You can't describe their food like other Chinese restaurants. They cook for local clients, not what a normal Chinese food quality is or should taste like.
we got seat it by a waiter and waited for about 15 mins. 2 couples came after us and they took their order right away. we waited for another 10 mins and the waiter never came to take our order . we left disappointed of the bad service today.

My family and I came here and me and my dad ordered the same thing but for some reason my food was burnt and full of little black spots, I felt discriminated and uncomfortable eating it so I didn't. I wonder if it's because I'm covered in tattoos (I was the only one with tattoos and the women that work there were just looking at me over an over and talking to each other in their native language) I'm pregnant and was craving what I ordered but I wasn't able to eat it because it was unappetizing and felt paranoid because my food looked different to my dad's considering we order the same item. I left sad and unhappy. They didn't care and made up some excuses when I mentioned it. I didn't eat the food and probably won't go back. Plus it's way too expensive to be dealing with that. My food was burnt and not worth it.

And yes there might be many "good reviews" but if you look through it not every gets a good service, let's me know they do judge and discriminate and choose who they do and don't tend well. SAD. If it was truly a great place: food and service then everyone would be happy to had come here. Sucks.

Got the ginger fish soup, it was very tasty. Service was quick too, even though there was only 1 server. Would definitely come back.
It’s a little hole in the wall but nice and clean on the inside.

They are very friendly (first and second from left) + there are great vegetarian options upon request!!
I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I LOVE their food. Do yourself a favor and order the turmeric fish noodle dish. They also have sardines and more than one vegan selection - jackfruit as well as tofu or vegetables. The understated space full of natural light is a nice change from the normal strip mall no ambiance feel of most quality Vietnamese places. Bahn mi is fine, good, but the other dishes rule.
We have eaten here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed the food. We found the service to be fairly middling and indifferent but not bad or rude. Takeout is our preferred method now.

My chicken was pretty bad. Dry and rank. Couldn’t stomach more than a bite. Put me off. A bummer. I used to dig this place.
What an AMAZING place!!!! I want to be here all the time!! #23 on the menu is totally delicious and the pho #30 wow!!! Incredible flavors, clean, fresh, great size!!! 10/10 totally recommend 🍜
Favorite lunch spot in Atwater. Beautiful space, great to dine indoors or outdoors, food is healthy and fresh and delicious. Best of the three Vietnamese restaurants on Glendale Blvd by far. I'm an especially big fan of their Bún.

Food is alright and service is good. Prices are kind of expensive but it's expected because of the location. Speaking of location, what's up with the homeless people here? I saw a black male homeless person acting weirdly. Feels unsafe. Had to dock stars because of this issue.

Food-7. Interior-5 Value-5

We walked in knowing fully that we are at Atwater Village area so sub-par food value is to be expected. The turmeric fish noodle, supposed to be the most popular noodle here, was good but it was so insubstantial that I was hungry again by the time we drove home.

Glad we tried it and cross this place off our list.

Absolutely horrible meal. We both hated it. We ate one bite and said nope. Definitely not like any "Pho" we've ever had. To make it even worse when we said how bad it was, they didn't care, and we had to pay just shy of $50? I'd go out of my way to tell people not to eat here.

I was blown away! best food ive had in LA. the broccoli was my first bite. mind blowing flavor. not very salty just flavor, smokey, rich, little sweet, meaty- but i ordered a vegetarian dish. i cant wait to come back and try more. I asked for recommendations, and i got many good options
Oxtail Pho is where it’s at, generous portions and flavorful broth. Always leave here full. Food is excellent. Ambience is good. Service leaves for more to be desired but it’s a noodle bar not a tasting course. Yes it’s a little pricey, but so are the other 2 Vietnamese joints in Atwater. Hours or kind of inconsistent, also if you show up ~30 minute before they close they won’t seat you and only do takeout, unless you insist that you can down a bowl in 10 min.

Delicious large portions reasonably priced nice clean place. I like the atmosphere however I am crazy about clear broth and piping hot noodles soup. Overall I recommended.
My coworkers and I went a few weeks ago. Pho was good except for the fact that three bowls + one coffee cost $75. They also charge an 18% service fee but service is kind of meh. Our meal took over 30 minutes to come out (for pho?). As I said the pho wasn’t bad but for $16+ a bowl it should have been incredible. Not a lot of meat or noodles.
Really cute Pho place in Atwater! It’s refreshing to have a pho place here and the atmosphere is beautiful. I had the shrimp pho to go and it was clean, tasty and healthy. I’ll definitely go again.

I found this place while looking for a nearby place that sells pho and went as soon as they opened at 5pm for dinner. You have to street park with paid meters and the restaurant is a bit difficult to find in the dark due to no obvious sign and there's a small decal on the glass entrance. Two of our families got seated and I thought the place was extremely bare in terms of decor. If you asked me what kind of genre of food they might sell based on the inside, I'd have no clue, ha.

Anyway, we got the menu and I was shocked to see a beef pho selling for $20.45 and all other dishes being at least $16. As an Asian, I've been to countless pho/Viet restaurants and prices are usually half of what you'd find here. I suppose Atwater Village area is too hip for my wallet. I ended up ordering that pho and a chicken rice dish. With one waiter handling both dine-in and take-out customers, we waited 20 min ish to get the food while the togo folks seemed to get their food faster. The pho was actually tasty and warm with good amount of beef. The rice dish was pretty decent, but I thought it was slightly bland.

So after +40 dollars for two dishes and some for parking meter, I came out with my hunger satisfied but I still think it's too pricey compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. By the time we left, there were quite many customers dining in, but at first, it was dead silent without any music and waiting for food felt a bit longer. At least the food was tasty, enjoy!
Comfortable and cozy.
Tasteful art.
Lots of wooden furniture.
Nice and high ceilings with giant lanterns for chandeliers.
Giant bar counter surrounding main kitchen so you can see how your food is prepared.
Great location right in the middle of our favorite cafes and bars in Atwater Village.
Simple menu - effective and to the point.
Was busy on 10/24/21 at 2:15 PM. Please be patient with them; the business send to be new and they were short staffed.

We both got noodle salads. Really tastey and filling. I got the #23: spring rolls, lemongrass steak, shrimp. She got the #24: vegetarian spring rolls.
Delicious comforting Pho in an unfussy and immaculate space. The bowl was huge and the ingredients were super fresh. Will be back!

I go here for the shrimp/steak rolls (#3d) - amazing. The steak is lean and tender and the flavor combo when paired with the shrimp is incredible. Served with a side of fish sauce, these Vietnamese rolls are the best I've had anywhere.

#15 Bun (grilled chicken, grilled shrimp & egg roll) and #17 Bun (grilled pork) served over cold vermicelli rice noodles are also highly recommended.

Cash only on Sunday - weird.

The food and service was incredible. The couple there that evening were so friendly and sweet. Definitely a great spot for families to hangout and dine too. We'll be going back for sure! So happy that we found this cute place.
Very good. Tumeric fish and noodles was Great. A little dill was a surprise. Mild flavors, well executed. The pho is also very good. Best lunch I've had for awhile.

Truly the best of the best! The crown jewel of Los Angeles. This food is as good as it gets. I have been coming here for over 30 years, and it is still going strong. The food is great. The prices are unbeatable. I love the soups, sandwiches, Chinese, Vietnamese, noodles, rice, chicken, beef, pork, vegetables, and on and on. The rare beef and beef ball pho is awesome and huge. I cannot possibly finish it in one sitting. Beef with broccoli has a lot of broccoli and beef with a just right amount of sauce. The pork chops are perfectly seasoned and cooked. I don't know how they make them so tender and lean. The chop suey combination here is not too thick in sauce, different from most other places where they also put eggs. There is plenty of shrimps, chicken, and beef in it along with a nice portion of vegetables. Mixed vegetables was very tasty especially when I asked for no salt in it. The sweet and sour chicken was my kids favorite. They fought up to the last piece. My personal favorite was mapo tofu, which had ground beef. It was nice when I mixed it with rice. Lemonade and Thai Ice tea we're freshly made. I just had hot tea, which quenched thirst as well as dissolved all oil in the stir fried food. This place is a very special place indeed. I pray that it will be around for at least another three decades. No place can beat the price, food, and service. The servers may not speak English well, but they are nice enough, being not pretentious or stuffy. For what you pay, the service here is more than good enough. The main server guy with a permanent smile on his face is amazing! Love it!
