This place was absolutely beautiful relaxing not too busy. Great way to cool off escape the valley.
Dogs kids families can enjoy the day here swimming, plenty of shade to avoid the sun

Simple, but excellent trail. Be sure to bring a map so you take the path up to the arch. It can be difficult to find without knowing where to look.
Fay Canyon is an easy hike, but the optional trail up to the arch makes it moderate. It’s a fairly rugged climb that will require some scrambling, but not overly challenging. The views from the arch are great!

We went here since Slide Rock was too packed and it was nice here. Everyone sort of gathered near the entry to the creek, so the vortex area was really peaceful with a nice view of Cathedral Rocks from afar. You can find many trails from here when walking past the creek.

Absolutely great staff. The creek was so soothing.
Sadly, extremely limited parking on the weekend. They do have a shuttle/Uber lady who will drive you to and from closest alternate free parking. The just $3 to enter. If you’re meeting people set a spot to meet before going to the creek. Phone signal is also limited.

Beautiful park! Such a fun place to take kids to swim in the creek. Parking is $12 and is limited. Parking gets full on busy days like Saturday mornings. Parking was full on Saturday in July by 10:30am. You can park in the neighborhood leading into the park but that is limited as well and a far walk depending where you park.

Keep in mind people...when you go to these kinds of places and want to spend time with your family. Please just understand, when a family goes out of their way to stay away from large crowds, chooses their own spot and you stumble across a family having fun in their own spot... simply just go and find yourself another spot, tons of area and places to play. Overall great day other than weird guys coming to be around a family having fun, and even more so, some unpleasant families trying to make their ways into your space.

Really pleasant trail. Devils kitchen and seven sacred pools were great scenic spots, but the journey itself was the best. ☻

Short easy hike with an amazing view at the end. If you climb up the rocks at the end, you can see Bell Rock, courthouse rock, and cathedral rock. See photos

Great spot to hike. Beautiful views. Did some scrambling which elevated the hiking experience up to submarine rock!

Be aware guys parking spots are small so come early!!!employees not the best customer service👎🏽, do not unload on the turn around!! Reservations are for “big groups”. Parking is a mile out, residents will “call cops” as the employees stated lol . Dirty bathrooms , no handwash station only sanitizer outside . Place is beautiful though so I hope this helps 😂

Loved this trail. But be aware you will need to take a shuttle. Just know where and when it’s coming.
As far as the trail, it was wonderful. Highlights were the sinkhole, 7 sacred pools and the caves. The caves require some scrambling but very cool inside.
If I did it again I’d probably turn around after the caves as the end of the soldier trail is nothing special.

Easy flat out-and-back trail. Vaulted bathrooms in large gravel parking lot. Trailhead across the street from parking entrance. Meanders alongside a dry creek bed and ends at the back of a wide canyon. Vegetation is higher, so views are minimal unless you climb a bit at the end of the trail (which I did and included those pics). Popular Devil's Bridge Trail is nearby as well, so this is a good pairing. 3 stars is because of the lack of trail views and interesting features for the area. I have read there are a couple of trail spurs off the end that add to the interest, but I did not pursue them - they were not easily recognized.

Get there early, parking is limited. Don’t forget your anti-slip shoes because the red rock is slippery in some areas. Great out door fun, very peaceful and relaxing.

Every beautiful park, my family enjoyed coming here.
I do wish they had a shower stall to rinse off.
But over it was a beautiful experience. Highly recommend

Beautiful and easy hike thru the canyon. The trial is rocky at a couple of points but nothing too difficult. Some what warm starting out until you get further back where the tree cover is.

Supreme spot for a superb sunset.

Great moderate hike, lots of pretty views, mostly flat, with some parts that are much steeper! I did this hike solo and felt very safe. I would recommend bringing extra sunscreen and making sure to apply to your shoulders, you will be in the sun more than you think! Also make sure to bring lots of water and expect to sweat a bunch! I had two snacks on this trail and close to 1.5 liters of water. I did the Soldiers Pass to Brins Mesa loop, which did add sun exposure, difficulty, and length! Highly recommend this hike, great for all abilities, as long as you listen to your body, take it slow, and come prepared!

Easy steady incline to the End of Trail sign - scenic and easy! Also there is an arch you should hike up to!

We went in mid-may to check out this trail. Gratefully underpopulated. Late afternoon sun going into a mild evening. Shaded Trail winding along a creek bed. Possible to walk two by two. Sandy Red Soils from the Rocks above. Beautiful high-sided Canyon wall views. Ends in a stairlike climb to the back of the canyon. Climbing the rocks is the best part as is the view out the front of the canyon. Sunset delightfully lights the staircase. Would go again just to climb the rocks.

This is a highly underrated trail. It is a nice cool trail in the canyon with lots of shaded opportunity. There was little elevation until the end of the trail where you could scramble up the rock. We truly enjoyed this hike and love that it is dog friendly!

I really loved this rock formation because it seemed like a giant slab of mud and it really looks like a submarine! Would recommend hiking to here, out to chicken point, and back using High on the Hog.

Absolutely breathtaking. It's a hike in and back out not a loop. But the real Gem of the entire hike is if you go up to the arch halfway into the trail. There's a trail on your right hand side should be on most trail maps or apps. Highly recommend it, you will need ankle high hiking boots, unless you want to sprained ankle with some tennis shoes. You have to try this hike!

We had the extra 1.5 miles walk to and from the shuttle parking lot since it runs only every 50 minutes making our total hike about 6 miles. It was pretty easy the whole way until the top. Definitely got steep and slippery, but manageable for someone with decent balance.
The heat also makes it a little more difficult. It is not very shaded, so plan accordingly and bring LOTS of water.
The view was gorgeous and the cave was super cool! The lighting was so beautiful

We got here on a jeep ride, the pink one. Broken arrow jeep tour. Amazing views.

Excellent location to hike. The soldiers Pass caves are just under 2 miles there and the same back but we saw several families with young kids so good for all ages. Very well worth the time to go there.

Getting to submarine rock can be a destination in itself or part of a loop to chicken point from Morgan road. If you want to make this a loop you need to walk on the jeep road which can be busy with vehicles. The rock itself is huge and if you go to the highest point on the north side it has one of the best panoramic views anywhere in Sedona. This can be a busy place due to the bikers and walkers and pink jeep riders but if you catch it at a quiet time it is all the more lovely.

Great park! I have littles ages 10 months-4.5 years old and each of them had a great time. Plus the view was just beautiful! We missed out on the season where the splash pad is operating but that looks fun as well. My only complaint would be parking. There are not that many spots or it was very busy the day I went. I’m from out of town so I’m not sure if that’s a regular thing.

Can get crowded but there are many private spots on fine sand right on the river. The vortex is really the entire area IMHO. Not one spot. The creek is crossable most of the year--so you CAN hike around Cathedral rock from that side. An Oasis in the desert--always my favorite places in these arid regions.

Great hike on a relatively easy trail. The climb at the end is definitely worth it!

Park by the school because the trailhead parking is closed down, one mile walk from there. Amazing trail, plenty of views to the cave. Make sure to take a picture of a map, it forks to the trail leading to the cave and a trailer going around the back where you won’t be able to reach it. 95% of the trail is an easy hike, saw an older lady with a cast/brace on her right foot and she made it to the cave but didn’t go up to the second level. Once you get up in the cave it’s really cool. If busy I would wait for people to come down because it can get crowded and hard to more freely around. There’s also a small side trail to the right of the cave along the rock wall that gives some nice views and no crowds. Take the off road vehicle road on the way back for an easier walk back.

I loved this trail! I parked at the park and instead of waiting for the shuttle I started my hike right there. I used the shuttle for my ride back.
There are so many beautiful views! I recommend starting at sunrise. It get crowded and if you want time in the cave you need to get there early.

We hiked out here on Christmas Day with the intention of experiencing the wilderness without all the jeep noise! And it was gorgeous and mostly quiet. However, there were a few private jeeps out on the trail - but it was still amazing and mostly quiet. It’s not a long hike but very beautiful and worth it.

Good hour and a half going up, beautiful views, make sure you bring water 😉

Loved the view. Two trails, one less difficult than the other. Gets really crowded.

Such an amazing view. Great to be next to nature and see something so serene, peaceful, and amazing. Especially at sunset.

This park was ok. Not wonderful but a decent play ground... or so you'd think. They however have that plastic ground that's super cancerous and banned in Europe so I would never bring my child here. I came to ground and the grass is hard, dry, and brown. I know it's winter in the desert. But I've also found other parks nearby with green grass. So all in all. It will do in a pinch if I need to ground and am in a rush, and can get over rock hard pokey grass stabbing me.

This is my go-to spot for a quick, easy hike that is relatively quiet and solitary.

Beautiful trail, easy to moderate level, there is Devil’s Kitchen sink hole and Seven Sacred Pools scenic spots along the way. The trail head has only 14 parking spots and no restroom, I tried it twice to finally get a spot late in the afternoon, that’s my only complaint, otherwise a scenic and enjoyable hike!

The hikes involving the vortexes are always great, easily one of my favorite winter hike. Do your self a favor and get an all day parking pass if you're going on multiple hikes.

We visited here as part of our Pink Jeep Tour. It was great vantage point. 360 degree view. beautiful

Great location. Not a long or hard hike. I will be back

Signs everywhere say do not camp or make campfires. I'm boondocking here anyway. But still annoying to be led to a campsite that seems to not be for overnight use.
Yes, The road down is pretty rocky but it's not impossible in a standard sedan. Cute lil stream nearby too.

Beautiful views for a Wedding.
When we were there it was very windy. There trail is not for the old and unfit but we made it down and up again, thank goodness lol.

There is definitely something about this place that deserves some scientific explanation. These old volcanic locations all over the world have something about them. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Amazing views! Easy hike!!!

It was my first time on this trail last week. There are a few different trails in this area, but I randomly chose this one. It was a great choice. Very scenic, and quiet (low foot traffic during a weekday). It's an easy trail that has some moderate inclines the further you hike, but nothing that I would consider difficult. If you do the full trail loop its about 4 hours/8 miles i believe. You will see (sometimes only hear) the occasional Pink jeep tours (and other off road vehicles) driving past near part of the trail as Schnebly Hill road runs next to it (and a couple of trail sections cross over that road). But I didn't find any of that taking away from the experience. Overall it was a great mostly secluded hike. If you have a dog, I had my dog with me and she took to the trail very well.

And yet NOONE still gets why it is natives that have never deviated from saying we are connected to these lands, &are the protective measure put in place for a reason! We have our structures inaccessible that were covered up not by us. You all just know them as being called Ancient Burial Mounds that you think just has the buried remains of our ancestors-which isn't a stretch. After all the mound builders(black Africans&yes, whites) needed somewhere to hide the bodies that's evidence.Where Do you think they put them. We were targeted, and kept a small few because those outsiders who were mistaken to ba Gods, aren't.they do however wantmy kinds powers that thus far they have yet to obtain. Why do you think that CERN is trying to create "The God Particle",after finding that they couldn't inherit take control nor be gifted the things my few can!!?? And they are also known as planet destroyers which looking around with the planets reactions-totally is of course signs you ppl are of course ascending!! Because the reality for failing to fulfill your own acts and that not rightedvthat is even owed in no way is the reality. My grandchildren love to visit this park. There are two covered play areas with fixed play equipment and both have foam rubber ground cover to protect from a fall injury. One area has small play items for preschool age. The second area has more challenging play items for school age children. The park also has a water play concrete area with various water sprays in the summer. Lastly there are tennis courts and open grassy areas and a few picnic tables.

Very nice community part. Tennis courts, picnic tables, restrooms, and a kids splash pad. I wish I brought my tennis stuff, tennis with a view! They also have some charging stations as well.

Only locals knew about this place when I was a kid and growing up. Kinda mad at all the tourists who know now...but just decided to embrace it. Beauty is meant to be shared.

We had family in town with a two year old. He and his parents LOVED this park, especially the 5 or so water features. Lots of screams and running in and out of the water park. Very fun to watch for a great Aunt!!! Time we'll spent and beautifully maintained park.
Go with family or friends and enjoy!!🥰

Free and easy to get too. Not very much parking if you're in sedan the road gets too rough

Great, short hike with those great Sedona views!

A great area to explore all of the camping and amazing hiking trails! Make sure to bring plenty of water in the summer and bring rain gear in the winter in case of flash flooding. I cannot wait to go back!

You can reach this spot by taking the Pink Jeep broken arrow tour or have your own ATV. The spot has an amazing view of the surrounding area . 360 view of the sedona rocks . Also it is so quite and peaceful.

It’s a wonderful place to visit because you don’t have to go further on the trails which I never want to. I just stayed by the water and it was tranquil and very convenient and very nice people and tourist. Need to pick up after themselves the trash and don’t expect other people to do it leave nature the way you found it there are animals that have to live there respect that.

A wonderful short hike 1/2 mile to fabulous swimming ,dipping holes on Oak creek. Well worth the exploration . Start at Red Rock State Park, have Fun and see and fell Nature in Harmony .

Very beautiful with powerful healing energy. Easy access. Great place to take the kids. A few streams merge together at this point, there's shallow areas with a deep pool. 👌🏼Great view of Cathedral Rock.

Great loop trail by combining cowtrail and munds wagon. Some parts are a bit harder to find the trail, but alltrails/ outdoors app can help to stay on the trail.
It was very warm, so bring plenty of water and try to plan for early morning or evening.

It's nice all over this area, also there is a vortex and hiking area......very nice make sure you're safe and have everything you need 😀

A little tough to find, limited parking, the road is unsuitable to cars that ride lower, and it's a pretty steep slope to get down to the river. That said, a great place to cool off and splash around. The water is cold and crystal clear. We were the last to leave, and it was quite peaceful at the end.

Beautiful view after a fairly easy walk. Was there early morning so not the best lighting for pictures. I think it would be better at sunset.

Love love love sunset park. Walking trails, friendly people and kids. The splash pad is free, but in the sun, so sunscreen! It's 10-5 I believe and the button to turn it on is on the pad itself.
The littles play area and the big kids play area are well kept and always fun.

Super fun hike. It starts low along the creek with some shade, then climbs up to Merry go round rock. The trail is next to the four wheel vehicle trail but isn't close enough to feel dusty or noisy. The views near the top are amazing

Visiting from Wisconsin, we stopped here every day this week. Very nice shaded area and grassy area for our dog. Beautiful views to the north. Great park system in Sedona!

Our favorite hike in sedona. 6+ miles of Beautiful foliage, Stream crossings, & great view at the end. Well marked trail which crosses the jeep road several times. Trail leads to bottom of merry-go-round rock. If you continue on till you again cross the jeep road and then turn right onto the road, it will lead you back down to the upper side of merry-go-round. Great view from here looking down over cow pies. (This is where several jeep tours take you.) You can then take the jeep road on down until the next trail intersection & take the same trail path back to parking. Highly recommend.

The hike from Marg’s trailhead is 100% the way to go. We saw 2 people the entire trip, as opposed to 2000 you’d see on bell rock. It’s as easy or as challenging as you want it to be

Great for photos! At the end of the trail you'll find an opportunity to climb higher to get an amazing view.

We showed up two days after a massive snow Strom. The view was too amazing to worry about dirty your shoes in the red soil

Get to the parking area early it fills fast. Trail starts easy turns into a super fun scramble/hike to snoopy rock. You can make it more or less challenging depending on what way you climb up.

Easy one way trail, small parking lot.
Gives you a variety of views.
Great for family or a quick stroll.

Snoopy Rock in Arizona is a must-visit for all rock climbing enthusiasts. The rock formations are challenging and offer a wide range of routes for climbers of all levels. The scenery is breathtaking and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, Snoopy Rock is sure to provide an unforgettable experience

Nice little trail - Rocky at parts - Fay Canyon Arch is easily missed, it’s a smaller trail on the right and it’s semi-steep and rocks. A sign at the end of trail tells you that you it’s time to turn around.

So close to Sedona makes for plenty of ppl till you go past the second gate. Then not many ppl at all. From Sedona the first 6 miles are very rocky and rough. After the overlook it’s just a dirt gravel road till you hit 17. On that side there’s many campers.

A very approachable trail with various points where more determined people can continue. A very beautiful hike. There's an arch that you can branch onto an offshoot path to climb up to, it's a bit more intermediate but definitely worth the hike up. There are ruins from a previous civilisation that settled there, so fascinating!

One of my favorite of many places I do my professional photo shoots for my clients.

Amazing easy hike. You can choose to walk the arch or walk past. Still a blast with cool views

Great hike! Do it early in the morning or during a cloudy day. The hike to the top can be tough and scary for some, but worth it. However, if you don't feel like hiking to the very top of the rock, you can enjoy beautiful views along the trail.

Beautiful view of the buttes and mountains. The hike up can be slippery if it has rained or snow. It is a 10 minute walk from the airport parking lot in case the closer, smaller lot is full which it often is. There's a stone bench which is great to take a family portrait on.

Beautiful, peaceful and private. You’ll love any number of sandy beaches, shallow crossings or waist/chest deep swimming holes dotted along Oak Creek at the Chavez Crossing public access area. Please respect the space and remember to take only photos, leave only footprints. 😉🕉

Really great place... Saw Hemsworth here and he made us laugh by talking like Thor!!!
Also saw a rattlesnake, so be careful!
While beautiful this is absolutely water you should not swim in, the monitoring station closest to this one always always always shows incredibly high fecal counts... Remember just a few miles up is slide rock then grasshopper point and all the feces from humans and livestock just gets to fester for a few miles and just a little bit of this water in your tummy will make you sick... Or just consider it the best. Diet. Ever.
Also... Do not park on the road... You must give room for two cars to pass on the way in and out. If you can't park below you'll have to park at the secret slickrock trailhead about one mile up. Our friends got a $275 ticket and their car was towed to Cottonwood about 45 minutes away... another $350 and a total waste of a day thinking that their car was stolen.

Beautiful, great views and easy hike. Scramble at the end to get up past end of wasnt too bad. If you keep going past the inital plateau the trail lead to a curved caver that one is is lil more sketchy to get to at the end since its on the sandstone. But its a nice place to relax in the shade and enjoy the view. Take you time coming down if you climbed up it.

Beautiful view from the top of the rock!

Great place to walk my dogs. Has a nice area for kids too. The surrounding sites of the mountains were great. Be aware of Coyotes in the neighborhood. They were wandering the street just outside the park.

Totally worth it to locate this spur and do this extra climb. About halfway along the Fay Canyon Trail on the right (before you reach the big square stone, this unmarked spur leads all the way up to this awesome arch and cave formation. The trail get a bit more advanced, but my 5 year was able to climb it just fine. A bit tricky to find if you aren’t paying attention, and you might go off roading a couple of time trying to find the right one, but so worth the effort. Plan to use your fisheye lens or pano setting!

Absolutely beautiful. Theres a few shallow areas to just sit by a nice deep area with rocks stacked that make it easy to climb out and a ton of fish so it's a great fishing spot too

The hiking is easy to moderate depending on the trail you stay on. Very rocky, so make sure you have appropriate hiking shoes. Need more that sneakers. Scenery is gorgeous. Parking lot has map and bathroom.

It was a tough one to get to ... we started from Red Rock Crossing by got stuck because the little bridge that Google maps showed did not exist irl. So we drove up to Catheral Rock and hiked down from there. But all was worth it!!! Its so serene and the energy is undeniably precious.

Great spot for a hike or taking beautiful photos. The kids happily ran around here for over and hour playing on the stunning red rock. Bring a wide angle lens so you can capture the 360 degree views.

Short little hike up to the view point. Very little parking so you may have continue up to the airport for paid parking. The view point offers a 360° view of Sedona that is breathtaking.

Beautiful. Easy hike and pure panoramic. Still not understanding the vortex but the view is zen like

Really enjoyed this park ❤ Sedona & the energy vortexs/vertices have been on my bucket list for 15 years. Wish I had come sooner and could come back more frequently!

Easy hike. Cool shade. Beautiful canyon.

Gorgeous close and vista views. Less crowded than other trails

The photos speak for themselves!! Amazing sunset views. Not busy. Was very windy the night we were there in late April.

My favorite place in Sedona. Don't go. I don't want it get too crowded.
