Went here for our vacation first night in the city and we came because happened to have happy hour the time we got in.
Got shots and they were literally sample sizes u get at a liquor store. $5 each
Then we got a drink $3 for a can.
Annnnd our food took like 45 mins to come out but it was alright they charged a $15 service fee ? But the atmosphere was amazing and our waitress was very nice also they search bags intensively guess the city being so rough and it being a bar but
Best part about the experience was the aesthetics setting other than that save your money unless you just wanna hookah.
If u want good food that’s worth it this isn’t the place but it’s just my experience
Regardless place worth a try tho.

On Google it says open 2pm on Sunday, on their website it says 4pm. Visited at 4:30pm on a Sunday and it was closed. No sign nothing.

It was ok. Great wings. Stiff drinks. The hookah needed more flavor. Good music. Small place but I think there was more room upstairs. Not sure.

Food was great nice and hot crispy and everything, it was hot though no AC. Music was nice Service is good when its not busy 😂 Happy hour is great. Nice pre game spot

I loved my time during happy hour! Liz had great suggestions was super attentive quick and the food was great. I’ll definitely be back!

I did not have any food so I cannot speak on that. However, my friends and I were here and had hookah. There is a limit to the amount of tips distributed, which we understood, but someone had dropped theirs. We asked the bartender for another, explaining the incident, and she was very rude in her response, telling her fellow bartender (right in front of us) “You need to help them with these tips cuz I dont know why they have two or three people coming up here asking me for some tips.” Not once did we disrespect her or badger her for the hookah tips but we got such a nasty response. We had only asked her once yet she seemed so bothered by us. Outside of this incident, the atmosphere is pretty nice. The only other downside was the lack of free ice water as they only have bottles but this isn’t really much of a problem.

Me and my friends come here when we visit from Brooklyn. They show us love every time we pull up. Nice vibes. Good music and people

Hookah is fine! But baby the music trash! Playing all 2000 music! We asked to play some up to date music the lady told us no because it’s her playlist…come on now you literally have about ten guest in the entire place! I won’t be back!

As Senior Adults we received a warm welcome. The DJ played music to dance too which was nice. The tacos were tasty and filling. My 2 other senior friends enjoyed the hookah taste.

Stopped in before a show thinking I would be able to grab a few drinks and a quick bite. When I entered, I was immediately greeted by the bartender and asked if what I wanted as a drink. Ordered my drink and asked about food options. She told me the chef wouldn't be in for another 30 minutes. That was the last interaction I had with the bartender before settling up.
There were only about 10 people in the restaurant for the hour I stayed. During that time, the bartender smoked hookah with three guests at the other end of the bar, and didn't acknowledge anyone unless someone walked in or up to her. With each update on the chef's arrival I was told soon, and was not asked for an additional drink. Seemed like a cool spot but service can really ruin an experience.

I’ve given this spot so many chances but there’s no doubt they’re swapping out the liquor here and refilling the bottles with bottom shelf mess. None of the medium to high end liquor tastes right and you’ll have the headache of your life. I don’t smoke hookah but my friends always say they at least do good with that part and the DJ has usually been good. Again, I wanted to like this spot but we continue to cheat our own people with low quality services and lies. Do not recommend MK or any of the bars near it. They all cheating folks with bootleg liquor. Sad!

I went to Rosebar Sunday with my friends and it was a complete disappointment. Before we could even make it through the entrance, security staff at the front were downright hostile, smart mouth, and aggressive for no reason at all. Is this the kind of treatment patrons can expect at your establishment? My advice: reevaluate your 'security' team. We were prepared to spend money on a section, but after our experience, we won't be returning. If you'd rather let your incompetent security cost you business, be my guest.

I went to the nightlife on Thursday. They promote a deal on Eventbrite where you can get in for free before 11pm and from 11pm to 12am there is an open bar.
I got there at 10:30pm and that was a scam. I had to pay $25 to get in (cash $20) and no open bar.
Additionally, their drink prices were weekend prices with the prices going up every 30 mins. I bought my first drink for $14 and at the end of the night it $20 plus the automatic service charge they have.
Another aspect that I didn’t like was that they refused to serve water cups. I have never been to a club or bar that did that. Not only are they charging a cover but they are too cheap to offer water.

I had a very strange experience coming here for a Friday evening out. I put my name on the list for free entry with a group of friends, and upon arrival the bouncer attempted to charge us $20 cover each. When I showed him that we were in fact on the list, he admitted we were the very first people there for the night. Who charges cover for an empty club? We stuck around for a while but no-one else showed up, and we went to a different club across the street.

The district sports bar gives the best service, our bartender Ruth was very attentive and amazing. The ambience and the food is truly amazing. If u go there u have to get the wings and the crab fries they were really good. They also have the best happy hour in dc they got amazing deals. The hookah is also 10/10.I suggest you go and check it out.

I have a great time every time I come to Rosebar! The bartenders are all very friendly. I do not agree with the bad reviews at all. Rosebar service is always 10/10 , bottle service is unmatched. Ask for AB at the bar she’s great

This was my first thirsty Thursday and first time in Rosebar and I have to say if y’all bring DJ CAMO back regularly I’ll walk right back out. He played about 5 songs 3 times throughout the night, my friends and I were bored and the crowd was dry. I politely went up to ask if he could play some Nicki, he told me no and was extremely arrogant. I’ve NEVER had that experience with a DJ like I’m actually appalled.

ROSEBAR = TRASH. We were guaranteed entry by a promoter with written permission and everything for 6 of us via text. Security read the messages, said it guarantees nothing and wouldn't honor it and kept trying to scroll looking for more messages. paid $20 each to get in (11:30 pm) walked inside and the entire club had less than 30 people there no joke. Drink prices were ridiculous and drinks not that great. Lets talk about security. Easily 15-20 staff there for that purpose. I don't know who raised these men with the audacity to shove and grip up women for absolutely no reason. On top of that they we're too busy smoking hookah and dancing/singing to do their job when it mattered. This was my FIRST and LAST time going here.

My experience at MK Lounge was nothing short of exceptional. I organized a birthday party for eight people, and from the moment we stepped through the door, we were met with warmth and professionalism. The manager went above and beyond to accommodate our group, ensuring that every detail was taken care of with precision and care.
Our server was incredibly attentive, making sure our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering insightful recommendations that left us completely satisfied with our choices.
Each dish that graced our table was a masterpiece in its own right. From the perfectly seasoned appetizers to the decadent desserts, every bite was a symphony of flavors that delighted our taste buds. The presentation was impeccable, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
The ambiance of MK Lounge was another highlight of the evening. The stylish decor and inviting atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Whether we were mingling at the bar or enjoying our meal at the table, we felt relaxed and comfortable throughout the night.
Overall, I can’t recommend MK Lounge highly enough. From the impeccable service to the exquisite cuisine, every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience, look no further than MK Lounge. We’ll certainly be returning soon to create more unforgettable memories!!!

All I’m going to say is.. don’t come unless you’re willing to spend $750+ for a section. There’s absolutely no where to sit & you HAVE to get a drink in order for you to even lean on the bar.

Waitress was very rude who seated us. Ignored me multiple times. I spoke to her about it and she was very condescending. Prices too high for hookah. This is not an upscale place, the service sucks. If you’re not getting bottle service there’s barely anywhere you can sit. They have a whole different side that stays closed which should be utilized. Drinks were good, hookah average.

The ambiance was very nice. Bartenders are very attentive. Security does NOT PLAY 😊 so I felt safe for the most part. Drinks were on point. DJ was pretty damn good. Would def go back again

The drink special was bomb Cinco De Mayo weekend. The vibe was vibing, I love finding a place where people of color can come out and have a great time w/no issues. The DJ was dope too, the only eh thing I can say is the food was a really long wait we ended up having to get a refund but we didn't trip bc we were bar hopping. We will definitely be back tho!

Stopped in yesterday for happy hour. I'm on an alcohol free month but the waitress still "hooked me up" with this beautiful fruit medley drink. The food was amazing; I had the MK burger and my friend the lollipop chicken. Both were to die for. Everyone was extremely friendly will be going back.

One of the classic Hookah bar around DMV. Nice ambiance and great food. Music is always decent that doesn’t bother you like lounges around the area. Severus are cool and very friendly. I recommend this ti every person that like to smoke hookah and chill.

My friend and I found this place on a whim wanting to smoke hookah after dinner. We walked in and immediately knew this was going to be our new hookah spot. Decent service, GREAT sheesha, and the twerking music stays blasting till the early morning. Come in with low expectations and you'll have a blast.

One of my coworkers told me about this spot cause I'm about that fat Tuesday life and vouched that the daiquiri was on point........ they was right. They also do a all you can eat brunch for about $40. My chicken and waffles was good just wished I had more but that's a fat boy problem. Pssst.....if you check in on yelp you get a free shot.... not the plastic bottle shot . Got myself casamigo..... You're welcome.

Don’t go to this place unless you want to spend an absurd amount of money on Hookah, alcohol, and poor customer service. They have a sign in the entrance that displays the happy hour time and the promotions. It clearly said on the sign $5 rail drinks, $6 Hennessy drinks, $14.99 Hookah, etc until 9 pm. Once you get inside way before 9pm the server says the hookah was 50 bucks and drinks were $12 . I asked to speak to the manager/ owner to let him know that it is false advertisement, he became rude and dismissive. He turned the sign around and said $50 and that’s final. What a terrible way to treat potential paying customers. I will never go back there.

This lounge is a great place to hangout with friends! The hookah service is great and the food & drinks are pretty nice too. It's very laid back with mood lighting and mounted tv's. The music was a great mix of 90's R&B/Hip-Hop to present day.

False advertising on their website and flyers--they don't open at 5:30 like their website and FB claim. They actually open at 6PM for happy hour, and they didn't truly open until like 6:35pm because the employees are eating food and goofing off at a carryout spot that they also own 2 doors down.
Other than that it's fine. Cheaper, longer happy hr than most hookah places on U St. Hookah is fine. DJ is the best part of this place on Fridays and Saturdays. Nice mix of music. Service is garbage after like 8pm so be prepared. They charge a cover after 9pm on fri/sat night (bring $10 just in case and actually ASK security if there is seating upstairs before you commit to paying), cram you in between people, and seating ain't guaranteed either. Overall, its doable. Not the worst. Not the best.

I have been here a handful of times. The experience inside is fine but the last time I went, my girlfriend and I arrived to the door a minute before 9pm in order to get in free. Unfortunately, I had to throw away a water bottle before entering and the nearest trash can was at the corner. As I came back, I saw a man had joined the doorman - I can safely assume he was the manager or maybe even the owner. He refused to acknowledge our timely arrival and would not let us in without paying a $20 cover. My friend was celebrating her birthday inside and we were all planning to pay for drinks, hookah etc. BAD BUSINESS.

Avoid at all costs. We have more than enough hookah locations in DC that will treat you better than this place.
It's small, they charge you a $10 cover and then it takes 45 minutes to get service, if not longer. One girl and her friends said she waited over an hour. I've never paid a cover anywhere else.
One positive -- the DJ. He plays a mixture of the latest in R&B and Hip-Hop, but blends in some 90's and 2000's.
