The wonderful 360 degree views from this lookout are well worth the drive on unsealed roads to get there. We were fortunate to have good weather and could appreciate the amazing scenery.

Great to stop and have a look. Can walk along the dam and get some good shots. I did a long video of the place but can’t upload as it is too big!

Love the view from here.
Great vantage point to take an aerial/panoramic view shot of the Gordon Dam and surroundings. Definitely worth it!

There are two lookouts here. One is the Knob Hill lookout with view of Lake Gordon, and the other is another Gordon Dam Lookout that lets you see the dam from up high.

Hard to give a rating to what is basically a carpark on top of a hill in the middle of nowhere, but having said that, "Nowhere is beautiful!"

Actually, it's amazing! Breathtaking even. Worth the drive to see some spectacular scenery, and to feel like you're on a hike without the actual exercise!

Other than a simple directional plaque, the wildlife, abundant vegetation, 360 degree views, and weather, (check out the clouds in my pics!) there are no amenities to speak of here. The closest toilets are at the Huon camp-site, roughly 5-10 minutes back the way you came, so be sure make a pit stop on your way up!

Also you will be very exposed to the ever changing Tasmanian weather up there, so be sure to prepare for four seasons in a day, but worst case scenario, you can drive around in a circle and still see the views! (Don't forget to wind the windows down and smell the air!)

Absolutely magnificent 360° views. Such a stunning place, well worth the detour.
That lookout is unbelievable insane!!! As a photographer and Australia expert I can tell you: that's my favourite spot!
Nice little dam with magnificent views around. We went there on our way back to Hobart from Gordon Dam. If you travelling from Gordon Dam towards Hobart, you have to turn right and drive a couple of kms. You will be driving around the lake. Serpentine dam creates Lake Pedder and the dam wall is concrete faced rock fill. Dam wall is 38m high.
Can see a nice view from there. Worth taking a photo.

On the way to Gordon Dam, on the left side of driving, just go up to the Pedder Lake Lookout, we can see how huge Pedder Lake is. It's very goregous and worth to stop and spend some time there before seeing the Gordon Dam. We went there on a cloudy day but the scene is still very spectacular.

Spectacular engineering. Worth the trip.
Pity they do not have tours of the Power Station....this would cap off a great trip.

We camped out up here overnight in our van for stargazing, if unspoiled night skies are what you're after then this is the place. The morning bought even more beauty as the lake mists left us on an island in the clouds. No facilities so bring your own water, toiletries, etc.

One of the most beautiful places in Australia. 360 degree of view, Scott's Peak surrounded by water is quite a scene.

Lovely spot. Went with a friend, we were the only people there. Walked up Mount Sprent, track was very muddy, and in some places there was no formal track. Lovely natural spot, lots of plant life and variety, can see the West Coast of Tasmania when up high enough.

Gravel road on approach unlike Gordon Dam. However, there are no steps like Gordan Dam when visiting so it's much easier to visit if you're not keen on a stairway.
