It's such an interesting place. We had a couple of cocktails. And nice talk to staffs. Worth to pay a visit even if you don't drink absinthe. It has a very artistic and beautiful atmosphere. Loved the detail of decorations. And drinks are fantastic too.

It’s cozy as a bar, but I found nothing to call it a museum;
expected to learn more about Absinthe, but could only enjoy to drink it
(a bit expensive).

Off the beaten path museum? Admission is free and it’s a former classroom/school I think?! The lady who who works there didn’t speak much English but they tried so hard to make sure I knew what was going on, found me a pamphlet in English, and offered to take my photos and let me use the former fountain pens used in the classroom.

Incredible spot. I was in awe the whole time and ended up liking absinthe from this experience. (The sugar definitely helped) also, the tourist store on the corner of the absinthe spot has great post cards with illustrations of the bar interior! I snagged one!
A wonderful museum showcasing a rich collection of postcards from all over the globe, tracing back to the late 19th century. The exhibition not only turned out to be exceptionally informative but also, brought a sense of nostalgia to our visit. We spent over an hour admiring the evident passion and hard work that was put into this place. As a fellow postcard admirer myself, I highly recommend it!
Un joli petit musée très immersif pour découvrir l’enseignement de dans le temps ! Musée très complet (cartables, blouses, photos, livres …). Bonus pour la séance d’écriture. Merci pour l’accueil chaleureux
Such an amazing experience. There's a shop upstairs and a bar down the stairs. It's a super cool vibe, I went there quite early, but was still super cool. Will definitely be back. There is a wide selection of absinthe to choose from, and the super friendly and knowledgeable staff will help if you have any questions. I recommend the Absinthe Superior. Was really delicious. You can also purchase the drinks upstairs if you found one that you liked.
Un musée absolument charmant ! N'oubliez pas de le visiter si vous voulez revivre votre enfance, vous asseoir à l'ancien pupitre du siècle dernier et écrire une petite lettre à la plume et à l'encre.
Highly recommend a visit - incredible collection of postcards and a display that really takes you on a journey! Such lovely staff too with a serious passion for postcards.

Unexpected great place to visit. Very friendly and helpful former teacher took all the time to explain us how teaching was done in the past. Must see!
Beautiful museum with many historical postcards. I learned a lot there, for example about the audio post cards.

If you are few days in Antibes you should visit the museum.

Toujours aussi intéressant! Bravo aux bénévoles qui expliquent roujours avec bienveillance et passion! Merci
Spent a lovely 90 mins in this excellent museum.
Privately owned by a very friendly curator. He told me it had been his lifelong passion since he was 18 years old in Paris. The art quality on some of these postcard is superb. Postcards sadly lost in time but fortunately for us available here.

Quirky absinthe bar in the basement of a corner building in old Antibes. Packed full of character and loads of old absinthe glassware. Absinthe is an acquired taste, but go for the experience and pretend you are in some 1800’s Parisienne bar or the Moulin Rouge. There was a nice chap playing guitar and singing.

Pkace is really nice, good choice of absinth, but the water already on the tables to prepare the absinth didnt make it feel very clean
Amazing experience. I had just listened to a podcast on the study of postcards so this peaked my attention. So happy I went. The postcards were informative and inspirational. I was surprised by how unique and special each postcard was. The curator was so knowledgeable and kind, I loved my time there. We stayed for about 2 hours and we loved every minute of it!
Très beau musée à visiter impérativement avec de très belles collections. A ne pas manquer pour les amateurs d'art.

Très joli musée, à faire avec ses enfants!
We had some time free so popped into the Postcard Museum. It was a very interesting experience and the curator provided some insightful commentary on the history of postcards, how they evolved and showed us some surprising examples. We had kids with us, and he catered the talk to them. He spoke in both English and French and let us see some rare special postcards. Recommended if you are interested in the history of communications, and if you have a little time free, or if it's a rainy day in Antibes. Merci beaucoup!
Excellent museum with superb guiding - I had a personal twenty five minute tour (no extra cost) which helped me to get the most of the collection. I learnt so much and was immediately inspired to continue the art of postcard writing later on my holiday. Some real insights into French and European history too. Merci!
The museum looks little, but I have spent there the best hours of my summer holidays. There are a lot of originals postcards, their order is meticulously chosen by Christian Deflandre: collector, writer, humanist and philanthropist.
Mister Deflandre has an excellent sense of humour and he knows how to tell stories and those cards are a series of stories; all those stories together will give to the visitors a pretty interesting view on two hundred years of history, of living history.
I really recommend to visit that little museum, it's charming and it will let you the curious impression that life can really turn a simple piece of paper into a jewel.

Excellent quirky museum in a small side street just off the covered market. Not obvious but its hidden away at the back of a shop selling Absinthe. To find it walk to the back of the shop and then down a flight of stairs. The whole bar is underground with parts dating back to Roman times. There's a collection of Absinthe and the special water fountains used with sugar cubes when drinking Absinthe. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. Very worth a visit.
This museum is a bust! No really great works from Picasso and no real ambiance. The Chagall Museum in Nice is a don't miss, this one a don't waste your time.
