It's a very good and safe place for water sports
Best way to visit fort, only unavailable in rainy season. Sefty jacket provided to every ferry rider. The ferry ride takes only 15-20 mins due to its enjoyable path experience. The ferry costs only 50 Rs per person.

the only fort built by Shivaji Maharaj, is a captivating glimpse into Maharashtra's rich history. Its formidable stone architecture and strategic location offer breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea..once you reach sindhudurga you have to take a ticket for fairy which is somewhat 100 rupees for one person then with half an hour journey the fairy take you to the fort and there are so many places to visit inside the for including shivaji Maharaj Temple and his hand and foot print which is still preserved ,within one hour you have to explore the fort and then can take the fairy back to the point you started, they have less place for parking but yeah you can park if you are going by personal vehicle
I recently visited the Sindhudurg Fort by ferry and had a fantastic experience. The ticket cost was reasonable at around 200 per person, and the quick 5-10-minute journey to the fort was enjoyable. I suggest arriving early in the morning to avoid long ticket queues, as waiting times can be extensive during peak hours or long weekends. For a smoother experience, consider having one person wait in the ticket queue while another stands in the ferry line if you're in a group of more than two. Additionally, an early visit offers the advantage of exploring the fort comfortably before the sun and temperatures rise in the afternoon. Highly recommend this ferry trip for a convenient and enjoyable visit to Sindhudurg Fort.

Since the fort is situated on an island, the only way to reach it is by the means of ferries which are quite easily available from the Malvan coast. The ferry takes INR 100 for adults and 50 children aged below 12 years for a round trip and 15-20 minuted to reach this attraction. Tourists fee of 10INR is additional, payable at the fort.
A must visit historic place situated along the beautiful coastline of Malvan! Make sure to hire a tour guide inside the fortress to learn about its historic significance.

It is one of the beaches in malvan.....you can drive your vehicle on the beach side, which is a great experience (drive safe)....as usual you will find all water sports and beach side eateries and casual wear for beaches......one evening fish auction market is also there......you can walk towards sindhudurg fort in the low tide..... overall a good place to visit in the sunset time
I visited this fort last weekend. It was an adventurous experience. The view from top is just breathtaking. You need to take a boat ride from the beach to reach the fort. The ticket fare is 100/- per head to and fro. Upon reaching the fort there are a ton of things to explore including temples, wells chor-rastas etc.
It was extremely crowded and sunny. Make sure to carry basic things for sun protection.

Construction of the Sindhudurg fort was supervised by Hiroji Indulkar who was took assistance from Portuguese engineers of Goa.
The main purpose to build the fort was to counter the rising influence of foreigners (Dutch, Portuguese, French, British) and curb the rise of Siddhis of Janjira.
The fort lies off the shore of Malvan taluka of the Sindhudurg District in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.
The best time to visit fort would be morning 8.30 to 10.30 and in evening 4 to 6.
There is ferry ride which charges 100rs per person. They also provide safety jackets to visitors.

The fort holds a lot of history, it is just a shame it is not being maintained in a similar fashion. The place is commercialized with litter by unmindful travellers. Somehow the stories of valour and glory left behind.

Must visit once, you have to take ferry from shore 100 rs for adult. Not much places to visit as renovation work is going on. Best time to visit fort between morning 8 to 11 and evening 4 to 6. I would suggest Go in Evening as sunset looks great from fort.

Nice place ferry takes rs 100 per person with view of fort and from tarkarli Beach to sindudurg fort . Time period is 1 hour duration trip to view the fort. Not much eatables only 2 shop.

To visit The Great Sindhudurg Fort you need to hire ferry from ferry point at Malvan beach. You can either take a package where scuba and other sports included or you can solely plan for single visit to fort. Cost for return journey has included. You gen an hour to roam and explore Fort before catching return journey to the base. If you missed you can get any other boat by showing tickets. Last ferry is at evening 5.30 to 6.
Dandi beach is close to Sindhudurg fort. If you want to see fishing activities you can visit here. Mostly occupied by fishermen. There is a beautiful shrikrishna Temple on this beach.
Dandi beach is just 5 minute walk from dandi village in malavan. Surrounded by beautifull coconut trees.

It’s more of a market place for the fishing business in Malvan, it’s a seafood lovers paradise, if yr a tourist you can buy the freshest of fish and request any local hotel or the place you are staying to cook it for you in traditional Malvani style, believe me Malvani seafood is the best ever costal cusine, you can never have enough, and this particular place serves you the best. You will find many Restaurants around the market where you can taste the local cusine. Also don’t forget to buy the cashews from the Zantye factory outlet. Just ask anyone where it is or search it on Google.. the best possible cashews at the cheapest rates.. you will find it there.. later head to the dock to view the sunset or to the Sindhudurg fort to bask in history, if yr feeling adventurous you can go on the many water sport rides along the beaches or go Snorkelling or scuba diving.. there is plenty of things to do here, the locals are very helpful and loving people, if you don’t know anyone believe me just spk to someone and they will go out of the way to help u..

Padmadurg Fort is also called as Kasa Fort.This is a huge Island fort built by the Maratha Empire Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj . It is 338 years old and in very good condition and eco friendly fort for tourist. This is one of the strongest and greatest fortifications of the Marathas and stood as the naval command over the Arabian Sea. This for is of historical and cultural fort. This fort was also used as cell in the 19th century. It is located near the Malvan which is very near to reach by the Sea. This is in Maharashtra State in India.

A small fort probably created before sindhudurg for planning and logistics purposes. Now in ruins , you can walk to fort during low tide .
The beach is not that clean . However you can witness the fisherman activities and one can have view of Sindhudurg fort and sunset . Nothing else apart from this to be witnessed at this beach .In fact i would advise visit other beach like chivla beach .

Malvan city have 2 beaches. Chivala beach and this one. Stretched up to Padmagad. All types of watersports and scuba done here. Also this beach is busiest for fishing activities. Lots of trawler (fishing boats) anchors in this beach. Monday market, fishing auctions are also worth to visit.

The fort is ancient. Devgad is famous for its peace and sublime gesture, the fort is situated on a hill top beside the creek away from the town. The fort is actually guarded by the shore and rocks, the visit will give the structure, the lighthouse is in the fort now, governed by the coast guard. Could take any pictures because my phone battery died. I saw the most beautiful sunset of my life (till now I'm just 23 😆) for the way a good experience must visit.
