Beautiful beach. Great park for little kids. Mine just started walking and it was perfect for him.
Always a beautiful beach to take a nice walk along the board walk or to bring the kids to the park. I've been going here since I was little and the new expansions are a blast for the kids.

If you are at the beach at sunrise, the tree makes a good photo with the light behind it. Not worth a special trip, but worth it if you are already there 😊
It's one of the islands best beaches. Lots of parking. Plenty of trails to walk. Miles and miles of open beach when the tide is out.
We had a blast! It was my (adult) birthday and me and some friends did the 3-races option! It's lots of fun, and the carts go pretty fast :) 3 races felt like enough for us - ends up being just under an hour of time between the racing, breaks and getting set up etc. If you've never done it before, it takes bit of getting used to but is super simple. The carts are gas powered and the track is uncovered outdoors - which is info I think they have on their site, but just in case.

We had arrived a little early and they were able to get us started before our initial start time, which was kind of them. We also got to race against other people which was also fun (added challenge).
All in all great experience!
The Best go karting experience I've ever had! Was on the island for 2 months for work, and came here every chance I got! Staff are amazing people with kind hearts, they will help you with whatever you need, even gave me some tips on corners I could improve on. Shout out to Kyle! Really quick karts and a technical track makes for a great races, competitive or just cruising you'll have a blast. Can't wait to come back to try and beat my record!
We loved the playground. It was so versatile. So many things to discover for the little ones. And the city keeps working on it and adding new sites. Water plays for the summer, and flush toilets that are clean and work fine. Drinking Water is also available. Loved it.
The park is simply amazing. The park is well equipped with a huge parking lot, picnic tables and a huge play area that is a short walk away from the beach. It is a very well maintained park
The beach is just 2mins away from the park. You can walk on the boardwalk or simply enjoy the scene and the breeze by sitting in on one of the benches. I saw a couple of food trucks around. The beach is pet friendly. So you can definitely take your pet for a walk here.
Excellent mini golf spot for an after dinner activity as it is open until 11pm. There are 2 different courses. They are well lit and well kept.
Great for swimming, day picnic! Watershoes might be helpful, as there are rocks on the shore; however, once inside water, the sand is actually very soft & walkable with bear feet! Great spot for sunset!
Amazing experience. I totally recommend going in group, you will enjoy more the experience.

In all my years traveling and viewing trees that bear resemblance to animals, this tree looks vastly more horse-like than any tree ever looked like another animal. 10/10 easy recommend to all my equestrian-inclined friends

Great place to take the kids for the. The playground was huge and plenty of things for the kids to play around including water fountains. Picnik benches all over the place. The sand was good and the beach was walking distance. It was packed on a late August day. A few food trucks on the side for mini doughnuts and sandwiches make it very convenient.
All in all coming here is a great family activity. We went though and completed two rounds of mini golf, hit up the arcade in between to catch a break from the sun and grabbed a snack on the way out.

2 x adults, 1 x 12yrs, 1 x 10yrs. Arrived at 11:00 am and left around 3:00 pm.

Mini Golf - Pretty self Explanatory. The counter attendants provided clubs appropriate for the height of each player. The courses offered a variety of angled shots and challenges. We all enjoyed it. Shade was harder to find on the first 18 hole course, so I'd suggest doing that one first and taking a break.

Arcade - some machines were out of service, quite a few were in service. Playing the games yielded the kids a lot of tickets. The arcade facilitators were patient with our kids winning.

The whole experience was pretty great.
Positive experience and taste of milk remembered my childhood, where I grew up in a small village.
Mini Golf and Bumper Boats is so fun! Mini golf does get pretty busy during the peak times, but it goes by pretty fast! Bumper boats are great and you get to stay out pretty long - you will leave soaked!!! So much fun!!
We came here for the first time and had a blast. The course was perfect for families.

There were a lot of people here on Friday night, and yet, it didn't feel uncomfortably crowded. We were able to play at our leisure, and none of the stations felt repetitive. We also appreciated the motions and lights at some of the stations.

We had a blast and look forward to returning for another fun time!

Absolutely had so much fun. The staff were helpful and our larger group had SO MUCH FUN. I can't stress enough how much of a good time we had.
It is a great place to walk and get exercise. At low tide, you can walk out about a kilometer to the water. We've been here a few times now and love the views and the various starfish and shells along the beach. Our most recent trip brought us here to see the biolumencence in the water on a moonless night. It didn't turn out that well, but I believe we were in a bad spot with lights from the surrounding area encroaching our night view. Still had fun and enjoyed our night out...
It was alot of fun for any age, the beach is right there, the park has things to play on, even a mini water park to cool off

Great place for events ie sandcastle sculpture, car shows , tennis games

Walk along the boardwalk

Close to downtown if things are needed

Great all year round the only thing that's difficult is parking as it's limited and on events it's lacking

The photos I added aren't even close to the amount of park equipment that's there

Certain times of the year there are also food trucks at the park
I've been here quite a few times over the years. I love it so much. Two mini putt courses for the price of one! It's adorable and super well maintained.

absolute great fun! had a blast! staff are efficient and understanding when I kept spinning our! 10/10
We have been staying here almost yearly for the past 20 years. Great campground, especially for young families. The trek to the beach can be a bit much so make sure you ha w a wagon!

Showers and bathroom facilities are great. Some of the showers have very low water pressure and all lose a lot of pressure every time someone flushes a toilet, which can be almost constant depending on the time of day.

Overall, great place to camp if you're lucky enough to book a site!

It was great! Cute for all kids. A nice playground to go to in Parksville that isn't super busy.
Paradise Lost. Haven't visited in a couple years, but the new owners have clearly let this place go down hill. This used to be THE place of my childhood. Would go every year. But now it's definitely sad and run down.

The course itself was maintained fine, but the arcade is where games go to die. More machines were out of service than were actually working. To get tokens we had to go back out to the front desk, wait in line again (behind a family complaining that nobody was monitoring the group of teenagers loitering on one of the holes), and then wait as the lady counted out the coins one by one.

Prizes... well, we had to wait 10 minutes until the lady came back from her break. And what did we have to choose from? Fruit roll ups..?! Come on.

But hey, I guess buckets of what I think are chlorine are freely available for kids to play with.

Did I mention 1 round of golf for 2 adults and a 3 year old came to $49. Get real!

Two thumbs up! I had a great time Fast time Amusements. Fast kart, great people, a great track with competitive racers I would say, safety first and above all. Definitely will come back!
Great place but be sure to pre book a race time. It's a popular place. Lots of fun had by the whole family
I'm standing in the ocean as I write this. Crystal clear water! Amazing beach! Amazing campground! Campground is right on the ocean. No power, water or sewer in campsites but who cares! Stay here, you won't be disappointed!
Lovely well attended park. The sand castle competition was the highlight. There was a wide variety of vendors which included some food options.
An immaculately kept fantastically fun mini golf course, well actually two courses! It's a tradition of ours to always find a mini golf when on holiday and this is possibly the best we've been on. Clean, challenging, good equipment. Couldn't fault it. More than happy to recommend.
Love parksville for the whole family. Good facilities and a large park for kids. U can bring a kite to fly in the green space or just hang at the beach. Food trucks are there along with live entertainment. We were lucky enough to see the sand sculptures and go for a quick swim!
Amazing beach! It's absolutely huge with plenty of room for laying on the beach, grass, or by the playground. The playground is massive so if you have kids they will for sure have a great time. And the beach is dog friendly so bring your pooch with you! Going to the sand sculpting competition was a blast! Great beach made even better by the weather!
This is a great course, two courses actually. Recommend doing the two course package, the second course 'treasure island's themed is harder but also can be completed faster. The water attractions mostly were functional, the whole park had a fantastical and fun vibe. Friendly staff.
Gorgeous beach! Went at low-tide. Don't bother looking for sand dollars (we saw none, dead or alive) to mark off on any scavenger hunts you may be doing. Lots of cool little shells and snails and crabs to look at though. Never really ran into a single person except on trails leading to and from the beach. Perfect spot for sand castles!

My younger son insisted that we go to the farm today and, we enjoyed exploring the farm. The people there were friendly and we enjoyed the milk and the drinks there.

This was spectacular. Very much a tree that looks like a horse. 10/10 would look at horse tree again.
Some imagination went into the design of the two courses - nice landscaping, interesting layout and some challenging holes. Artificial turf is a little slow so hit the ball a little harder than you think.

Cute scavenger hunt for kids, learned about their farm automation, saw baby cows and all stages, rabbits and goats then used milk dispenser, tried a variety of cheeses and I’ve cream was really good
Very enjoyable and peaceful. We saw our first weasel in the wild which was cool. Especially since we live on the island. Lots of wildlife. And the new ant population in the park is intense. We thought the ants might be a problem. But they left us alone. Just be careful wondering around right now. The ant hills are all over the place and they will swarm if you aggravate them.
Best mini golf course I’ve played! Lots of trees so nice patches of sun and shade, fun obstacles including bright blue water😍 Also ice cream & mini donuts! 10/10
Wonderful place for offering Qigong through RDN Recreation. Lovely trees and grass around the pavilion
Such a gorgeous beach! The water gets deeper very gradually so it's great for families with little kids. Lots of sea life to explore and a good mix of rock and sand beach.
Beautiful beach! I love how you can wade in the water for a long time, doesn't get deep for awhile. Perfect for kids or those who like to gradually get wet, like me 😜
The water is warm and clean! There's places to have a picnic, kids to play, and just lay out in the sun. Fun in the sun for all!
Great courses, well maintained, and the environmental props (not sure what you call them) look like they're straight out of Disneyland. Tons of fun, and a great way to spend a couple of hours!

Our family of four played both courses, and each took around 50 minutes to play. And on a hot day, the ice cream shop was a welcome reward after the games.

Our second game finished just at closing time, and we didn't have the place to ourselves, but it was pretty close - even on a long weekend!
After a visit to Parksville we stopped at this mini golf. What a pleasant surprise to find out mothers were free on mothers day!!! Thank you so much
Also, the "greens" were in perfect condition and the beautiful surrounds were so relaxing! A lot of thought went into building this little je!

I'm quite biased about this park because I live just down the street!
I've also donated to the "Friends of Foster Park" fund to plant new trees and done some sessions of ridding the site of invasive plant species, also led by the same group.
Green spaces are so important and this neighbourhood park is extremely well utilized.
Upgrades include a covered picnic table, upgraded playground and new fencing.
Many groups gather for exercise and parties.
There are also a few trails where people can stroll with or without a dog on leash.
A resident caretaker lives in the house in the park and ensures that the lovely environment is maintained.
Seasonal upkeep is provided by the City of Parksville, which includes grass cutting, watering, washroom cleaning and ensuring equipment is safe.
Foster Park is a special place to spend a few hours with family and friends!

One of our absolute favourite parks to explore with a preschooler and toddler. The sponge ground makes it easy and safe for my toddler to play, and the equipment is entertaining for my preschooler. There’s a meadow, gazebo, picnic tables, public washroom, and trails right next to it! Hidden gem!
We regularly come here for staff team-building events, and we have never been disappointed! We love the fact that it is nicely treed and offers shade on sunny days! Staff is very friendly and keeps things very clean. The courses are both beautiful and the bumper cars are always a hit!

Disregard the negative comments. This is a generational dairy farm that has opened it's doors for a self run visit. Watching the automated cow milking was fascinating and we had to physically removed our daughters from the calf nursery. Awesome to see these family run businesses. You can buy products on your way out. A highly recommended way to spend an hour.
Great mini golf courses that are really nicely decorated with fun details that are well polished. The nature themes are appropriate for the area, complete with a tunnel through a mountain, a water fall, rocky outcroppings and other sculptures details. The courses themselves can be pretty tricky but fun for young kids and even well-seasoned golfers, alike. Clean, well maintained, professional looking and well put together. Bumper car area looked a little limited in size, so we didn't opt in for that reason. The arcade consisted mostly of prize/skill/crane games, a pinball (Lethal Weapon), a few arcade games, etc. All in all, this place was great for mini golf!

This is one of the best outdoor mini golf I’ve ever tried! I admire the architecture of the place and its unique kids-friendly design. Wonderful place for both kids and adults! It is great fun family activity.

The courses are joyful and very creative, each one is different and has its own challenge (Not repetitive) ;) definitely recommend it and should give it try and enjoy this beautiful experience.

We held our wedding ceremony here in summer 2019, and it was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning! The owners and staff were friendly, helpful, patient when answering questions, and helped make our ceremony run perfectly smoothly. Holding the ceremony on the farm was great for kids too, as the dairy farm is a great place to wander and see the animals up close. 🐮

Good children's playground with swings, slides, climbing and rubber flooring that's soft. Lots of benches, picnic tables and bathrooms with water fountain. Lots parking and small forest walk near by. Large grass area. Only complaint is with the gazebo which is littered with bottle caps and cigarettes butts could use a good cleaning.

We went to Morningstar Farm in Parksville, BC. A great visit. FREE admission. A very modern dairy farm operation with very happy cows!

It's a great place to take kids. Gift shop sells farm themed toys and a selection of cheese and meats.

Some very funny signs!

Accessible except for toilets. Disabled parking right at the farm.
