The course is great. Nice place. But felt like I was racially profiled there. My friend(American), who goes there a lot, was a bit confused when we had to show some ID because he never had to once, but the one time I came along we did. I look above the age of 16 with facial hair and everything. Then when it came to renting the golf cart, we were charged extra than the other fellow golfers. Not just that, we both had to pay extra. Which is very disappointing since he told me what he usually pays for is way cheaper. When going to the golf course it didn’t feel right, like having people starring at us or maybe just me. Maybe it would have been different if he just went in there by himself. Won’t be coming back.
Stellar course, great staff and service!! I had a blast here and will be playing again shortly!!
We play today we wait every hole and infront of us 5some whatta. For $92 its not worthed. And as soon as we arrived we order a hotdog the snack bar person said its not ready. Then we make our turn exactly the same she said its not ready.
TL;DR: Okay course; starter was less than helpful; not particularly scenic or anything; Expensive.

Overview:
~Checking in was no problem; tee time was booked online ($95/person: a little expensive for what it is imo)
~Range balls are separate
~Carts are around, but need to check with starter for which one to load our stuff into
~Starter interaction was less than ideal. I came out after checking in, and went to load a cart. Starter was not at the podium (which had a tip jar?), but was on his phone and sitting next to the podium facing away from the carts. When I asked if I can load any cart, I hear him say "No", which is fine, but took a minute to finish his game and then get up to give me a key. He pointed at the cart I should use, and I went and loaded it myself (what's the tip jar for, if not going to be helpful).
~Cart had a cooler on it, but no ice in it
~We had about 20ish minutes before our tee time, so we were trying to rush to warm up, but the starter said "You guys have plenty of time"
~We started warming up and ~12 minutes in, the starter begins yelling our name to tell us to start our round
~Starter did not tell us pin position or anything, but found the info on a board
~The score cards do not have a good view of the greens/pin positions, so just winged it

COURSE:
~Tee boxes were nice and flat
~There weren't many scenic or particularly nice holes, but overall it was well maintained
~Bathroom available after hole 4 and 8 (same bathroom/portapoddy)
~You loop back to the clubhouse at the run and the 15th tee is next to the clubhouse)

Overall, it's an okay course, but for the price point, I'm not surprised that the course was not that busy on a Sunday during peak season.
I had a very unpleasant experience this Wednesday. I invited my co-workers to play because I had a good opinion of this golf course. During our time at one of the holes, suddenly a ball from the team behind us flew over our heads. It seemed to be intentional because they were playing in a clearly visible area where they could see us. Since this can be a dangerous act, one of my coworkers complained to the marshal. However, when he arrived to the scene, rather than reprimanding the back team, he came to us first and asked why we were playing slow when the front hole was empty. He spoke in a condescending tone as if we were to blame for the back team's actions. To be clear, we were not playing slow. When we got to the next hole, we had to wait for the front team, so we did not do anything to warrant such a response from the marshal. This experience makes me think twice about ever coming back to this golf course.
Played Blue Ridge Shadows for the first time yesterday. Drove down from Central Pennsylvania with 7 other guys to play some winter golf. The 3 hour+ drive was well worth it. Loved the course layout and undulations in the greens and fairways. Will be back!!!
Attended a Christmas function. Food was excellent, especially for a buffet. Staff was on top of their game, refilling items and clearing guests' plates in a timely manner.
One of the best golf courses i ever played. Well maintained and scenic. Some holes are very challenging but with proper course management, you'll do well. Can't wait to play here again.
Very friendly staff, Great course layout, Great condition, especially considering the conditions and time of year.
The course itself is nice, the management was all over the place.

To start, we went go get our cart and the person managing them was visually upset and confused already. We asked which cart we are assigned and, at first, he just gave me the pointer finger (signalling please wait) which was rude. Then, they give us a number of a cart that was already driving off.

Secondly, they allowed someone who booked a tee time at a completely different club house to play their tee time here but then they got upset when we were moving too slow. We finished the hole we were "moving slow" on and at the following hole we still had to wait for the next group in front of us finish anyways.....

How is it our fault that they allowed someone to play here that didn't even have a tee time here and get upset that we are moving slow...? We had to wait for them to start first. We were already 10 minutes behind our tee time when we were at hole 1. The group behind us pull up to hole 1 before we could even start... what a mess.

Doubtful that I will be returning. Unfortunate because I am only 10 minutes from this course but I would rather go to a course that doesn't blame you for their own mistake.
Course was in great shape, and the greens were rolling fast!
Was just there this past weekend, nice setting and course in good shape. But other than the golf, the chili is the best I've had in years. Would make the 1.5 hour trip just for the Chili.
Blue Ridge Shadows is very well-kept with great staff. The bartender Maren was very personable and kind. I will be coming back!
We had an outing with 28 players and they were very accommodating...the decks were redone with composition flooring...vast improvement.
Great shape considering the insane drought we have been experiencing. Friendly staff at the pro shop. Will play again soon. Probably my favorite course around. Wish I lived closer.
We only practiced on the driving range and the putting green. Really nice place! Beautiful area. Next time we'll definitely play a round.
The course is well kept and is challenging, however if you are looking for ANY type of service in the clubhouse restaurant you won’t get it. Walked in after 18 holes to a blonde “employee” sitting on her phone in the middle of the lobby and she was very bothered when I asked to see a menu. When I tried to order she told me they were out of almost everything. I left immediately, unfortunately the good golf course received 2 stars from me personally due to my awful experience in the clubhouse restaurant. Great place if you just want to golf and leave. Not for a roundabout good time
There are three 9s at Shenandoah and they just added 36 more right next door. The course has great mountain and valley views and was in great shape! Although not overly long, it is still a challenge with tree lined fairways, doglegs, and several blind shots. Highly recommend!
This was our third year in a row at Blue Ridge Shadow. We come here on a golf package. What a fantastic time and golf course. Blane the Starter is great at his job and Brian inside is a hard worker making sure you are satisfied with everything. We were planning our next year trip on the way home . can't wait to play here again.
Awesome staff, great layout, good conditions, tough course. Some blind hilly shots so keep an eye on your ball. Shared green was a nice feature.
Great place to play golf. Va German Shepherd Rescue had their 15th annual golf tournament today. The manager Brian Jones and staff are the best
For our wedding, my husband and I were looking for a full service venue with great food, flexibility to personalize, and views of the mountains. We found that and so much more at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. The staff are professional, kind, and understanding. When we had to postpone just two weeks away from our original date because of COVID, they were so understanding. From booking, venue tours, event setup, and coordinating execution on the day of, Janet Maucione (Events & Catering Coordinator) was professional, responded quickly to my questions, and truly cared about our vision for the wedding day. When any minor hiccups arose, she was quick to help us find a solution. Whenever I came up with a new idea, it was never no - just how can we make that happen. I'm so glad that we were able to finally get married at SVGC on June 19, 2021.

The staff were friendly and attentive. They worked well with my other vendors. The views of the mountains are gorgeous! Guests are still raving about the portions and taste of the food. Being able to stay onsite the night before and of the wedding was so convenient. My husband, the groomsmen, and other family members also loved being able to golf the day of the wedding. The course is so well cared for!

This is a premiere venue in the Shenandoah Valley for anyone looking for their dream wedding with mountain views, great food and drinks, and an awesome event team that cares about YOUR day.

Great and challenging. Front 9 alot of woods back alot of water watch out for 10 an 18 your eyes can be deceiving. Even with a range finder I'll definitely be back.
They hosted the "unofficial" Senior prom for the 2020 seniors for both High Schools. Janet and her assistant (event staff) working there were amazing and allowed volunteers to help with decorating, serving, and clean up to help save money.
I believe everyone had fun. It was a beautiful evening and Shenandoah Valley Golf Club made it great! Thank you😊💗
