19 pounds worth of junk. The beef tasted old. Sui mai had grisly bits in. I won't be ordering anymore.
Out of all the Chinese takeaways in the Swallownest, Aston, Aughton area this is by far the best.
The food most importantly tastes very good, with generous portions. I would highly recommend the Chef's Speciality of Smoked Chicken. It is by far the best food I have ever gotten from any Chinese and after trying it I can't help but get it every time I order. After introducing it to my family, they also absolutely love it. This hidden gem on the menu is an absolute MUST.

Once I'd dug the hair out of my 'Thai' shredded beef I could sit down and eat it.
I've been to Thailand and this didn't resemble any Thai meal I had over there (bag of premade shredded beef with a dollop of sweet and sour sauce on it). Ribs had very little meat on them. I had a takeaway from here about 9 months ago and it was terrible, nothing has changed, it's still terrible. I won't be bothering again.

We used to go to a different Chinese for many years but we've found the food to be really nice and although it's slightly more expensive than we used to go to, it's not as salty as the other one and as such, more enjoyable overall. :)
Absolutely the worst food and customer service!!! Fried rice was burnt and black, chicken chow mein looked like it’s not even been cooked!! Chips cold and tasteless

This is now our regular Chinese takeaway and when I realised they did an offer where you get £5 discount after spending so much, it worked out roughly the same cost wise as the one we used to go to.
Best Chinese takeaway around. The food is always delicious and delivered hot. We've never had a bad meal.

Ordered last night can't believe how much prices have gone up unreal and to be honest food was of poor standard everything was so spicy with chillies thought sweet chilli was sweet not extreme mouth burning cashew nuts in water chestnuts and bamboo shoots 🤔 not enjoyable at all for the price not sure if it's been took over as used to be sooo nice won't visit again 👎
Spring rolls literally pooling with grease inside and at best like warm. Straight in the bin. Cantonese sweet and sour chicken was OK. Cantonese sweet and sour pork was dry and sickly. Made the mistake of pouring the sweet and sour into the plate. Pouring being the operative word. The large dinner plate couldn't hold all the sauce. Was more like a sweet and sour large thick soup. Straight in the bin. Some prawn crackers were brown on the edges, in the bin too. Tried this one as Wonder Kitchen closed on Mondays. Won't be returning I'm afraid.

Worst meal i have had delivered from China China. I really think it was meat from previous evening completely tasteless and like cardboard.
I always use Golden Star. They are easily the best around our area.. Clean, fresh and always enjoyable.. 5 Stars from me.

Salt and pepper chicken, asked for gluten free, which they do not have a menu for, but the salt and pepper chicken is done in potato starch and I did not suffer, so that's a win for me.

Best Chinese for miles! Amazing value for money, always on time. Set menus are great we usually have b1 or b2 and feeds 4 of us. Honestly it’s the best tasting Chinese we’ve ever had ! Staff are so accommodating and polite too

Fast delivery, but the food was awful. There are 3 of us and not one could eat their meal. It was utterly disgusting. I was actually physically sick. We all had chicken, chicken curry, chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken balls. It wasn't cooked correctly, tasted spongy and smelled of fish. Some pieces still bloody. We will definitely not be ordering from here again!

First time trying this Chinese as i usually visit Asia Palace nearby which is also nice but is a restaurant so is a more expensive option.
We enjoyed what we ordered and will definitely visit again soon in the future. All the food was well packaged and included free prawn crackers which were the better quality tasting ones (which not all chinese takeaways do as some offer the usually bland very white variety). Overall i would say its the best little Chinese takeaway in the area for cost and taste and also has a good hygiene rating compared to some which is also reassuring.

I have always had nothing but exceptional service from the staff and drivers. Orders are prompt are they always give prior warnings if they are busy. They also do their best to accommodate any changes I request, within reason. In all the years I've ordered they've only made one mistake and they did their best to rectify it immediately. Whenever I've visited friends and had takeaway or deliver from elsewhere, it has always fallen short to Wonder Kitchen.

Regardless of what people think, this is a very nice take away, and have been going for years now, the prices have creeped up, but still worth the money, staff are more than friendly and happy to help
Had a lovely meal tonight. Salt & chilli chips were basic but tasty and my son loved the same chicken wings. The beef chow mein was gorgeous and a big portion too. Delivery was early and food piping hot. Will definitely use them again
We were searching for a new local takeaway as another that we had historically used has closed under new ownership. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality (for the price) from Beighton Wok. We had a set meal for 3 and 1 extra black bean beef for 4 people and there was plenty. The flavour was great and we found the amount of veg, meat and sauce was balanced well so as not to overwhelm or to leave you wondering where the rest was. We did not have a menu so ordered in the building and left with our order in less than 15 minutes on a busy Saturday night. I have added photos of the menu but would love if the owners set up a website for others to use.
Always use Sun Yee but this time was not great. Far too many onions and mushrooms and not much chicken in the curry. Special noodles, one prawn and not much else. Was told 25 minutes for collection , waited nearly an hour, No apology for the time I was stood waiting. Maybe time to move on I think.
Can't fault the food. So tasty. I order once a week. Love their capital spare ribs and Cantonese sweet and sour pork. Chow mein is amazing too

I tried the happy house for the first (and last time) a couple of weeks ago. The food was dreadful, completely tasteless, and very greasy. I had BBQ spare ribs, the sauce was purple (not a BBQ brown) and it was extremely watery, no taste whatsoever and you could see the grease floating on top of the purple watery liquid. I also had beef with mushrooms, the beef was so tough I could have resoled my shoes with it, the mushrooms were raw, and once again it was completely tasteless. I had egg fried rice with my beef dish, the rice was stuck together in one big lump and also tasteless. All in all a dreadful experience, I’ll not be using the happy house anymore!
Wow wow i dont leave reviews but just had special chow mein ..that has to be one a best meals i ever had ..the meat was perfection the size was large the price was silly cheap honestly i carnt wait my next meal from these guys absalutely fantastic

We normally like these Chinese but we just got our order and we ordered beef chow main it didn't have any beef in it the mushroom curry is normally hotter and I said no bean sprouts and it came with bean sprouts in it I dont like complaining but I won't be going back

Phone them up and order for delivery. Dont use other apps..not bad for delivery times, usually half an hour. Food is spot on. When it comes to places like this, my motto is " use it or lose it". I would hate for my favourite chinese takeaway to shut down like many places have.
Sun yee used to be my absolute favourite Chinese takeaway. Even when I visited family around the country and they said they had the best Chinese takeaway, it never lived up to Sun Yee. I forgave them when they would close for long periods and was happy to see their sign light up. I knew it was open again. Only the last time, it was different. I would put money on it now having new owners. Or new cook. unfortunately no where near as tasty as it once were, to point I would not order again and I’m on a hunt for new places to try. I am sad and reminisce the good old Sun Yee days.
I frequently ordered from this takeaway through the Just Eat app when I went to university in Sheffield. It is still, to this day, the best chinese food I have ever had. I would most commonly get the special fried rice which would come with a fried egg and char siu on top, with sweet and sour pork.

Been my fave Chinese for years and always enjoyed everything I ordered especially their salt and pepper king prawns 🤤they were always lovely and crunchy on the outside. Last night I ordered for the first time in maybe two months possibly more but the food was not the usual standard. I’m not sure if it’s under new ownership or a new chef but the dishes were completely different. I ordered garlic broccoli which usually comes with a lovely sauce and LOADS of garlic. But there was barely any garlic and the broccoli was extremely crunchy and had onions and carrots mixed with it, it’s just wasn’t as good. I also got my salt and pepper prawns they weren’t like normal at all they were almost soggy, was clearly a completely different batter that didn’t have much taste to it . First time I’ve been dissatisfied with my order☹️
Food was average, we were about 20 minutes away from home and they forgot items and we couldn't go back as it was close to closing time. Could only pay in cash so had to go to the cash machine. Prawn toast got them one more star, it was the saving grace lol

Fried Chicken Cantonese Style... Absolutely out of this world. Crispy fresh vegetables and pineapple, tender chicken and a perfect sauce, not too sweet or salty. Perfectly cooked rice. Absolutely stunning. Arrived within 20 minutes of ordering piping hot
Terrible, rice was brown, calamari was so dry I couldn't even bite a piece off. Beef was ok. Worst Chinese I've had for a while. What happened years ago this was my favourite.

Ordered food worth a total of almost £50.00 for delivery later this evening, when the delivery had not arrived I logged into Just Eat to find that the order had been cancelled as they decided not to open!...Having looked at other reviews it seems this is quite a common occurrence. Sadly it's somewhat of a shame as WHEN the order is accepted and delivered it's of excellent quality but not knowing whether your order is going to be 'accepted' or not is unforgivable and is the reason our £50.00 order will be given to other competition from now on!

Been having food from here for about 4 years. Only had one negative experience, and that was just before the lockdown when I got a piece of uncooked beef in my meal....... Luckily, it was the last bit so I was suitably stuffed anyway.
Ordered from Beighton Wok for many years and every time we’ve ordered food has been spot. Some friends of ours ordered from the local Chinese on Christmas Eve on just eat and it went terribly wrong and got cancelled. So me and my partner recommend beighton wok, and they was open Christmas Eve, they did the full order and added in some awesome extras and we had an awesome Christmas Eve feast. Couldn’t recommend Beighton Wok enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First time I have tried this take away as my regular Chinese has gone down hill. Was a bit apprehensive at first swapping but fully enjoyed food. Was very quick service and very tasty and also received free prawn crackers and vegetable spring rolls. Only tried 1 dish so give it 4 stars but will definitely be trying again.

Ordered last night from just eat and after waiting 35 minutes my order was cancelled leaving very little time to arrange more food, thankfully a local takeaway was still open and willing to make my order. You would think that I would have ordered really late but I don’t think 9.00 pm is late at all. Maybe it’s because I was only ordering for myself but my order reached the recommended minimum £13, if someone could explain why my order was cancelled after so long then that would be so helpful

The food was nice, as it usually is, it's just the length of time to wait for the food that is the issue and the fact it takes quite a bit longer than initially told.
