Very beautiful museum! Fresco are incredible, as well as a big room with cardinals (I guess) frescoes. The newest is dated 2012.
What a nice museum for such a good price!
Besuch der Fresken von Tiepolo, sehr beeindruckend, gut beschrieben, wobei das Fresko "Fall der rebellischen Engel" nicht so leicht zu finden war. Ticket Erwachsene EUR 8,--.
Sehr interessantes Museum mit einigen Werken von Künstler Tiepolo. Wunderschöne Bibliothek.
Die Infotafeln sind leider nur auf italienisch aber Dank Internet Übersetzung ist es möglich zu verstehen.
Der Eintritt kostet 8€. Der Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Very interesting Museum
Worth visiting if you have time and you are spending more than one day in Udine.
Sehr eindrucksvolle Ausstellung unter anderem Werke von Tiepolo.
Toller Einblick in die Vergangenheit dieses Landstrich's. 👍👍
Molto, molto e ripeto molto carino. Prima di partire, avevo poco tempo e sono entrata ore chiedere informazioni. Prima di tutto il personale mi ha accolto con gentilezza e simpatia e alla fine mi hanno dato anche alcuni preziosi consigli. Grazie!
Il museo si sviluppa su tre piani e si possono vedere elementi di vita quotidiana: dagli attrezzi di lavoro nei campi o di falegnameria, agli utensili per la cucina, l'abbigliamento, l'arredamento, i giochi per bambini, gli orologi e gli strumenti musicali. Al terzo piano c'è una mostra sulla scuola. Era presente il curatore, gentilissimo, che mi ha detto di aver donato tutto quanto esposto nella mostra e che ormai è una mostra permanente.
Il prezzo del biglietto è accessibile e sono previste anche delle riduzioni.
Tempo minimo di visita 1 ora, di più se ci si sofferma ad osservare con attenzione.
Se interessa la storia della vita quotidiana è consigliatissimo!

Molto bello in centro alla città con posizione sopraelevata, è all'interno del castello anche se il castello originario non restano che le fondamenta. Visitato con il biglietto da 15 euro che da accesso a 4 musei.
Oltre all'esposizione archeologica, si può visitare la mostra intitolata al giovane Napoleone un pezzo di storia davvero interessante. 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
They do not take card as payment - in 2022 this should not be an issue. Very disappointing, especially for a Museum.

Very nice museum, consists of 4 parts (archeology, Risorgimento, art gallery, and photography).
Plan at least to spend one hour.
English information is partly available, but I recommend to use Google lens to translate the Italian signs.

Un tuffo nel passato del nostro bel Friuli.
Storia, cultura, tradizioni, frammenti di vita di un popolo abituato a sacrifici sono messi in esposizione con cura e allestimento perfetto.
Molto bella la sala dedicata al "Fogolâr" simbolo di unità che rappresenta la famiglia e i suoi valori...
Tutto questo è impreziosito dalla location dello storico Palazzo Giacomelli in Borgo Grazzano.
Se siete in giro per Udine...andateci !!!

The Civic museums are great. I was so looking forward to learning all about the Unification of Italy. They have so many explanation plaques telling everything you need to know about it. BUY NOT ONE OF THEM IS IN ENGLISH. Disgraceful.
This museum is so far the most beautiful place in Udine. The rich history of Friuli region is presented in the museum and it is worth visiting for sure.

Für Tiepolo-Freunde ein absolutes Muß! Man kommt den Fresken ganz nah, kann dadurch wunderbar die Malerei bewundern.
Der Rest ist hingegen verzichtbar.

Not the classic Italian museum but a relatively small exposition.
The highlight has been the biblioteca Delfino, really impressive both for the charming architecture and the books hosted there.
The Tiepolo frescos are marvellous, despite not being particularly passionate of XVIII century paintings myself.

Il museo è molto interattivo ed è ben organizzato soprattutto per i non vedenti. Mi ha deluso per la quantità di opere e manufatti conservati, non c'è molto però quello che c'è viene sfruttato molto bene
Mostra temporanea sulla 1a guerra mondiale molto interessante con varie documentazioni.
Il resto della mostra permanente lascia un po’ a desiderare ma immagino sia un buon luogo di informazione per le scuole sulla cultura friulana di un tempo. Ben organizzata e a prezzo ridotto si paga 2.50€.

Auf 3 Etagen hat man die Gelegenheit das Leben früher sich anschauen zu lassen. Möbel, Handwerkzeuge, tägliche Gebrauchsgegenstände und Arbeitswerkzeuge werden ausgestellt. Am ersten Sonntag im Monat kostenlos Eintritt! Erklärungen leider nur auf italienisch. Trotzdem auch für nicht Italiener durchaus sehenswert
