A must do if you're in Coron city !
You can go there with a tricycle or by your own means (we had a scooter).
You can rent a boat with the captain for 300 pesos per people.
Then he will take you snorkeling around the small island and it s really beautiful.
We even saw a turtle there.
Don't miss it !

So so incredibly beautiful. This was my favorite place to visit during my stay in Coron. It was not crowded, there was no line, the waters are so clear, beautiful and serene. Literally have no words to describe this place. I found this place better than te lagoon’s I’ve seen on the ultimate tour. (Mostly because those places are very crowded)

Renting a Kayak to go to these islands and diving with snorkel in they coral garden was the best thing that we did in our three days stay in Coron. My suggestion, go to the the shore near the islands around 2pm, rent a Kayak or a boat (it costs 300P per person), dive to see the corals, return around 4:30 pm and then go the Mount Tapyas to see the landscape of Coron and the sunset. Thank me later...
Come as early as you can. After 9am you will have to queue up for a long time together with hundreds of people. I recommend a private tour which is a little more expensive but worth it definitely.
Very annoying: swimming in the lake is possible with a lifewest on only. There's a "lifeguard" to control this.
It's absolutely stunning! You can clearly see about 50 feet down in the lake as you watch the lake bed and the unique rock formations.
Most companies are offering the exact same tours, but the one I posted was the cheapest we found.

I went to Coron as a solo traveler and booked a Firefly Tour @ Kings Fisher Park, and the tour inclusions are Kayaking at the Mangroves area the experience is like you were in a movie Anaconda 😅😂😂😂 and when its get dark you will see the fireflies on a certain mangrove trees, then a bioluminescence when you dip your hand into the water, and the last one star gazing.. Imagine the bioluminescence, fireflies and the stars altogether while kayaking, its magical.. ❤🤍💚

Very nice experience seeing the fireflies. Really friendly rangers with explanations on the reserve and the fireflies. We were unfortunately a little too early to see the plankton but the fireflies we there and the atmosphere was great. If you are lucky on a night with no clouds, the stars are also amazing.

Couple of tips: to see the fireflies, come after sunset. Ideally after 7-7:30pm. We arrived just too early at 6pm. Take bug repellant and apply it BEFORE entering the reserve. You can rent a bike in town for 6 hours for 500 and get there easily in about 25 minutes. Free parking. Entrance fee is 300 per person and 500 if you rent a kayak.

Make this your first stop on the island hopping tour to truly enjoy the beauty without the crowds. We have snorkeled in Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean Sea, and Malaga, but this place has, by far, the most beautiful coral reefs concentrated in one area. Be sure to bring your water shoes and exercise caution in some areas which could be shallow. Plan to spend at least an hour exploring!

Great little trip. 2 hours in a private boat, going to different snorkel spots. The office is on Coron mainland and it’s a 3 min boat ride to your first stop. You don’t really travel far, as the little islands offer beautiful clear waters with some very shallow parts. Careful not to tread on the corals. Getting in and out of the boat can be tough. Bring water and a sun hat in case you’re like me and watch your husband doing most of the swimming 😂 For 300p each it’s super affordable.

Amazing place to explore and swim.
We got some really nice photos of us with the ocean in the background. It's a nice high vantage point with a great view below. There were an exceptionally large number of tourists there today, so the line to get a photo was super long and took over 30 minutes to get to the photo spot. Most people will only come here once, so it's worth it for that once in a lifetime photo.

Nice little viewpoint.

You walk up and go left, if you continue straight you will go to the swimming area.
For the viewpoint you wait in line to take a photo, I think the climb was a bit more than some people expected and they were struggling quite a bit so just realize that the stairs are wide apart at some points (think double or triple regular stairs) and I think that’s probably what people were struggling with.

Most younger and more in shape folks had no problems at all, don’t forget to bring your life jacket with you if you want to swim in the other side. There was some people showing up without them and they were told they couldn’t swim.

Decent little swimming area, don’t forget your life jacket. Some people came without it and were told they couldn’t swim. Water had a greasy film on top and wasn’t that clear, still looks pretty from above though.
Not really much marine life at all, some baby needle fish was about all we saw.
Kayangan Lake in Coron, Philippines, is a breathtaking natural wonder known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. Considered one of the cleanest lakes in Asia, it offers a serene and picturesque setting, attracting visitors with its stunning underwater landscapes and unique blend of freshwater and saltwater.

It’s difficult. It is beautiful to me because I’ve never seen coral before. But sad because it is 80% dead. The tourism here has killed it.

I still enjoyed myself seeing the fish but maybe that’s a bit selfish of me and hypocritical. I probably would miss this and insist on finding somewhere healthier.

Best snorkeling spot on Coron. A must visit! The corals are beautiful and there are a lot of fish, also bigger ones. Some of the boat guides told us that there would usually be large waves but that was not true. The water was very calm and quite shallow. I guess since it’s a bit further away from the other spots of Coron Island they didn’t want to spend the extra fuel.

This is the last destination during Tour A last Dec 30 2023. You had to take 360 steps uphill and downhill to get to the lake but the view is worth it. Better get a private tour and get there early to avoid the crowd and get better photos.
Please don’t come here! Literally almost no coral alive anymore. I don’t understand some of the past reviews. This reef is completely dead due to overtourism (boats throwing their anchor in, people standing on the coral because they cannot swim, applying sunscreen before entering the water, etc.)… Don’t come here, if you know what an alive reef looks like, this is a sad grave yard…
Had an amazing experience here with family ☺️. There are many steps up to the lake but it is worth it 🤗. The lake is beautiful to swim in 🥰

Nice little park to enjoy multiples fireflies. Also the phosphorescent plancton is nice. Don't except something crazy but you still see lights in the water. A bit expensive because it is 500 php to do the fireflies + plancton.

Beautiful location. Worth going to. But i recommend talking to one of the boatmen at the port the previous day and arranging a private trip with him. So that you could arrive a little earlier than the larger group trips and can get a glimpse of the beauty and tranquility of the place. The private boat cost 3500 pesos and with the aqua shoes, kayak, all the fees, it cost us around 7300 pesos for 2 adults and a toddler.
Beautiful rock Formation and clear water. Downside, theres only one stairs for entrance and exit to lake, a bit hard to go down when crowded. But I would say its still a paradise.

A dirt bumpy road on the side of the highway leads you to one of the most amazing places in Coron. We decided to travel at night to see the plankton and fireflies.

Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. Omar our guide brought us out in kayaks to see the mangroves where fireflies danced. We were also able to see illumination of the plankton as we splashed our hands in the water. It was pitch black but very calm waters, a peaceful environment and a totally cool, underrated place experience. We are so glad we found this hidden gem! The workers were so nice, informative and humble.

500 pesos per person entrance fee. Our guide was nice enough to give us OFF lotion, but bring your own bug spray if you can!

PS, take a van or tricycle from the city is you’re not comfortable riding a scooter.
They did say they were looking to improve the road leading to the park!

Ticket was 500p and tricycle from center was 600p. There are many fireflies which you can see pretty up close. But the planctons were amazing. They create little sparks when you shake the water. Choose a day which has less moonlight :)
Beautiful place. Most people go there after the sunset to see the fireflies and luminiscent plancton, but you can also get there before sunset to walk through the platforms along the mangroves. If you're lucky you can spot some kingfishers and jellyfish. There are no hiking paths, just the platforms but it's 100% worth it. You can take a tour from Coron for like 1200php but also rent a bike and DIY and it'll be 500php per person which includes a kayak and guide plus the bike rental. The place is protected for conservation and I heard that they will soon start offering birdwatching boat rides along the river. The guides were amazing and knew a lot. Just beware of the bumpy and muddy road after the exit from the concrete road, but it's like 300m and very doable.

This was our first stop of the tour and it did not disappoint. When you reach the top your guide will take pictures of you- there is a long line btw. After you hike down for the swimming and snorkeling. I deducted 1 star because of the hike up-down-and-up-down again 😅. We also docked quite far so we had to take the long "footbridge" which for me was the scariest part because they were uneven wood, and was quite apart from each other. It was nerve wracking for me to walk looking down to make sure I don't trip and fall off the water which had huge rocks. We were wearing lifejackets but for someone who has that kind of fear, it was not an easy feat.I was not ready for it.😅

Backpacker on a budget here - Only 300 pp and one of the best snorkelling ever.

Totally worth it! From Coron P.T. take a motorcycle or trike down (east) towards Siete Pecados and turn right onto another little dirt road that goes down into a little town/settlement. Take a slight right and head for the basketball court.

We parked our motorcycle and went to the tourist info center. There you pay 200 pp for either a kayak or a boat and 100 pp for the environmental fee. Our friends rented snorkels for 100. They gave us a discount for 4 people which was very nice. Honestly I would recommend getting the boat, since it comes with a captain/guide who takes you to a cave/”lagoon” and 4 really cool snorkelling spots. One of them is a colourful big clam garden! Other than that our highlights were a turtle, barracuda, bat fish and lots of light blue hard coral. Super colourful and healthy.
(Maybe ask to see barracuda point, since I only found out about it later and we didn’t go there.)

Have fun 😍

Twin Lagoon is part of Coron Island Tour B as called by tour agencies. It's usually the first destination of this tour package. To get to the lagoon, one has to go swimming or ride a kayak.

Disclaimer: non-swimmers are advised to wear their life jackets all the time. For swimmers, they need to keep or at least bring a life jacket the entire time, just in case of emergency.

Definitely worth a visit! We rented a scooter to drive there. Entrance without kayak Tour is 300 PHP per person. Come at around 6 to witness the sunset and fireflies slowly appearing. Stay until 7/8 to see the most beautiful sky!!! (Worth checking if it’s going to be cloudy or not).

Big thanks to the very friendly local man who showed us around. 🫶🏼

Oh, Twin Lagoon in Palawan, Philippines is truly a mesmerizing destination! The tranquil ambience combined with its exceptional turquoise water makes it a hidden gem. The lagoons are surrounded by limestone cliffs, giving it a surreal and picturesque beauty. The experience of swimming or kayaking through the narrow opening that leads to the lagoon is simply unforgettable.

The tranquility of Twin Lagoon provides a sense of peace and serenity. The clear turquoise water is so inviting that you can't resist taking a dip to refresh yourself. As you swim, you'll be amazed by the vibrant coral formations and diverse marine life that thrive in this stunning environment.

Twin Lagoon is one of the highlights in Coron.

Usually included in a tour, this place offers two lagoons connected by a small tunnel you can cross either swimming or by kayak.

You don't want to miss visiting Kayangan Lake when in Coron, Palawan!

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the beautiful site of food stalls in the water. After that, there's a little bit of hiking to access the lake. Elderly will have difficulties with this, kinda steep. But the hike will be all worth it.

The stunning turquoise, crystal-clear water was so relaxing. Interestingly, the water is fresh but a little bit salty. Surrounded by greens and the sounds of nature, wear your life jacket and float away.... Relax, enjoy, and live the moment.
Don't miss out on this magnificent and instragramable view when visiting Kayangan Lake in Coron Island... You just need to wait on the line a little, but it's all worth it.

I adore how serene the lake is—especially for beginners who are just trying out swimming and want to take in the scenery. Just remember to put on your life jacket. ✌️
A beautiful place to snorkel and take pictures/videos in. There’s just a little hike going up the view deck and into the lake, then another hike going back to the docking area. If you have mobility issues, this might be a challenge.
Very beautiful. Visited as part of a tour, it's only a short walk up 167 steps (stairs) to the viewing platform. The guides are around to take photos of everyone (no hawking) and then most people head down to the lake to swim (gotta carry all the swimming gear up and down though).
You gotta go. So pretty. Stairs through the jungle to the viewing platform then over the Ridge and down to the lake. Stunning

Kayangan Lake is an absolute gem hidden within the breathtaking landscapes of Coron. Having visited this pristine natural wonder, I am left awe-struck by its unparalleled beauty and the ethereal experience it offers to all who venture to explore it. One of the highlights of my visit was climbing up a wooden platform to a vantage point that offered a panoramic view of the lake. The vista was nothing short of breathtaking, with the lake's pristine waters framed by the dramatic limestone cliffs that define the landscape. I found myself lost in the sheer beauty of it all, and I couldn't resist capturing the scene with my camera.

I wouldn't bother trying to go. The pin is in the wrong place and most likely on another island.

We did try however to find it. We went to the pin, asked locals and no one seemed to know it. Some told us to go straight down the highway. We kept stopping along the way to ask people and they kept telling us it's far even after 50minutes or so of driving.

So it's either around the Busuanga town area or on a different island.
The place is very magestic! Make sure you carry life vest and snorkel to enjoy the underwater scenery. And if you want to enjoy, be an early bird.

It’s probably my first time to have fun in the water in a rainy day.
I was comforted that many travelers are same as us in such a bad weather.
Our boat was docked a bit far away from the entrance so we had to swim or raw a kayak into the lagoon.
However, it’s very difficult to get in and out the kayak without others help.
Thanks for all the strangers who helped that day.

Nice clean lake to snorkel around. There were divers here too but they weren’t in the way of snorkelers (and vice versa).
Lucky enough to see a large barracuda swimming around the edges and into the main entrance point.
There were also a couple of stalls at the entry point with the general rinks and snacks available. There were also fresh coconuts but they weren’t cold.
My daughter enjoyed exploring the sea and corals. Will definitely come back. Next time my daughter will bring her mermaid costume the second time around. ♥️

Twin Lagoon is a must-see for any visitor to Coron, Philippines. It is a stunning natural wonder, with two crystal-clear lagoons separated by a narrow limestone cliff. The water is a beautiful turquoise colour, and the surrounding cliffs are lush with vegetation.

There are two ways to access the lagoons: by swimming or by climbing down the cliff. Swimming is the more popular option, but it can be challenging if the tide is high. Climbing down the cliff is more difficult, but it offers stunning views of the lagoons.

Once you reach the lagoons, you can swim, snorkel, or simply relax on the beach. There are also a few small caves that you can explore.

Twin Lagoon is a beautiful and unique place. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Coron.

Here are some tips for visiting Twin Lagoon:

Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
Bring a waterproof camera to capture the stunning scenery.
Be prepared for the heat and humidity.
Wear sunscreen and a hat.
Bring a pair of water shoes to protect your feet from the sharp rocks.
Be respectful of the environment and do not litter.

It is a freshwater lake adjoining the sea in coron Island. One has to take aboat to reach here. Life jacket is must to enter. The lake is amongst crevices in the rock formed of Limestone. If you are lucky you may site barracuda fish while diving. The lake has cool water at top and as you go down the water is warm.
Amazing nature. Nice place to snorkel.
Throw a little of the leftover rice from your tour into the water and see how those Filipino fishes love it and gather around you! You can take great photos with the trick. Don't know if rice is harming them but I don't think so and locals said there's no harm.
The place is mesmerizing especially if there are less to no tourist. It is a very peaceful place for you to unwind and just be with nature. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to see the fireflies and bioluminescent planktons as we were unable to secure a ticket in coron town. But overall experience is great. The sunset view is also to watch for. :)
Gorgeous coral, lots of fish, many sea urchins, wear water shoes!

The 360 strenous steps uphill and downhill and back is worth every muscle pain. Breathtaking view from the viewing deck . Coron's signature picturistique view. The lake is enchanting and captivating. I wish i can stay a little longer without the crowd. Feels like in a movie. So serene.

Visit this lake last or all the others will seem lame! This was easily the best lake of the major 3. We hired a private boat to see all the lakes and it was definitely the way to do it. Cost 3,500php not including entrance fees. We went around 1:30pm on a weekday and there were a decent amount of boats docked, but not a lot of people. We had the lake more or less to ourselves! This is the lake you get that amazing picture you see all over the internet when you Google “Coron”

Kayangan Lake is a very clear freshwater lake in Coron, Palawan, showcasing rock formations, caves and islets. It’s a famous spot for photographers and is said to be the cleanest lake in the Philippines. The water is so clear that you can often see down to a depth of 10 meters, enabling even non-swimmers to see the untouched rock formations from viewpoints around the lake.

In this area, one can swim, snorkel, dive, and hike the overlooking mountain for panoramic views of the area. Keen hikers with a tour guide can also visit a cave at the top of the mountain but may not be able to enter.

Swimmers wishing to jump into the lake should seek advice from guides about where the safest diving spots are, because there are some protruding sharp rocks under the water. It’s also worth noting that you won’t float as easily in the super-fresh water as you would in the sea.
