Went tonight for the first time and am so glad we did! Very friendly service, loved the spinach dumplings & tofu banh mi. Looking forward go going back!
Went for Friday lunch. Pretty busy in there. Got the lunch special deal which is $14 per pho and a small salad. Great taste! Ingredients are fresh! And the space is cute and clean.
The food & drinks were awesome, everything came out quick, & the prices were low. Had a great experience will be coming again.
I like Thai food & i like this place i like to come with out my work sometimes with my friends because this place is so nice & clean food so good went i come my tummy so full & great 🤤🤤
So the food is ok, nothing special. The restaurant itself doesn’t seem clean, almost neglected to be honest. The most disturbing part was that the service was painfully slow.. got here 18:45, waited to be seated at 19:10, entres started arriving at the table at 20:48. 5-7 minutes apart… then my plate of pad cee woo was said ran out of wide noodles… 🤦♀️ I refused and shared my wife’s plate (don’t have time for a sleepover)… We asked the waiter if they could comp some of our sit-down, waiter was stuttering, giving us excuses about one chef / one pan.. suggested to perhaps comp few soda cans… we weren’t responsive to that offer much.. at the end we got 10% discount. Mind you, it’s 21:24 and we’re still waiting for our check.. I don’t think they should have a sit-down restaurant, they don’t handle it well. Takeout and cheaper should be the guideline here.

i'm so sorry but i was disappointed. i've ordered 3 times hoping for better, but no luck... - their pad thai lacks flavor, like literally, it has spices (red pepper) but minimal sauce, fish bladder soup also feels like water with fish bladder. The only thing noteworthy were dumplings. The location is more catering for pick up, rather than sit down. I had such high hopes... I will be happy to update if it changes...
We had dinner here the other day and we absolutely loved it! i had chicken pho, my husband had pho beef, i had a vietnamese coffee (fantastic) and we had warm tapioca for dessert (perfect for sharing and also delicious) will def recommend this place and we will def visit again to try more dishes!

This restaurant has been here for decades, I believe. I have had dinners here with my cousin who lives nearby and since moving to the neighborhood, have had delivery and just recently a quick stop for lunch. Other than one incident with delivery where my hainan chicken dish wasn’t very good (too much chicken fat and rice was not tender), their food here is so flavorful, delicious and on point. The curry with the roti was perfect, the roti itself all haphazardly folded up like some mad genius’ art project. The owners/workers are incredibly nice and seem to always be in good spirits and will make you feel like family (the gentleman singing along with the music slightly off key is like one’s comedic uncle). I’ll give delivery a try again eventually since it is a bit of a walk for me (no problem when the weather is good) but I’m glad that this place is still around and endured the test of time (Covid, etc).
Food is delicious, and they offer a very reasonable lunch special.
I like this little place, the food is authentic, Staff/owner is really nice. It is a little hard to find parking during the day, and place needs a bit of an upkeep. Still, I think it's worth checking it out.
The noodles is very bland, undercooked and horrible (pls do NOT order noodles). Lost my appetite after eating in this restaurant. Won’t ever come back again
Went on Sunday for lunch. The food was delicious. Home made Roti Canal was very good, not like the circle frozen one.
I usually order the Basil Fried Rice which you can ask to be spicy or not. So good and always fresh vegetables. The Thai iced tea is also a must to cool things down.
Pork spring rolls was the best thing we had. The pho broth was okay but the meat was a little questionable. The basil ginger chicken clay pot was good but it is exactly what it sounds like. Thai iced tea was solid, the right amount of tea taste.
I've eaten here twice. The first time, I ordered a noodle dish and just recently I had a seafood soup. I really liked the food both times. During the most recent meal, I ordered the veggie spring rolls and veggie dumplings as appetizers to share with a family member; they were delicious as well!
This has been my favorite place to go for years; I come here almost every time I visit New York. The food is amazing, and very reasonably priced. Ordering drinks, appetizer and meals for two people usually is around $50.
The service is very quick, no chatting.
I love the outside seating's they have, although it gets extremely hot during the summer time, the inside is a little too dark for my personal liking.
Quail eggs, Classic Banh Mi and Vietnamese iced coffee are my favorites! Pho is very good as well.

Me and friends like to come this thai restaurant because so nice place clean The atmosphere of the shop is suitable for meeting and talking.waiter so friendly. We order penut sauce chicken, duck curry and lard na veggies my food come on beautiful plate we are enjoy my food with red wine talking so long in here. So we still come here and try all food of them don’t care about C grade because we think they gone make everything clean and safe for us and all customers. 👍👍👍
I absolutely love this place! Authentic Malaysian food and very hospitable staff. It's a great place to stop in anytime for a meal.
What a lovely little restaurant with nice staff! The Malaysian ice tea and crispy squid were delicious!!! The noodles were good too, but I had thought they were crispy pan-fried noodles, so I was a little confused at first. Still decent though!
Was my first time at the restaurant, the food was regular but had to wait for a long time, just one waiter was on the restaurant, I will recommend a couple of things on this place that must change, like food, more staff, restaurant decorations and attention with the customers…
Very cute store with good Thai food except for the pho. The pho soup is good and the noodle, but I don't like the pho toppings. We got the Super Bowl wish that is easily shared for 2. For me, pho and tripe and tendon are a staple, and they dont have a tripe or tendon. Everything else is very delicious - especially the chicken wings! Their sause is so addictive that it makes me want a whole container full of it. The service is good, and the atmosphere is casual.
When we want good Thai food, we usually eat here at Star Siam.The service and food was excellent. The server recommendations for beverages were excellent. If you like Thai food, I highly recommend this restaurant. This is a family business and they made us feel very comfortable. The restaurant were not very crowded in sitting dining but was very busy with take out orders . We were full and very satisfied. I am definitely going back. The kids enjoyed their meal. We had to drive around a few times to find meter parking nearby the restaurant.
Dined indoor here for the first time. I'm vegan so I only ordered things with tofu in them. This place has my favorite bánh mì in NYC, I highly recommend trying that. I also had the stone bowl this time, it had a slightly sweet and savory flavor that I did enjoy, but I don't think it was as rich as some other options like the pho or bánh mì sandwiches. The service was perfect. The place is a bit small inside, and expect a lot of traffic because it's pretty popular. I will probably continue to take my bánh mì sandwiches to go and eat them at Gantry but this place is definitely worth dining in if you can find a table
