Tom yum soup perfectly spicy and delicate. Green curry was spectacular. Eggplant was beautifully prepared, both texture and flavor! Standard (medium) was not especially spicy, but just left room for the rest of the flavors to shine. I only mention it, if you like spicy, you might want to ask for it. Hands down my new favorite Thai place.
Food was great, not the best customer, it wasn't a very warm welcoming but if you are in the area and want Thai food to take out , this is the spot or maybe I just went in at their down time..
My friend and I stopped there after our spa day and we were greeted first by the host who was …somewhat helpful. My friend and I went to sit at the bar and when we were ready to order, we were told we had to walk back to the host stand to do so. First red flag. We waited for our food and while waiting, an employee walked out and was entirely rude to us for the rest of our visit. He first asked us why did we get a to go order and sit at the bar. It was during lunch and there were no other customers at the time. Definitely didn’t think it would be a big deal. He rolled his eyes and walked back to the kitchen. The same employee then walks back out and I asked for some additional sauce for the spring rolls I ordered. I offered to pay and he flatly said no and walked away. Honestly had we not paid beforehand, we would’ve just left. Another couple walked in who was not black and that very same employee had an entirely different attitude towards them. He was welcoming and warm when they walked in. I hate bringing race into it, however I’ve seen a few other reviews from black patrons and it seems to be a pattern. While the food was decent, you can get better Thai food with far superior service for ALL elsewhere. I would NEVER recommend this place. Do better de
I visited this place after leaving the spa today, I do not recommend this place for those of color ( black patrons). I wish I would have looked at the previous review before spending my money. The food was pretty good, however the blatant racism was felt from the moment we walked in the door. The owner/cook was very rude and mean and clearly did not want us patronizing in his restaurant. We ordered our food to go, however we decided to eat at the bar once the food came out. The restaurant was empty er were the only customers. The rude owner came out and said next time you need to dine in. He was very nasty! My friend asked him for an additional sauce and he told her no tolled his eyes and went to the back, I will never ever eat there again and if you are black you should not spend your money there.

Not impressed, and quite honestly disappointed. Ok. So there’s free parking but that’s probably the highlight. We were greeted pleasantly and seated but after that I feel service went dry. I will say the ambience is very nice but the food did not cut it, and for the price I expected much better. My wife’s $19 curry was more of a soup (and a small one at that) with essentially no meat. We counted 2 tiny pieces of red bell pepper for vegetables. She was extremely disappointed. My recommended galae noodles were nothing to boast about. For appetizers we got the garden herb rolls, which were just vegetables rolled in rice wraps. To be fair, that’s what showed on the menu so I can’t complain.

I always order it from here when I'm working at the national harbor. The takeout is usually very good but it definitely can't beat eating it in the restaurant. Portions are super reasonable for the price given the area and there's a lot of choices. It's a little bit more upscale with fancy matching plates etc., and the decor is very nice. They have a lot of plants which I really liked. They have a bar area and serve alcohol as well. There's a tiny little parking lot that's reserved for customers in that area so it shouldn't be too difficult to find parking since there's also street parking in a parking garage.

Galae Thai is a hidden gem! The food is delicious and the service is always friendly and fast. My favorite is the Panang Curry with seafood. The Thai iced tea is fantastic.

A decent Thai restaurant in the Alexandria area for dinner on a Wednesday evening with my cousin. The place had only a few occupied tables when we arrived. While waiting for my cousin, I ordered the Veggie Spring Rolls as an appetizer. I appreciated that the rolls were cut in half, making them easy to enjoy without being too hot. The adult beverages were exceptionally delicious, but it's worth noting that there are no soda refills and only one refill allowed for iced tea.

The dinner plates didn't disappoint in terms of portion size; they could easily have been split for two people. However, I experienced swollen fingers the next day due to the sodium content, so I recommend drinking plenty of water before bed if you have a similar issue.

The service was attentive with two servers on the floor, and I didn't have to ask once for a water refill, indicating their attentiveness.
This hole in the wall That Food is excellent! A must try...
A fantastic restaurant nestled at the corner of Fairfax & King Street. The menu offers a variety of entrees, sushi, and noodle/tai bowls. The staff is amicable, and the service is quick! Pictured: Beef curry pad Thai, shrimp fried rice, and fried vegetable egg rolls.

I came in for the first time for lunch and first thing I have to say is that this restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside. I was like one of the first customers I ordered and they sat me at the bar. I ordered to go I got the calamari and Pad eggplant with chicken, extra spicy. The food was delicious and nice and hot when I got it. The only thing I didn’t like was the very small portions, I didn’t get like a lunch special I got a meal and appetizer. But I think I would come here again to dine in.

Delish. 2 cutlets for the Katsu. Expert sushi. Top notch.
Ordered two starters, “sushi for 2”, some scampi’s + a bottle of Kung Fun Girl Riesling (just had to🥷😄) (and yes that was a lot of food!!😅)
Swift service and food came out in a rapid speed. Could have done without the soup and salad in the sushi menu for two, but the sushi it self was amazingly good and well presented!
Also think it’s fairly priced considering the location and the quality of the food. 👌
Maybe not the most fancy place, but with a good view over the sushi bar/kitchen.
Would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back some day.

Strategically located in front of the Old Town Farmer Market, we tried the sushi menu from this resto. We ordered 4 sushi rolls and love the presentation of the sushi in one big plate. The price is also reasonable. We will come back again to try the lunch menu
Very flavorful thai food. Friendly staff welcomes you as soon as you arrive. I ordered tofu veggies two days in a row and was impressed! Good flavor, fresh veggies. A little on the pricey side for Thai but definitely tasty🙂

What a nice place. Went on a Saturday evening. We were greeted promptly. No wait so we were seated right away. Our waiter Rei was a nice young man that took care of us.
Decent menu with a range of options. Price range from $15 and up. Appetizers about $8.
Food was great. Well prepared, great presentation and it was nice and hot.
Atmosphere was nice. Traditional Thai decor with statues and lowly lit. Definitely recommend this place.

First time experiencing this Thai restaurant and it was good. Food - tasty and prompt too. I would probably try something different if I went back because they had a good selection of delicious items to choose. Service was professional and nice. Atmosphere- I honestly the hard chairs sent the message of eat and get out. Yeah, that wasn’t comfortable at all. Also, the table needs some life on top because it’s almost like a dining hall vibe currently. Overall, I would recommend this place.
Love the freshness of the fish here! All the dishes we had from the Kani salad to the soup and the sushi were flavorful and delicious. There were quite a few customers when we sat down at dinner time, but the staff were still very attentive and quick to respond to our needs. Our food came out pretty fast after we ordered and was very enjoyable. A true gem on King Street and one of our favorite places to eat at with lots of options to choose from. Drop by Kisso when you have a chance, you won't be disappointed!

So, the family wanted sushi really bad and we found this place which I'm glad we did. The service was great. The servers came over to assist me with opening my soda. But they also made sure we were taken care of even if it wasn't our servers.

So, we had a lot of food (took videos and can't upload them). All of the food was delicious and fresh. They have nice size portions. My wife got the soup forgot which one and she was so excited. She got the angry dragon roll which she truly enjoyed. My oldest got a sushi special roll and he said it was good. The little one which sushi is his favorite ordered the shrimp tempura and almost ate all 16 pieces there until I told him enough lol. I got the scallops roll and it was Devine , the calamari and the crab Rangoon were both amazingly cooked.

This place was nice and clean. I like how they cleaned up immediately after someone left the table but what caught my eye was that they swept each time customers leave. Some places forgets about the floor and the seats so that's an extra 20 points.
The food was amazing! I would have given a 5-star rating but the venue had a bit of a fast food feel for the price you pay. The service was excellent as well. Had a very nice conversation with our server about Thailand. We were just in Thailand a few weeks ago so I wanted to try their Kao Soi Kai and it did not disappoint. A bit pricey but we'll be back.
We ordered from Uber Eats and it is terrible! This is some of the worst Thai food I've had! The Tom Yum soup looks like chicken soup with a little bit of sourness, but no spiciness. The papaya salad has no spiciness.

The worst part is that they're serving chicken thighs instead of chicken breast. That is completely unacceptable! The chicken thigh texture feels like it's been frozen. Absolutely disgusting!

The chicken noodles were the best thing out of our $90 order.
The duck rolls were great and so was the Kua Gai (Stir fried noodles with chicken, egg and green onions). My friend had Tom Kha soup, which he enjoyed.
I ordered the crispy pork belly with Chili Basil. This dish was a bit of a disappointment. The pork belly was overcooked and pretty tough. I doubt I would order it again.
