It's a cute small museum that shares the history of Ladysmith, its events, timeline and who the place was even named after. There's a staff there who greets everyone visiting and offers a mini-tour before leaving us to explore ourselves. When we visited there was a mini part gallery upstairs on the second floor too!
There's also a small gift shop, and lots of interactive content amongst the displays and artifacts. We enjoyed a good 10-20 minutes of exploring and got some souvenirs.
Ladysmith museum is definitely a place to drop by if you're visiting the Ladysmith area. It's free admission, plus there's free street parking nearby too.

"The little museum that could". Where so many small community museums struggle with meager funds and minimal imagination, the Ladysmith Museum excells by putting every effort to display what they have in the most fascinating way possible. Not satisfied with static displays, they are constantly providing local interest talks and slide shows. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit.

The lady giving me my own personal tour was very knowledgeable and very happy to answer any questions i had for her. The exhibits were very nice too! Great old pictures and tons of great info!
Lots of stories about the town, knowledgeable volunteer there on Saturday afternoons who can really make you feel welcomed! Well organized and easy to walk through. Well worth a stop for a small town museum!
