So, far I don't like anything. My hitch isn't installed. I scheduled an installation and the location told me they don't do installations. Then they gave me the parts and arranged for the install to happen at a different location at a later date. I also received a call from a woman at U-Haul who was aware of the mix-up and told me she would refund the total $180 cost of installation and have me pay an installation fee of $80 at the new location.
I'm still waiting for that refund. As it is right now, my credit card still has the total charge for parts and installation and I'll have to pay another $80 for the installation.
I appreciate the rebate but it means nothing if I never actually get the promised rebate.

I scheduled a trailer hitch for install on our minivan today at the Lexington KY location. I drove over an hour for an appointment only to be told when I got there that the store location has no hitch installer. We scheduled that appointment on Sunday and received a confirmation email about the appointment. The very next day the $638.45 was taken out of our account (not just a hold put on completely deducted). This was two days before the install was even scheduled to be completed. I work in the legal field so I understand putting a hold on someone’s card to make sure they show up, but deducting funds before the scheduled service date is unacceptable. Lawyers don’t even do that if the money is not earned then it is “held” not taken out of the account.
Not to mention the fact why is this store location not being informed of scheduled appointments online. I am sure you have a sophisticated enough system to tell a store when an installation is booked online. Shouldn’t the manager be looking at those installs and calling people to tell them they have no installer and we will have to cancel that appointment and refund the money – BEFORE AN INDIVIDUAL DRIVES OUT OF THEIR WAY FOR A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I understand my money has been refunded however you all and this store continue to put customers needs and appointments last. Your customers and their time should be considered. Why is your website not configured to not allow installations for hitches at this store any longer? I am hopeful that this email reaches enough people that something is done to correct this situation. It is not fair that people are treated this way when a simple phone call could fix all of this – prior to the scheduled appointment. After all in this day and age of technology surely someone is notified of the appointment and somehow either in the system or a telephone call the appointment can be cancelled. Having people continue to show up at a store for installation appointments only to be told when they get there that there is no installer is unacceptable. STRIVE TO BE BETTER UHAUL

I was not going to leave any stars because I am extremely unhapppy that the installation was not done because of no one to do the installation. I was not informed that the technician was not working since the week before my install and no message, call or email. I wasted my time and my friends time and money to be there as we live 60 miles away. I did not get any help in this matter at all. Waited 3 hours to hear back from U-Haul representative, it is now Monday and still no answer from U-Haul to solve this issue.

Literal trash. Worst experience. Had to make multiple trips that total to 7 hours worth of driving time for us. Then on one of those, the person that was supposed to fix the car wasn't even there.

It took the tech nearly five hours to install the hitch and wire my 2012 dodge grand caravan. Even though we had a preset appointment. Then when she came home and two days later we hooked up the trailer to the van the lights do not work on the trailer even though they work with other vehicles. The tech must not have the wiring hooked up properly.

Had to take my truck to the dealership to fix the wiring harness the mechanic messed up. My deck lid would not open. He also almost destroyed the battery dropping a tool across the posts. The manager was nice and is supposed to be getting time reimbursed for the dealership but I am still waiting after I sent in an invoice and proof.

Don't rent or deal with this location. At one point they care about performance and quality of care, now . . . . they couldn't care less about their customers and will treat you in an unprofessional and inconsiderate manner.
Avoid at all costs.
