Nice place to explore. Pathways are a bit on even in fall with all the leaves and loose rocks. But a nice hike in our area.

Recently came here to play some soccer. Very well-kept turf fields and they have really good fences to block the ball going into the woods, I would say the only problem is that there isn't really any bathroom's near the turf field but that's it.

Beautiful Park that's great for the whole family. Plenty of parking and there is a public bathroom as well. One point that I must express is Bensville Park looks well maintained at all times. The family and the dogs love it !
Favorite dog park. Friendly people. Mostly friendly dogs. Everyone cleans up after themselves and helps to fill common dog water bowls. Enclosed large space for small and large dogs.
The ground is always wet which is my only gripe. Otherwise this park is better than the others I've seen. The dogs are generally well behaved. There is some psycho hanging around hurting dogs under the guise of training them and his only argument is "I've been a trainer for 54 years!". If you get approached for dog training form an older guy, walk away!! There was a small reactive (re: fearful) dog and he wanted me to use my dog to get his client dog worked up, then he grabbed the dogs muzzle and hair, slammed it to the ground while the dog screamed in fear and pain. I told him to stop and he yelled about being a professional. I'm trying to find what training company he works for..
Been living next to the park for about 13 yrs now & have enjoyed everything about this park.

Love bringing my boys here. Ot a perfect size and I can see them wherever I'm standing. Plenty of swings (2 baby and 4 regular swings). There is also a zip line, 4 benches, and a cover picnic area with tables) a little away from the playground is a basketball court.

Good 2-3 hours hike depending on the trails. Some of them are easier than others. The noise from the Parkway does intrude from time to time, however...

Beautifully Serene, clean to frolic among the acceptable amount of play area for kids! Lots of benches to take pictures of your kiddos enjoying themselves. Well maintained rock climbing wall and surf board apparatus.

I went to visit this park as the site stated handicapped parking and accessibility. There is no handicapped parking or even a parking lot. You need to park across the street. Also there are either steps to get into the park or an incline, which on a rollator isn't to bad going up but coming down is a little dangerous. I definitely would not recommend this to anyone in a wheelchair, especially if their alone.
The park itself is clean and a great little playground for kids, benches for adults to sit on and nicely maintained walk paths.

We mainly come for the playground near the parking lot and pool. Not sure if there’s a seasons play area inside. It’s a nice, clean playground and well maintained. There’s tables/benches under trees. My only concern is that there’s little to no shade over the playground area.

This is a great park for family and children. There is a small basketball court, plenty of soccer fields, 1 huge Football field , baseball field and plenty of space for everyone to have fun. There are no grills for cooking here you just to bring yours . The kids kids love the newly added mini zip-line for kids.
Trevis Park transported me to a world of wonder. The playful melodies of a nearby fountain danced in harmony with the laughter of children. Lush greenery embraced me as I explored hidden nooks and crannies. The scent of blooming flowers mingled with the earthy aroma of the forest, creating an intoxicating blend. I basked in the golden sunlight, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. Trevis Park was a sanctuary where time stood still, leaving me refreshed and inspired.

Leading from the Saxon Woods Golf course through the Hutchinson Parkway into a big grounds along the river, this is one of the larger parks in the region. The trails go around and are easy to follow. It does accept dogs, and the entrance on the north side has swimming pools and other activities. The south side has more hiking trails and does get muddy when it rains. Take a peek at the exit to the golf course with some lovely scenery. The noise of the 'Hutch' is quite loud in winter time.

In my opinion, best Apple store in tri state area. Easy access (although parking is a problem) not too many crowds plus an eager and helpful staff. The Greenwich ambiance makes this a pleasant experience...plus there are great restaurants and shops just steps away!
Needs better ground coverage. I only bring Finn when he's due for a bath. Doesn't matter if the ground is dry or wet the entire fenced in area is dirt. Good sized fenced in dog park for the area.

Very nice park. Well kept, clean, trails are clearly marked. Enough parking space. The trails are easy, around 2.5mi. Trails stay free of ice in winter and do not have much elevation.

Nice, busy park with excellent climbing frames. The only draw back is green space around the kid's area has lots of broken glass. I recommend keeping smaller children on play gym for safety

Nice walking path around a huge open field with tennis and basketball courts. A playground for kids and some picnic tables to use. The only complaint is that it looks like there were two baseball diamonds that they let get overgrown and a small building that may have been public bathrooms at one point. There is a single portapotty though.
Awesome park that is simple but beautiful
Very nice area. open field and multiple sections for tennis, basketball, baseball and even a lil playground for kids. Also very private, more for residents.

Nice Greenery thru several streets in Downtown White Plains. We went to check out the Craft Fair they have every year but you do need to cross between streets as this "park" is divided for Traffic. Clean, police presence noted, and Benches to sit in the Sun or Shade and kept up by the City.

We love ❤ going to parks that are nice and peaceful. (and include free parking)

Note: the picnic area charges a $5 fee for parking.

One thing we noticed and appreciated was the fact that parents were very watchful of their children. This made us feel comfortable.

The swings were designed with every age range in mind. The floors had special material and padding. (we assume to brace a child's fall) Note: there are age ranges listed in the playground for specific areas.

The park and bathrooms 🚻 were clean. (female bathroom floor had a little water 💧 on them)

The park offers a little snack stand for those who may have the munchies.

This park includes an Olympic size pool, (for Westchester residents only) an 18-hole miniature golf course, ⛳ (open to the public) and a trail 👣 which is very popular with hikers, cross country skiers and horseback riders.

We'd recommend this park to our family & friends. Especially if you want to get away from overcrowded New York City parks.

The trails haven't been maintained at all. It hasnt rained in over a week yet the mud was so deep i couldnt even get onto the trail and had to turn back.
Fine spot for history buffs to take a breather. During the revolutionary war, Colonials held the high ground above the Bronx River, the British army forded the river and flanked Gen. Washingston's minutemen. The Americans retreated along the road to Connecticut thru White Plains over three days. Battle Park has plaques placed in the park recalling the order of battle, it is on the National Registry of Historic Places. The memorial cannon is below the hill on the entrance ramp to the Bx River Pkway.

Clean park with picnic tables and a lake for fishing and kayaking theres a boat launch (permit required for kayack) but no one is there to check at this time. I was here last week to film part of an independent movie in the higher trail . It has some steep parts and lots of stepping stones. There was also an organized group of park clean up kids and adults picking up trash and having a day of it. I liked the park!!
Great space for kids to interact with nature and each other! Amazing play space and play equipment for inquisitive and developing bodies! 👏

Liberty Park is one of the loveliest parked that’s tucked at the entrance to White Plains as you are leaving West Harrison. The park is situated around Silver Lake snd for some reason is not populated with visitors. There’s a small parking lot with lots of picnic tables.
No parking available M-F 10-11am. They heavily enforce this thinking they are chastising commuters running late for the train but in my case waiting for son at doctors office and wanted to sit on park bench to read a book! So $58 was a bit pricey for the history lesson from the few signs at the park. I shook the dust from my sandals vowing to never return or patronize the establishments in town. I suggest that the committee that supports the park (signs all over the place) put up signs to inform folks where to park during this hour!

It is a very nice park for all ages. very clean and safe... The pool area is excellent for children and adults, you pay 15 dollars for each person, but if you buy a pass for 95 dollars for three years you only pay 6 dollars each time you go, children under 5 years old enter free.. The best is you can bring your own cooler with a snack, alcoholic is not allowed. you can bring a chair if you wish and a blanket to sit on the grass.. it sells fried potatoes and ice cream

There is a bigger playground for older kids and a smaller playground for the younger kids. There is also a zipline now, which is pretty cool and all my kids love it!😄🥰❤⚾️👬

Totally enjoyed the trails through the woods and along the lake. Some fallen trees over the path that look cool but probably should be removed safety wise.
Love the large, open space and woodsy background of this dog park. Wood chips for the pups, shade and seating for the humans.. There's a doggy water fountain that's open most seasons, and an on-leash walling trail that goes behind the park itself.

Good park. There are multiple trails through the heights above the lake and you can find the old foundations and stone walls from centuries ago. The trails are not well marked so remember your route in so you don’t get lost. Beautiful, large healthy trees that have stood the tests of time are all over. Beech, locust, oaks & pines to name a few. There is a picnic area at the end of the main road that has a decent view of the lake with picnic tables.
Its quiet
I learned so much history at this charming little Park, beautifully preserved.I was never aware that there was a major revolutionary War battle here live by George Washington. I would love to go back

Lovely. Hope people don't ruin it
If you're a Grainger fan (i.e. band director, pianist, composer, etc.), you'll enjoy the visit to the home where he and his wife, Elsa, lived the last few decades of their lives. The home, and its contents are as eccentric as it's celebrated but quirky resident. You'll see some of Grainger's photos sitting about - many of famous contemporaries, stacks of his music, rooms where he played and wrote music, and much more. Our tour guide, Mark Grant, was awesome. He's a composer and music author himself so he was able to provide both musical and historical insight. Highly recommended!

The park is convenient and quiet and as far as i know safe
A must park for all dog owners to visit. For new dog owners: the sooner you integrate your dog with others the sooner they'll learn to be social. Keep walking the trail for about 10 minutes and you'll find a magical stream
It's a center divider, not a park. It's surrounded by eight lanes for cars, double its width. Only pedestrian hostile White Plains would call that a park.

There is a "truck day" here every year. If you have younger kids (I'd say under 10) this is an awesome thing to do. They get to ride in the garbage truck, get into excavators, firetrucks (and actually put out the fake fire with the real hose), honk the horns, etc. Huge hit with my boys, 3 and 5 yo.
I was initially confused as I had seen the pictures of dogs in the stream but the actual dog run area has no access to the streams. A local then pointed out the access to the streams are outside the park a few hundred yards down the trail. Totally worth exploring it, but the stream area is not fenced in and my dog is not the best at recall - I was a bit worried. Next time I'll bring a long leash.
A beautiful place to take a break

What a gem. Seriously, one of the nicest Druss Park has to offer. Walk the steps to the top of the dam or head via the hill that runs adjacent to the dam. The loop at the base can get crowded during peak times but nothing out of control.

There's a beautiful art sculpture that's a 9/11 memorial...one of the nicest I've ever seen. Beautiful place to reflect.

If you have a family and need space to run, bike, throw and explore...this is it. Druss Park! Beautiful park.

The real draw here is the dam and its a DAM good reason to come here (pun intended). Its a fantastic walk around and across the dam. The structure and architecture is amazing and the view of the reservoir is really serene and beautiful.

Other than the dam, what I really enjoy are the biking, running, walking paths and trails that lead to the dam. You can take the Bronx expressway trail from way south and end up at the dam and its a great incentive.

There's a huge green space for all sorts of activities and a nice kiddie park for the children. Really, its nothing spectacular but its nice. The town of Vahalla is very quaint and cute and has some nice eateries nearby worth checking out.

There's also neat festivals that go down here and the July 3rd (not 4th) fireworks are always fun to see.

Overall, a great place to visit and the marvel over this beautiful construction.

This is a fantastic park in White Plains in the Gedney section of the neighborhood. It has beautiful fields, baseball parks, clay tennis courts, children's area and plenty of parking. If you are a resident of White Plains, I highly recommend getting a permit to use these facilities. There is also a couple of nice restaurants across the street on Gedney Way.
If you have the opportunity to enjoy this park as a resident or guest, I highly encourage time spent here with the family. Have fun. Just contact the White Plains Department of Parks Recreation. Find out information on line too.
I only found out that Grainger's house was here 3 days before I came to visit a friend in White Plains. The secretary of the Grainger society gave me a personal tour and - amazingly - invited me to play the piano! I enjoyed the visit, despite the cold (they leave the heat off in winter). I hope to be back some day, better prepared and in warmer weather!

-Ample parking.
-Covered seating area
-Several baseball fields
-Great playset for older and younger kids
-Decent bathroom facilities
-Walking distance to the Indian Head Railroad.
Nice park to take the kids, swings, slide and benches for the adults. Clean with trees providing shade.
I love the story and the significance of that hill. Right across the street is a beautiful mansion.

Lots of park benches to sit down and have lunch or play chess. Next door is a kids park. Lots of wayside signs to read about the battle with the British, General George Washington and his Army
