A really interesting place to visit, you're not allowed to take photos or video inside the building but it's a very interesting tour with great guides and you will learn a lot. If you can, try and combine this with a trip to his home town as they both link together very well.

Great tour of his home plus we had a pretty knowledgeble tour guide. No pics allowed inside the house but were able to get some nice pics of the outside murals and yard. Recommend if you're a Bob Marley fan
Perfect spot to visit during the week. The walk/hike is about 15mins but the waterfalls is beautiful and you can also walk down to the dam.
Was a lovely experience to go on, Stanley was funny helpful and informative about Bob marley. We got to sing in bobs recording studio. Look out for my single coming out
The museum is filled with lots of pictures, his albums and clothing of the late Bob Marley. An amazing experience. With a newly built smoke shop at the back. A must visit. A well spent $25

Good Day Everyone,
On this visit I finally made it to the Bob Marley Museum. The museum is in Kingston it was worth the bus ride. The museum is on a main road and the building has been well preserved. There’s a restaurant and bar. Inside is where all the historical events have been captured. The home is beautiful but inside due to some of the Copy righting laws photos aren’t allowed inside the home and in many areas there are cameras inside. Our tour guide was informative and educational and a lot of laughs. Every aspect of Bob Marley’s life was recognized and respected. I won’t give all the details of the tour away but I will say it was worth the trip to Kingston reasonably priced and unforgettable.
Definitely put on your to do list if in Kingston!

I went there on Emancipation day and the tour was absolutely amazing. I learnt so much about Bob that I didn’t know. The tour guide was engaging, funny, knowledgeable and so nice. I would definitely recommend you visiting!

I Highly recommend this museum, to visit. The information is phenomenal.
If you love reggae & Bob Marley, you will love this. The security guard/tour guide is so passionate about Peter Tosh and full of addictional knowledge & information.
Please visit and bring life back to Peter Tosh legacy.

Pictures are not allowed in the museum.

Now I know why no one knows about this place the person that’s outside to greet you is very unprofessional. Wanted to build a tour package to bring guests there but that’s a no will just stick to the other professional museum

Nice little museum, price was negotiable. There are not too many visitors, so the staff will tell you a lot about Peter's history individually.
Sadly no pictures allowed, but this was the same in every museum I've been in Kingston. A so it goes...
Going from the main road up to Bowden Hill is narrow and winding. A nice walk from the parking area through lots of vegetation.
Worth the 1500 that we paid. We took half the tour because that was all we had. It was amazing to be in trench town yard. We took the car as we were not sure of safety. Maybe the best way to go because the immediately see you are a tourist. They were super friendly and it was not dangerous. But better safe than sorry. You never know who you can come across. You can see the poverty of the neighbourhood. That's why I think you should go here and do the tour. So you can invest in the neighbourhood.
This tour was pure comedy. We did the basic $20 tour. Black & Proud A.K.A. Mr. Johnson is hilarious. He was under the influence while giving our tour. He basically read the signs in the room and threw in an occassional song for entertainment. He invited me to sit on Bob Marley's bed while telling a story of a lady getting pregnant by Bob's ghost. I'm a scary indivual and not once did I feel threatened in this area. I even walked a bit to capture the wall art. While you're here you may as well visit May Pen Cemetary for the elaborate tombstones. The Tivoli Garden side (next to Tivoli High School) is open allowing you to enter and view up close.

A disgrace to Peter's memory, smaller than a medium size office. Welcomed by a grumpy man who told us not to take any photos. Good luck promoting this museum (not) to the world. There are some pictures and info panels, next to the gun and torturing devices used to beat Peter up. I guess the director of this place is a former Police officer. Such a great artist who inspired me for more than 40 years now deserves much better than this scam of a so called museum.

Small museum dedicated to an underrated legend. Happy to show our support.
The staff members are professional and knowledgeable! Sharlett is very pleasant and Ms Smith was very helpful in providing information.
We went there before going to Bob Marley museum. Definitely a good idea to understand where Bob comes from.
Objectively the tour wasn‘t worth the money. The tour guide seemed really high and basically just read the text printed on the pictures. But for us as big reggae fans it was a great experience.

I visited here on a Friday morning. The ticket which you buy next to the coffee shop costs $25USD and you can pay in either card or cash. The tour lasted about an hour and the guide provided excellent entertainment to give him credit. Our group merged with another group half way through which made it too crowded and that was annoying. There's no photos allowed inside either for whatever mad reasons.
At the end you have an option to visit a merchandise shop which is fairly expensive and you also have the option to smoke weed in the smoke lounge as well.
Aside from all that the facilities are excellent with a great coffee and fast, realible wifi available. Toilets were also clean.
My only reasons for four stars instead of a five is the staff serving the coffee were rather rude and the merging of two groups as I said above was fairly annoying.

When I first heard Bob Marley I was 17 years old. My boyfriend at the time placed a record on his record player, the album Uprising, and I immediately fell in love with the rhythm of Reggae and Robert Nesta Marley. His lyrics spoke to my heart, my mind, my soul. He infused his music with spirituality, love, humanitarianism, politics, freedom, the essence of life. I've listened to every album, I can sing every song from at least 8 of them. He is apart of my person as music becomes part of you. His legacy lives on in millions of people. I dreamt of coming here, that young 17 year old girl, a place where he wrote, sang, fell in love, built life long friendships, where he gave back to the community, played football, his roots. I honestly wasn't sure it was written in the stars for me but today I stood in this place where his energy and vibration still lives and thrives. I am so grateful I am who I am, that I live this life, and I have had the opportunity to be here and now, and influenced by greatness. 🇯🇲💕 "My richness is life forever" Robert Nesta Marley

It was such an educational and sureal experience being in the place the legend created some of the most iconic music of all time. Our tour guide Stanley was very knowledgeable. I loved every moment, and the closing movie was like a behind the music documentary. I highly recommend you visit when visiting Jamaica. ❤️
Place is pretty impressive. The tour guide was very informative, calm, throws a couple of tunes so most definitely money well spent to see how the legend lived.

Recording is not allowed inside the house so you have to go in and hear and see for yourself
This is one of the best short tours to experience , the grounds are beautiful and well maintained the tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable, unexpected surprise in a good way. It's a must-see.

The grounds are beautiful, the team does an amazing job of taking care of the property. The tour guides are really good with the details of the life of Bob Marley. It’s beautiful and heart breaking, one thing for sure is his legacy will live on. You have to check out the cafe the blended ice coffee will have you coming back.
This is in stony hill but the road to get there is quite a journey and really rocky. Once you get there, a lady greets you asking you to pay $500 to get in. She says it's a 10 minutes walk to the river but it's more than that😭Some part of the path is narrow, small and slippery so you have to be careful. Once you get there you are greeted with mosquitos lol, so carry your repellents. The river is cold and refreshing, but as you get closer to the waterfalls it gets deeper up to 8 feet.
Good to see where Bob came into his own to do "big man thing". Conditions were very basic. They have done a good job preserving the site lots of photos to see. Suggest one goes with a tour guide as the neighborhood is still rough.
Love, love, love this tour!! Great history there! I learned some things that didn't know about Bob Marley and the beginning of Reggae!
It was easy to find once off the main but road is best with 4 wheel drive or high vehicle. Condition of road bad. Then a 10 mins walk to the falls was quite a work out.. but once there it is amazing. Small pool of water, not much swimming can be done. High falls with a lil space to sit or stand under it. $500 to enter. Can take food n drinks or can cook ther..
No photos allowed in the actual yard/residence. Always ask to take pictures anyways don’t just assume, this is people’s home and life. Informative and authentic. There was a live performance being streamed when we went also.
Visited in June 2020:
Beautiful waterfalls tucked away in the Stony Hill. Nice quiet secluded spot for a relaxing day by the falls. About 5-10minutes hike from the primary school there is a trail with signs so you don’t get lost. Bring repellant!!

When I went I didn’t have to pay but thereafter some men started maintaining the hike trail so they charge $500JMD I believe as a donation.
But it’s really worth it.

Only 4 stars because mosquitoes were out in their numbers
A really nice waterfall in St Andrew. The road is really bad but not long and totally worth it. There's parking outside the primary school and if you take a left from there it's a 15 minute hike to the falls. If you take right, its a 15 minute hike to heritage dam.
The falls are gorgeous, however, if never seen so many mosquitoes in my life, I could swear they were biting under the water too. So definitely bring bug repellent and/ or set a fire to scare them away.

An amazing place with amazing memorabilia. A must-see for any reggae legend museum tourist. They have the original M16 guitar and Peter Tosh's unicycle on display. They have a wonderful documentary playing in the background and amazin memorabilia everywhere the eye can see. I wonder if I walk down memory lane. Do not miss this national treasure and attraction while you're in Kingston, Jamaica. BigUp! Yourself & BigUp! Jamaica!

Tour was interesting, I learnt more about Peter Tosh and his work. I was however did about not being able to take photos. Overall I'm happy that I experienced it and fans of Reggae music as well as those curious about the genre should go. His work was important and still relevant to this day and having a dedicated space to honor his legacy is important to the roots and culture of Jamaica.

The road going up to the trail entrance is very perilous and steep, but it's absolutely worth it. The hike itself is not difficult at all and a few members of our group in their mid 60s were able to complete it easily. Definitely makes me feel one with nature here, and if you can go during a time when it's not busy it's a treat.

A small museum, and a relatively short but informative tour. Our tour guide was super pleasant and knowledgeable. With so much emphasis often being placed on Bob Marley, it was good to hear the story of Peter Tosh, who was somewhat overshadowed by Bob. I definitely think every reggae lover should experience this museum.
This was beyond my expectations.. i was not aware we have such a natural water fall with sweet water in surrounded in the forest, just at 1 hour distance from Barbican. Its a 40 minutes drive from Barbican upto the School where you park and from that point its 20 minutes walk trail up in forest which leads directly to the Fall. Amazing one day activity... and to add to my review on my second trip i realized you can trail 5 minutes down through same parking site and you arrive at amazing and peaceful head of water reservoir ❤.. just see new clicks from my recent revisit
