Good beach. Quiet. Plenty of room. Doggy bags and bins available. Just needs a tap/shower at both entry points

Great place to take younger children. Much more protected then the lagoon as the reef fully encloses the north section to create a pool area. Not as busy as the the main lagoon it self.

Has its own stair access and showers.
Not Wheel chair accessible unfortunately.
It backs onto the dog beach so you may get a visit from dogs that have wandered too far. good to know if your kid is scared of dogs.

Caution if seeing up close to the north of this beach as sharp and hard rocks a below the sand and water. have seen people injuring their feet running in this area.

Beautiful Yanchep lagoon great Cafe, but the area needs so much more to entice visitors. SLS nippers great for local kids.

Great beach, love it but there has been speculation on If it's a nudist beach....
When Googled apparently it comes up in a list of nudist beaches in WA.... so just be aware incase your easily offended.

Most people will miss this as a community park, but give it a look, nature thriving in the community is important

Awesome spot to explore and play in the shallow protected water for little ones.
The beach is ever changing. The four seasons bring 4 different beach experiences. I love each of them

Fantastic beach with clear calm water. Never seems to be crowded even on weekends. Ideal when the wind is from the east but no problem when the doctor arrives.

Beautiful beach with soft white sand. Doesn't get too busy either. You can walk from the lagoon all the way along the beach heading north to to point. There are toilets and showers including changing rooms near the surf life saving club carpark and also plenty of parking
Great place for families, brilliant for kids, nice calm water and the colours are amazing, definitely ome of my favorite beaches ever!

Beautiful spot on this patrolled beach but do watch out for rips inside the lagoon when the sea kicks up. Quite safe as you are inside the reef but littlies can be swept off their feet.

Gorgeous swimming area that is so often peaceful and calm. The water is crystal clear and a stunning aqua with white sands rolling up the coastline. Lovely views when walking along the beachside promenade and perfect area for photographers and drone flyers alike.

Great alternative to the main Lagoon.

Even though there's no lifeguard patrol here, it's much shallower than the main mouth of Yanchep Lagoon, and better enclosed from the wider sea (sharks would ground themselves before getting this far up).

There's always a strong current running out to sea throughout the Lagoon, so care is still needed with with younger children. But unlike the main Lagoon, most children should be able to stand up if needed, and you won't get swept out to sea, as you'd pass through the life guarded section on the way out (summer weekends only)!

Car parking and finding your own piece of sand is also never a problem here, unlike the main Lagoon, which is often is packed to capacity.

Adults looking to snorkel /swim would probably be better served by the deeper upper Lagoon though (which can be walked/waded too in a few mins.

Caution is needed walking on the exposed reef, particularly in bigger swells, and people have been killed here in previous years. If you get knocked off ocean -side, you're going to struggle to get back on it without being seriously bruised at best.

Great secluded beach Very quiet even at weekends in peak holidays. It doesn't offer the safe swimming of the nearby Lagoon for children, but still achingly picturesque at dawn or sunset. You can walk for 5 miles south without seeing a single person.

Beautiful Place to relax and unwind after work or anytime for that matter. The Lagoon offers a brilliantly sheltered swimming spot for the kids.

We missed the Yanchep lagoon, ended here, it is not far from each other. There is a big signboard indicating it has no lifeguard, strong current etc.. the car park is spacious, there is a playground, toilet around.
