Cartajena food delivery taxi
Pretty great! Guys selling things at the dock a little aggressive but otherwise was great! $10 US to get in. Super reasonable. Animals are very healthy:)
This oceanarium is for western standards may be not what you expect. I believe these fish and animals here we're extremely well taken care of without fancy buildings. They had a bond with their handlers. We were given the option of snorkeling or the oceanarium and we preferred this option since we believe it was less eco damaging than snorkeling over corral reefs and be part of a mass problem of people touching them every day. We loved to see the dolphins s well

Cartagena at night is lit!! Very good vibe!
Very fun time. My grandchildren really enjoyed this visit.
Nice View on Cartagena, not crowded. Heat was bearable die to windy conditiions. Go also down Intro the tombs on the side, where the huge flag ist, a little bit scary down there If you are alone.
Ideal spot for seeing panorama of modern part of Cartagena.
Made a quick stop for pictures. The throng of “vendors” was crazy. Lots of trinkets, hats, water and such. lol, even had some ladies in old world dresses, to give you the opportunity to take their picture ,,, for a price! Word to the wise, set your price, don’t ask how much!!
We got there early to beat the heat and the crowds. It’s a beautiful place to experience some history and learn. The security guards were very friendly and helpful with navigating the fort as well. I would recommend visiting this place.
Beautifully conserved, an unmissable while at Cartagena. You can visit it throughout the day, although you should do so around 8 am or after 4 pm (since at noon it gets too hot and there’s barely any shadow around) - although it has great views and you can see the whole landscape of Cartagena’s center, plus you get to take great pictures!
The best part of the castle for me was the view and the walk-around. I personally am not fond of museums and historical places, although I like to get to know the story of something when it’s a castle or something like this.

There is the story spread around, there is also some kind of labyrinth inside the castle which is kind of creepy if you walk in there by yourself, it’s dark with just a few lights and some tourists walking in. I recommend if you’re looking for a different experience than usual, but not if you’re claustrophobic, lol
Built in the 1600's to protect the city. It has tunnels and offers great views of the city.

A lot of rich history thru out the years. Good way to get exercise climbing to the top of the fort.
Highly recommend this if you’re not in the mood to go snorkeling then this is another good option too. You can dance/play with the dolphins but for an additional fee, although it’s definitely worth it. Very nice and family friendly.
Amazing structure. Totally worth the visit. Definitely recommend visiting this fort (Castillo). I also recommend going to the “Hospital” they have AC there which is great because it gives you a break from the heat and also you can learn more about the history behind the fortification.
What a beautiful piece of history.
Proud of the Colombian culture

This fortress its locate near the historical center and the colorful neighborhood of Getsemani.
It’s still in an incredible conservation state.
With its big angled walls and its cannons it was the main defense point of Cartagena de Indias and south America itself.
The visit of this monument is a must while being in Cartagena. A guided tour would make the visit more meaningful since you will learn all the history and fun facts about the fortress and its surroundings.

It has a lot of viewpoints where to admire the beautiful views of Cartagena from all sides.

Very recommended.
A must!
If you love ancient architecture and history, this is a great place to visit in Cartagena. I purchased a ticket and wandered on my own through the castle, but I noticed there were many people with guides if that's more your thing. I recommend buying some water before you go in because you won't get another chance until you get to the store at the top of the castle that supports a local school for underprivileged kids in the Gethsemane neighborhood. There are great views of the city from the castle and many photo ops.
The only downside of my visit was the two cruise ships that offloaded passengers right about the time I arrived, so it was crowded.
There was a delightful man dressed in historic costume playing a trumpet who was extremely grateful for a small tip for enjoying the music. A dollar goes a long way for him.
Excellent tourist destination on the Carrebian coast of Columbia. A huge Spanish influence. One needs to fix a price before any purchase availing any service.

Great park. I saw a falcon, sloth and monkeys. It was awesome to see these animals in that park. The park ranger was great !!! A gem. Highly recommend.
This is a really nice family-friendly place to visit. It is very clean, and workers appear friendly and knowledgeable. The hardest part of this trip was not knowing Spanish and being able to understand the presentation completely or understanding how to request my needs to go snorkeling or the experience with the dolphins. Otherwise, 5 stsrs!!!!

We went there because we heard that there were beautiful animals, in fact we found our favorite one, but it was very sad to see that they have to live in the middle of the garbage that people leave there... We should be a little more respectful to nature.

Nice park near the old Town of Cartagena. Popular with the locals to stroll, relax and enjoy the nature. Buskers perform here
They get points for saving my Baru trip. 40.000 Colombian pesos to get in. Have to catch a boat ride in and out. The aqarium is on an island. Birds, fish, sharks, turtles & more. They do shows and hands-on activities.
Amazing

Do not go to Cartagena , we spent 2 months there so we know it inside out as it is not so big and it was a terrible experience. We stayed in Castillo Grande which is the best area and the place literally stinks because the sewers sometimes overflow as they have serious problems with them , its dirty, there are only few decent pavements and the cars park on them so its problematic even to walk, when it rains the streets are like rivers as they have no gutters and the rain overfills the sewers, in the old town sellers pester you as soon as you get off the taxi, the beach is dirty and you can see dog and even human excrements apart from beer bottles, used limes, cups etc. , people are not particularly friendly, if you take a tour to the islands you may risk your life. You better read the other negative comments you can easily find over the Internet and trust them, there are hundreds of negative comments that surely people do not make up. If you are very keen to go to Cartagena don't spend more than three days there and avoid traveling by boat to the islands. You may be surprised how my comments compare to the other comments in this page and perhaps wonder why mine is so negative but at that point all you have to do is to go there and see it for yourself.......

Monkeys! And sloths! And big lizards! I fed one of the big lizard fellas a banana. He aggressively ate it. Legend says the monkeys eat people. But you know legends… right… right right right…
Beautiful place!!!

Super cool park, fun spot to grab a drink and just sit and relax. All the groundskeepers are helpful spotting Iguanas, Monkeys, and sloths
Shows an effort of conservation and rescue of animals. It is all a guided tour and doesn't take long, they make it fun and educational.

Stay is less than an hour in total

Worth the money if you like animals, don't buy into the whole zoos or aquariums are evil, there was no sign of any animals having bad health other than those who showed clear signs of being hurt in nature like a turtle lacking the back leg which you can see in the picture attached

Loved this little park in the middle of the city. Saw 6 sloths, so many little monkeys, and iguanas!!
Big variety of aquatic animals. Fish, shark turtle and dolphins.
We just have a few time because the tour boat to enjoy the place. 45 min. But was enough to see everything quickly, but could spend more time for sure.

I absolutely love this park it’s so relaxing and the grounds crew are so friendly if you need help spotting the sloths, monkeys or iguanas.

It is a very safe park day and night and there is some nice quiet seating.

Definitely put it on your list to spend even 15 minutes here if you come to Cartagena!

I enjoyed a lovely visit here with my kids. People were breakdancing in a gazebo and we spotted some little monkeys, parrots and a sloth. It's mostly shaded so it's a good place to visit in the afternoon.
The views of Cartagena are good from here.

Wonderful park in this busy city. Monkeys, sloths, iguanas and parrots can be found here. Lots of shade makes it very attractive.

Absolutely the best arrangements you could imagine coupled with such friendly and personal service
The flowers are reasonable and fresh daily

Great place to visit when in cartagena! Make sure you take the guided tour as you get a better tour with them rather than taking the radio tour.
