also a Cave Shiva temple right next to Nandhi statue. This area been well maintained, there are many vendors including food and beverage. Watch for monkies because they love your food.

Nice and calm place. My kids loved this place. There were many lions, tigers, elephants and fishes that are stuffed. They have a nice garden. Touch, feel and learn garden is not working now. Place showing human evolution was also wonderfully maintained. There is ample car parking space and no entry fee or no car parking fee. There is direct entry to karanji lake from this place.
Its very big park, beside lake. Its like a icing on cake for walkers & joggers.

From lake view point we can see the nice view of lake. Watching Sun-set will be treat for eyes.

It is not too far from city, easy to reach, parking area is also good.
Sunset view point is at the top of the chamundi hill. This top of the hill offers a panoramic view of the Mysore Palace, smaller temples and the Karanji Lake. This is one of the reasons why the hills are very popular with trekkers. The steps are easier to climb than going cross country though the latter offers beautiful views at every step of the way. The best time to start a trek up the hills is in the early morning.

View from here is really good you must see when ever you go from steps.
Nice decent garden with lots of greenery. A nice place to go for morning walk. I have utilised this for my photography sessions. They keep decorating and maintain the flowers from your to time which is a good subject for photography enthusiasts. We have taken some nice pics from here.

Well maintained park. Very good place for a morning and evening walk. Located in center of very good residential area. The kids play area is the key-highlight in this place, they love enjoying in this place. Very quiet and calm place to relax and enjoy personnel time with family and loved once. The feel in this environment is very good. All the neighborhood residents must be availing the benefit of this place. Both two and four -wheeler parking is available. Senior citizens also can visit this place.

It’s one of my favourite places in Mysuru. To see the sun set and the lakes down in the city reflecting the shimmering golden light of the twilight, it just makes you wonder how beautiful the city is and it leaves me speechless. I finally got to do a timelapse when it was least crowded today. Usually it’s packed with crowd and couples.
It's the best place on Chamundi hills to get a clear and magnificent view of sun set!
Lovely park , well maintained, not over crowded , good place to spend time with family and friends, or just for a walk. And there is a bus stop just in front so travel is not an issue as well. The best time to visit according to me is between 3:30 pm and 5pm.

It's a really good park. You can enjoy walking here. On weekends, you can see children playing with their parents and grandparents, senior citizens chatting, youngsters exercising and also enjoying the beauty of nature........superb!
it's a nice place to spend time. There's lot if greenery cool place has nice view to it. Well maintained park. Lot of flowers to amuse you. You can spend time relaxing alone or with family and/friends. Just outside park you will get tea and there are small restaurants as well. It's located in prime spot. So enjoy your time.
