桧原桜は有名な桜なのですが、桜自体はとても綺麗でしたが、この場所はなんだか寂しいです。小さな公園に9本の桜の木は配置されていますが、あえて行く必要はないと思います。福岡にはもっと先らが綺麗な公園はたくさんあります。
すごく綺麗です。
新しく横に公園も増築されたし、子連れも楽しめるし、テーブルや椅子もあるので、座ってゆっくり花見もできます。
でも、花見しながらご飯を食べていたら鳩が来て、めちゃくちゃ狙われたので、要注意です！！

枝垂れうめの開花が1下旬から始まっています。去年よりも一ヶ月程早く。
Avoid this place at all costs—it's truly abysmal. I have seen much zoos with much better enclosures in developing countries that are considered to be far behind Japan. Barring a handful, almost all of the enclosures fall far short of providing the proper landscape, stimulation, or space for the animals. Most resemble prison cells—small, concrete, and devoid of plants or enrichment. Some were downright filthy.
Disturbingly, many animals displayed clear signs of distress and extreme boredom, including an (underweight) monkey, a zebra, the sun bears, and the large felines like lions and tigers.
The irony of proudly showcasing the Andean condor's wingspan on a sign, only to confine it in an enclosure barely double that wingspan, is hard to ignore. The zebra's enclosure lacks even artificial grass and looked more like a small parking lot than an enclosure for a large herbivore hailing from the African savannah.
The zoo has ample space available. Incorporating a few plants into specific enclosures should be a no-brainer. A slight increase in the cheap entrance ticket price could easily fund many improvements. Some of the animals just don't belong in the zoo, especially not in these horrible enclosures. The current state of affairs is truly unacceptable. There is no way the people behind it have any care in the world for animal welfare, conservation of zoology.

-It was easy to get tickets from the machine at the entrance
-It was a great experience with a variety of animals and pretty flowers.
-The park size is kinda big but there are benches across the park for visitors to rest. -One of the main foodcourt is outside the exit but there are small carts and cafe selling food and drinks around the park.
-The main souvenir shop is located right outside the exit.
-There’s mini park rides for kids.
-The birds section was closed due to bird flu.

They just have a bird, flamingo, giraffe and pinguin that’s a real animal rest of it they literally nothing. So many children coming here as group tour from school. They so cute, excited and lovely to foreigners ✨💕 they just have a toilet inside of the zoo the ticket also not that pricey. 600 yen.

If you are slightly familiar with animals in general and their origins and needs:don't spend money there.
That beeing said:let me elaborate a bit, why.
1)Passing several herbivores I first got the feeling :Uff. Do they even have enough space? Additionaly :the amount of children passing by them, screaming and shouting and so on (ok those are children - so they do what they do), the animals don't have even the slightest possibility to escape the noise. Taking into consideration, most of the are also flight animals... Count 1+1about the stress they are exposed day by day.
2)showing off, how big the wingspan of a condor is... 3.3m-Yes impressive. Putting that humongous bird in a cage maybe 10-12m wide,7-8m height and 15ish deep is questionable at least. The same applies to other bigger eagles, caged nearby.
3)the big cats. Lions and Amur Tigers.
Excuse me, but last time I've checked, there is no solid concrete pasted either in the savanna nor in the steppes and forests of Asian origins of the tiger. How in the gods freakin name did you come to the idea of putting concrete as an appropriate bedding for these animals? How? Explaine it please. The reason of "easier" cleaning is a lazy one. There you definitely should re-evaluate the thought behind a (proper) zoo.
And how do you expect these animals to be entertained and busy, if they hardly have anything to do. A tree for scratching the claws isn't close to what they actually need. Hearing them roar gave me goose bumps. Those screams were not mating/territorial ones. It was just pain and suffering I heard. The enclosures for lions and Tigers are way to small.
And please, don't come me with the reasoning:we couldn't provide a popper bedding because of "insert any reason here". The Orang-Utans have a huge variety of plants, trees and bushes at the bottom of their enclosure(which also seems to be very versatile and offers a lot to climb/do for the animals-so at least props to you there) . So it's not you aren't able to, but you don't want to,it seems.

水はかなり綺麗。子供が遊んでも深い所がないので安心して遊べます。駐車場が狭いのでなかなか停めれない。

住宅街からすぐのところにこんなに静かで自然が沢山ある公園があるなんて驚きました。駐車場は1日300円で安いし、近くに遊具のある広場もあって、子供と来ても楽しめます。売店では園内で採れた果物の販売もしてましたよ。この日は紫陽花が綺麗でした。のんびり過ごせるとても良い場所です。

Best rose garden in Japan! It was such a beautiful display. The zoo was so much fun, too. All the animals we saw had such spacious enclosures. I typically don't like zoos for keeping animals in cramped places but this was the opposite. Saw some really cool animals that I'd never seen before. Don't leave Fukuoka until you visit this place.
Well laid out and clean. I hope the animals are happy here. Lion and tiger cages were very sparse, and hippo looked bored. Anyway, as far as family time out looks great. Children were very excited. Nice play ground at the top with a children's size big wheel etc. Very colourful and cheery. In the botanical gardens, the roses looked beautiful and the greenhouse lovely. For the admission price I'd say good value for money. Just a few minutes walk away nice view of city from the car park
It’s a huge zoo. Please take time and visit the zoo. There are so many animals but we couldn’t see some animals as we entered the zoo after 15:00. If u want to see all the animals go before 14:00 as many animals will be gone back to there cage. Mainly tiger 🐯 lion 🦁 rhino 🦏 panther 🐆 the main animals were back to the cage instead of the display cage. My little one enjoyed a lot. All zoo takes around 3 hours as it’s on a hill with many ups and down.

Fukuoka Zoo and Botanical Garden is open every day 9am to 5pm (last entry at 4:30pm) except Mondays with a few exceptions. Individual prices are 600 yen for adults and 300 yen for high schoolers (some exceptions may apply, information about them is available on the website). It is located on the hillsides of Fukuoka with lots of trees and lush greenery and offers excellent views looking over the central Tenjin/Fukuoka city. We went during the cherry blossom season and it was beautiful. The zoo and the botanical garden are home to many hundreds of animals and plant species and they continue to expand as guests can see construction sites even today. The area is largely divided into three parts which are very well maintained. One may need all day to see everything. We spent one afternoon and barely covered one of these areas. It is well worth a visit especially with children to learn and see many animals and plant species and stroll up and down the hills.
It’s free charge for junior high and elementary school students , so we could enter it as cheaper as. There are great zones we could visit and play. My boys were happy there .

グラウンドと砂場、遊具がある芝生と松の木のエリアがあります。街中の児童公園の中では広いほうです。水道あり。夕方は小学生や犬の散歩が多いです。
最近は、週末など日によってゴミがかなり多いです。ハロウィンの後など、お菓子の袋だらけでした。

平日だったので人の多い少ないは分かりませんが、老若男女問わず楽しめると思います。

車や単車を全開で乗って県外遠征していた頃、道を通ってて見かける事はあっても行った事が無かった場所で。今回初めて行きました。
ココの閉園時間は17時と言う事で、もう少し早めに来れば良かった。
思ったより遥かに広くて時間が足りなくてまわりきれなかったので。
流石、園芸公園と言う事もあって見事な寄せ植えとかリースとかあって撮影しまくってしまった。
全体のバランスとかちゃんと考えて植えてある場所もあって園芸をされてる方にはとても勉強になる場所ではないでしょうかね。
果樹のコーナーも有りましたが、季節柄、特に撮影出来る光景は無くて撮影してませんが、みかん狩りとかイベントもある様で。

山のふもとにあり、涼しく感じられました。私は自転車で夕方行きましたが、駐車場は閉まっていました。夏場しか開放していないようです。浅い川があり、小さなお子さんでも楽しめると思います。トイレはきれいでした。

道路拡張のために伐採予定だった桜の延命を願う短歌に、当時の進藤市長が桜の伐採を中止する返歌を交わしたエピソードが知られています。
桜を愛する地域の市民の方々と、それに応える市政という理想が実現されたという点も、この桧原桜のエピソードを更に素晴らしいものとしているのだと思います。
近年は、この時期になると近隣の西花畑小学校近くに臨時の駐車場が設置されますし、都市高も通っていますので、野多目あるいは堤で降りてから花見を楽しみに行くこともできます。
地域の方々に愛されている桧原桜は、西花畑小学校の生徒たちや桧原桜を愛する方々が、毎年短歌を作り、桧原桜賞として表彰もされています。
これからも長く愛される場所として続いて欲しい、ということと、是非足を運んでいただきたく、星5としています。

まだまだ一分咲きです。YouTuberらしきグループがいてゆっくり観賞出来ませんでした。これから咲き始めると自分勝手な人が増えてのんびりと出来そうにありません。
10月に訪問。名前の通り桜の季節が最も綺麗でしょうね。謂れとしては30年以上前…道路拡張工事のため切られる桜を憂いた住民の方が、その気持ちを込めた短歌を桜の木にくくりつけたところ、市長の目にとまり市長も返歌を桜の木に残したそうで、その後桜の木を残すかたちで道路拡張は進んだ…とザクッとこんな感じだそうです😃

For 600¥ for both Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a great deal! Highly recommend, very family friendly areas. Plenty of food, bathrooms and benches along the ways.
The downfall: the zoo is under construction, I would still recommend.
The animals here look healthy and their areas are spaced out and have an actual good living area. None of the animals looked distressed.
When you arrive, if you have smaller yen bills, you can use the machines. If not go straight to the staff for tickets. They do NOT take American credit cards. There is parking on 2 different entrances.

トイレも一つありますが、トイレットペーパーはないので水に流せるティッシュやおしり拭きがあるといいです。汚くはないです。
駐車場は夏場だけ(8月いっぱいまで)の解放のようで、今回は路駐しました(^^;
駐車出来ても皆で詰めて停まる感じなので、夏場も路駐はあるようです。
この一帯だけ森のような感じなので涼しく、木陰も多くて良かったです(^-^)

このくらい見晴らしがいいと、子供の安全性が保たれると思います。

この桜の時期になると花を見るっていう名のお散歩が楽しい。
ま写真も撮るけど💡先週土曜日から毎日朝行ってたからか空の青さがきれいに撮れてる。
今日はたまたま午後から行ったけど空の青が薄くなるから、朝がイイなぁ。
今日は風があったのもあるやろうけど桜散り始めてる。あと風で揺れるからなかなかきれいに撮れなかった。
