There is honestly nothing I can say that will do this venue and everyone involved in it any justice! It was the most phenomenal day and every thing was so perfect and unique, you will not find anything like it!

What you get with a wedding day here goes so far beyond what you pay for. Yes you have the setting in all it's natural beauty, the rustic barn and outdoor seating, the activities, the fun! The bird show, the views of the gazebo and pond. And all of this is awesome btw, couldn't fault it, and it created the most memorable wedding day we could have asked for. But the staff! Everyone involved! Not just with the venue itself, but the activities, the falconers, bar team they were all the most amazing people! I could not have done it without them, I made a useless bride at points and they were there to organise, direct and make sure everyone had a great time, I felt so comfortable and reassured in their hands and this is one of the biggest parts of what made our day so special. I am so grateful to them all ❤️

If like us you visit the venue before theres probably not much more I can say, you've seen how gorgeous it is. But for anyone who may need convincing that something outdoor, and so different and non traditional could be it for them, go for it! There will be no regrets afterwards! I can not recommend it enough.

This venue is everything we could have ever dreamed of. From the moment we went to view it, we knew it was the one. The woodland where the ceremony is feels so special and is truly beautiful.

We were very lucky that the sun was shining on our wedding day, but had it not been, the venue had many back-up plans in place for bad weather so don't let this put you off booking it. Your wedding day will be amazing here no matter what the weather.

After the ceremony, we did activities such as archery, axe throwing, segways, rifle shooting, and lawn games (giant chess, croquet, connect 4, etc.) and these were all provided by the venue and included in the package price - which we found to be absolutely amazing - and it made the day feel so unique.

After this, we had a bird of prey show which was such a fantastic experience. They got guests involved and the kids loved it. The staff that delivered it were brilliant!

The barn for the reception was exquisite. It is decorated so beautifully and felt like the most perfect way to celebrate and end a perfect day. The staff were beyond brilliant, even the most peculiar requests from guests were met and they made sure that our guests felt comfortable and well cared for all day. They made our day so special and ensured a smooth transition between all of the sections of the day. They are clearly so experienced at what they do and I could not speak more highly of this place if I tried.

We recently attended a wedding here. There had been some mix up/miscommunication re: dietary requirements so there was no food for us at the wedding (as you can imagine having not eaten since 9am by 4.30pm we were just as hungry as everyone else). It wasn’t just the lack of food it was the poor communication and how we were treated by the waitressing team (one waitress in particular) who clearly did not care at all that we had no food and would not answer any of our questions.

We were eventually given a main meal but it was very poor. We were given very mixed messages about what was in the food. Due to pressure from us and the bride we were provided with a dessert however this was exactly the same dessert as everybody else but chopped up, presented different and placed into a different bowl. Needless to say that at this point we did not trust the caterings team ability to cater to those with dietary requirements/allergies so we chose not to eat it. I left the wedding at this point due to the terrible experience from staff and to go and find myself some food! Shocking experience.

Given the amount of rain lately, the course was in fantastic condition with great quality greens highly recommended

Driving range: decent facility friendly helpful staff. As someone looking to get into golf I was a bit nervous to come but everyone was helpful.

Excellent driving range. Hi-tech bays. On the pricey side (£5 for 30 balls). Auto tees on most of the bays. Can borrow clubs from the club house for no charge. Didn't play the course but looks nice. There's also "adventure golf" which looked fun.

Excellent course for Winter Golf. Shame our 3 ball was held up from 7th hole onwards by a 2 ball who were filming themselves. They were completely oblivious to 3 people stood waiting on each tee or in the fairway waiting for the green to clear, whilst they set up the tripod camera to record every shot.(Ready Golf it wasn't) What should of been a perfect winter Golf day, turned into a slow & cold round. This shouldn't be allowed on the course when it's busy. A highly anticipated golf day ruined by oblivious selfish golfers.

Absolute brilliant night, 1st class service from all the staff, from being greeted to ensuring our food served hot with a smile, to ensuring our ice bucket was topped up, the food was to a very high standard and quality, enjoyed every course, a great DJ who kept the dance floor full throughout the evening, not out first visit but we see improvement year on year, wondering how it's possible, this venue has an eye for detail and an understanding of proples expectations..... Perfect start to Christmas, See you next year.

My family and I tried out the new ‘Mad Hatters’ mini golf on Boxing Day. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend it. It’s ideal for family entertainment and very reasonable.

Great food and good value. The bar team are so warm and friendly. It's definitely worth a visit

Great way to spend an hour. We came for a rare lunch date and enjoyed a coffee whilst playing a few of the games at the driving range.

Had a great day, never been to a wedding quite like it!

Nice crazy golf set up, some holes put up a challenge for most 😅 well worth a visit.
The club house is nicely presented with great food and drink options.

If you want a unique wedding venue that will have your guests stunned, this is the place! Everyone loved the venue, the woodland settings the activities everything from start to finish. Ebony Nic and the rest of the team were amazing, friendly and professional. Everything was in hand and never too much. All our guests said how it was the best wedding ever!

We celebrated our wedding day on the 12/08/2023 in this magical woodland setting. The beautiful woods was such a special place to say “i do” followed perfectly by celebratory drinks at the bandstand by the lake.

Every activity was enjoyed enormously by everyone, from the archery and axe throwing to air rifles and Segway – our younger guests especially enjoying the minigolf, low ropes and lawn games. There were so many things made the day extra special, but the presence of the owls and the falconry display had our Guest, truly transfixed and thoroughly entertained. We loved the surprise reveal of the gorgeous barn for our evening reception – it was the gift that kept on giving! This was truly a wedding day dream come true! This is not just a wedding venue, but a package that was beautifully wrapped up with the most amazing ribbons and bows – the Cheshire woodland wedding team! From the moment we first visited right up until midnight on our wedding day, Ebony literally held our hands all the way! We were made to feel like our wedding day was just so special and needed to be right, not just for us, but for her! Our day ran seamlessly because of the thoughtful care and dedication from ebony and the whole team. Performing here is easily some of the most fun we've ever had as a wedding band! We did get our fill with activities such as archery, segways, axe throwing and more... there is so much to do! You literally can't be bored here. The space is beautiful and the staff so so so helpful. Incredible location for a wedding and you will not be disappointed!

Great local activity. 18 holes. Unfortunately a few broken bits already but didn't affect golf play. Would still recommend.

We had our wedding here recently and can’t thank Ryan enough for everything he did not only on the day but leading up to it. Everything went so smoothly and Ryan helped us have the truly perfect day! No question was too much and always had replies from Ryan as soon as he was available. All our guests loved the venue, saying it was very unique and not like any wedding they’d been too before!!

We had our wedding at Cheshire Woodland Weddings end of April 2023. It was a brave move with good old British weather, but fortunately the weather was kind for us bar a 30 minute shower. It actually added to our day! The team provided everyone with ponchos while we watched the falconry display, the pictures of this are amusing to look back on and it didn’t spoil it one bit.
The team couldn’t do enough. Everything was perfect from start to finish, guests were still talking about our wedding weeks later. Thank you for making our wedding perfect! Jacqui and Dan

A lovely location for an event. I'm not a golfer, so I won't rate the course, but I would definitely recommend it for a wedding or other large gathering. The staff are very friendly.

A wonderful afternoon tea set in the most beautiful building overlooking the golf course. From the moment we stepped Inside the staff could not have been more welcoming and ensured we were well looked after throughout. The selection of teas, sandwiches and cakes were well thought out and they tasted amazing. The outstanding winners for me were the warm homemade scones with cream and Jam, what a wonderful birthday treat this was!

When we saw Cheshire Woodland Wedding Venue online, we knew we wanted to see it in person! Ebony welcomed us to the venue and showed us around- even though it was a grey, chilly day in February, the setting was beautiful and the barn took our breath away! We knew that if we loved it in February, we'd *LOVE* it in June with trees and foliage in full bloom.

We booked in Feb 21 for June 22. Ebony was on hand throughout to answer any questions or queries- nothing was too much trouble! As part of the booking information, we were also given a list of recommended suppliers, which was really helpful and we were delighted with our choice of caterer- Treacle Town Pie Company. A brilliant recommendation! We had a meeting a few months before to run though the day, which was brilliant and helped us ensure all of the finer details were addressed. We felt really confident and excited about our day!

The afternoon before, we were able to go to the barn and add any extra touches. Nic and Ebony were on hand to help if needed. They were great to chat with and really put us at ease! The tables were set up exactly as we'd asked, which was great and made it easier to put out name cards, table names and wedding favours etc.

On the big day, despite it raining heavily the days before and it drizzling that morning, it did not affect our day. The large umbrellas were up in the ceremony area to cover guests during the service and benches dried beforehand. The sun actually made an appearance during our vows and stayed out for the rest of the day! There is a microphone in the ceremony area, with speakers around, so guests can easily hear the ceremony, and music.

We really wanted a venue where our loved ones could have fun. We wanted something different and somewhere where guests could join in and have the option to sit inside or outside. Cheshire Woodland Wedding Venue has it all!! Guests enjoyed archery, air rifle shooting, segway ride and birds of prey - these activities were mannned and the staff were superb! Other activities include low ropes, mini golf and lawn games. It was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves! During this time, our guests enjoyed a welcome drink from the gorgeous woodland bar, which was then available to buy drinks from during the activities. The bar staff were wonderful- they took orders and delivered to guests during the activity time which was brilliant and meant that there was never any queues. We also hired the sweet cart on offer and provided our own sweets, this went down a storm! We'd put together a playlist, this was played during the activities and the meal through the PA system.

The falconry show was excellent! This is a must and a great way to bring guests back together before entering the barn! The staff are brilliant!! So knowledgeable and it certainly brought more laughter to the day with audience participation.

The barn - wow!! Absolutely stunning! A truly magical set up! It was everything we'd hoped for and more! It was great that we could have some tables of benches and some with chairs to ensure comfort for all guests. The couch area is also a perfect touch for those wanting to have a relax and chat (or nap as my Grandpa did!) after the meal. Guests also enjoyed the outside seating area, with fire pits. We provided skewers and marshmallows as wedding favours and these were well used! From day to night, it really is a beautiful setting. We had a DJ and band to entertain guests during the evening reception. There is plenty of space on the dance floor and again, the option to sit inside or outside which suited us and our guests perfectly. During the evening, everywhere looked extra magical with the beautiful fairy lights. The woodland area was also lit up and I know a few guests enjoyed and evening walk and commented on the stunning surroundings.

We would highly recommend Cheshire Woodland Wedding Venue- it truly is a wonderful place to hold your special day. The staff are excellent, the facilities are brilliant and the setting is stunning. What more could you ask for?!

Went there on a dining event. The dining hall they had for us was very spacious and included a very big reception area. The food presentation was absolutely immaculate and the quality of the ingredients trickled through into the taste. I had beef and it was very succulent and not at all chewy. I am yet to try the golf course however, as golf courses go, it looked amazing.

My wife and I had our wedding at Delamere Events in summer of 2021. It had initially been planned for 2020 and Ryan was very accommodating when it had to be rescheduled due to COVID.

The venue itself is stunning and an ideal location for an outdoor wedding. There were many picturesque options for the ceremony, reception and photos so it was great to have the whole day there. The flexibility of this type of venue ensured that we were able to create exactly the sort of day we wanted.

When it came to organising our day Ryan was incredibly helpful in terms of organising all he could on his end and recommending vendors that he had worked with in the past. He then coordinated with all of our vendors ahead of the wedding to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible on the day. On the big day all of the staff present did a fantastic job of ensuring everything went off to perfection and we're very hospitable and welcoming to all of the guests.

Former place of biggest Cistercian abbey in British Isles, unfortunately torn down during harsh Edwardian times. Today golf club and beautiful wedding venue with good looking restaurant. For public only dirty external table full of pigeon's excrements.. but place overally really charming.

Beautiful 9 hole course. Each hole very individual and challenging. Great views. Clubhouse and catering is of a very high standard. One of the biggest and well stocked Pro shops I have seen too.

5 stars is not enough for this incredible venue. We hired Delamere events as the stunning backdrop for our wedding and it was perfect in every way possible. From the first time we met Ryan at an open day up to the day itself, he has been so helpful, nothing was too much to ask. He was especially wonderful helping us move our original date due to the pandemic. On the day, he and his team were incredible, helping finish the set up on the morning, moving furniture around for us, co-ordinating suppliers. Everything ran seamlessly. Our guests have all been raving about what an amazing day it was. We can’t thank you enough.

Working here is an absolute dream! We performed at a works party earlier this year and it's safe to say it's been one of our best experiences as a live party band. Thanks to Ryan for being a legend throughout and looking after us whilst we rocked out! The space is awesome, thank you for having us.

Fabulous historic Abbey. Brilliant venue for weddings / christenings etc. Food is amazing. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

After a long search for an outdoor venue for the festival wedding we've dreamed of we decided on having it at the beautiful Cherry Orchard Lake near Delamere Forest. And what a good decision it was! The site is beautiful and the help from Ryan and the staff is absolutely invaluable, nothing was too much to ask and they tried to help in any way they could, and we had many many requests for them to make our day our perfect day! Ryan is a great guy and his sense of humour was similar to ours so the whole process from deciding to get married there to 18 months later and setting up the tipis and our crazy festival was a lot of fun and never a chore!

In the end the weather played ball and we had literally the best day of our lives!! The site looked amazing decked out with festival flags which Ryan helped us install, we had a sign our friend made on the embankment which looked great, and we managed to turn up in a helicopter to the massive surprise of all our guests!! It wasn't that expensive either I highly recommend it, what a way to get revved up for your big day!!
The day and night all went so well, the band set up outside due to the amazing weather then DJs inside to finish off, the whole time Ryan and his staff were run off their feet looking after all our family and friends, even when we drank them dry they still conjured up supplies from somewhere to make sure everyone continued to enjoy themselves. I would highly recommend having your wedding / event at Delamere Events as I can guarantee they will ensure your day is just as special as ours was! Bravo to a job very well done!
