You gotta give FLO a try...High quality Japanese cuisine, attentive service with inspired plating
Uni and sweet shrimp is very fresh, long list of sake 🍶 to choose and pair with the food, great and romantic place for couple.
I want to give 3.5 stars. The food is overpriced for the available dishes but of decent quality. I'm no Japanese food expert, but I've had better Japanese food at other places for a lower price. The tamago was good but a little too sweet. The mango mochi tasted a bit artificial. However, the sushi roll was really good. It's not a place for regular folks like me (could see the crowd was rich).
Please stop charging extra for fresh Wasabi and Gluten free Soy Sauce. Seriously?! That is Nickel and Dime League. The ONLY Restaurant I have EVER been to that charges extra for Gluten free Soy Sauce. Lol. It doesn’t cost any more than regular Soy. Should I bring some of my own next time? And our Waiter was too embarrassed to tell us about the extra charges. I drop $200 every time we go there, at the least. That extra charge takes the Classy right out of the scenario and alone is enough to by pass Flo for awhile. Never anything close to this happens at ANY of the other Sushi places. SMH. Great Sushi, but really? Lol.

My fiancé introduced me to this place a few months ago and I am addicted! It’s hard to eat at other sushi places now especially places like Japponessa because the quality here is unmatched! You can taste it in the food and the way they prepare it. Every roll I have tried has been amazing. The only Rolls I don’t try is crab because that’s not my favorite seafood. The best one is the seared salmon tempura shrimp roll. The nigiri is very good and high quality. You get the value of what you pay for! The edamame is amazing and the calamari is 1,000/100. I’m someone who loves discovering good calamari and this is by far the best I’ve had in Washington so far. My fiancé and I have to each get our own orders because it’s so good! The black cod is also phenomenal, and of course their Miso soup is 10/10. I encourage you to try this place out! I believe it’s family owned, they are very nice and welcoming and the food is amazing! Dine in or Take Out , the food is always great
Omakase course was meh... Had better courses for the price.
The first course was really good. From the presentation to the flavors, it surprised me and probably raised my bar for the following courses.
The second one was also delicious. The kakiage like dish was very juicy and rich in flavor.
So, for the third one, we had to wait for an incredible long time, I'd say more than half an hour. It came in a disappointing presentation and all I could taste was the thick sauce. The beef was cooked nicely and was tender but why bother serving meat if all you can taste is teriyaki like sauce?
The sushi set also was disappointing. As you can see, two nigiris of tuna, one half and half gunkan of sea urchin and ikura and four pieces of roll. The rolls were anything but Sushi. I'm very open to new creations but Sriracha with parsley (or some other strong leaf) doesn't go well with the shari (sushi rice).
Lastly, the desert. A chocolate fondue in a Japanese restaurant during summer... Poor choice IMO.
It will take me a while before I try this place again.
Ready to get some sushi, ready to shed out some money. It's an upscale sushi restaurant. The food is amazing and pricey.

The service is good, the food is good. I don't know if it matches the money you spend there. I wish there furniture was a little upscale.

There is a parking garage attached, so parking is not a hastlle.
We have been here before and know it could get expensive. The three of us got the sushi combo, grilled shiitake mushroom, ankimo, chawanmushi, edamame, udon noodle soup (which was not on the menu) and fruit chocolate fondue.

The waitress was very courteous, the server very prompt (made various recommendations and told us about the udon) and the food was beyond expectation! The ankimo was super fresh, so was the grilled shiitake mushroom with the brown Hawaiian salt. We finished every last piece of rice from the sushi and scraped off every last drop of the Belgian chocolate from the fondue, because everything was delicious.

Given the price range, to us, we might not be able to frequent here every week, but when the occasion is right, we'll be back!
