We've had the pleasure of enjoying a couple of shows. Absolutely a great room with great atmosphere, comfort and very nice food options. We have a few more bookings for '24 and very much look forward to it. Constantly look for new shows.

I travel from Sydney to go to this venue. It's excellent. The food and service is good and the shows are fantastic. I only wish it was in Sydney. It's been an excellent experience every time we have been here

A great venue for intimate concerts and events.

I recently attended the ABBA show. The show was great however it was spoilt by the dreadful meal. I had the pork chop with pepper sauce, which came with "vegetables". A few scraps of egg plant and one square of capsicum all the size of 5c pieces and 2 small wedges of potato (one bie each) in a tomato. And then I had to pay extra if I wanted desert! Not good enough.

I saw The Kites play Steely Dan's Aja.
Great venue and good food.
I thought The Bucket of 4 Italian Beers for $30 was very good value.

Exceptional food. The Rookie set menu was more than substantial, very full (in a good way). The sashimi was the standout for sure, also the duck and potatoes. Loved the wine options, and the staff were delightful. Only feedback would be towards the atmosphere. Slightly louder music, slightly dimmer lights (maybe more candles), and that door needs fixing (it slams shut every time someone enters). Didn’t really upset our experience, but worth noting. Thanks for having us 🥰

Went during the Easter long weekend and although we knew a surcharge was going to be added didn’t know it would be 20% of the bill… bit steep I thought. But the service was worth it. Kuddos to the waiter who was also the bartender who serviced all the patrons by himself that night and still came to check in on how we all were going throughout the dining experience.
The food was great especially the steak and the pulled pork from the lux board.
The kids loved the sprinkles on top of the icecream with choice of sauce. Wish the meal came with a free juice though.

Melt in your mouth experience. Everything exceptional flavoursome. We loved the black pepper beef, the fish, cripsy eggplant. Need to come back to try everything on the menu!

We come to Lux for THE BEST wings and tacos in town!! Sooo good! Great, friendly service. Will always come back for their wings :) Unfortunately the music they play is always far too loud.

Great cocktails and friendly staff. It's not very convenient when the toilet is not located within the shop so we had to be guided by the staff and they had to open the toilets door for us, so I got them 4 stars. Otherwise, pleasantly enjoyed here. You can book a table in advance. They don't have tap beers which we prefer. There is a paid parking nearby.

Delicious food and great customer service. Refined and modern aesthetic topped off wonderfully by a professional and warm staff. The seafood pasta is absolutely the best.

Lux meat platter - delicious and filling, great flavours.
(Green/blue drink) Hawaii time - sweet and everything you'd love if you like vodka cruisers but elevated!
Whiskey cocktail- great for an elevated whisky
Toasted marshmallow espresso Martini - 10/10 reccommend if you're a coffee lover, was an amazing coffee/cocktail

Service - 10/10, wasn't massively busy so we were looked after really well. Had a great chat with the bartender/waiter/(owner?) & even tipped, service was fantastic and a lovely atmosphere

Absolutely loved spending date night there.
Their set menu is vast and covers various dishes with a generous portion size.

Bottomless brunch was more than perfect. Plenty of food and fabulous drinks. Great outdoor setting with a 10/10 lunchtime DJ to bring in the sunny day vibes. Heaters at hand when the day turned to a chilly night. The staff made us feel like the real VIP’s. I had been here once before for the cocktails and the staff were fantastic, I had to make sure it wasn’t a fluke….This crew goes above and beyond and leaves you feeling that something extra special!

Very impressed by this place. In an unassuming old house on the main street, the interior is whitewashed with black chairs. Very cosy interior. As to the food, we had a set 5-course menu and every dish was excellent. Sashimi and crispy skin pork were the highlights. Some of the dishes are pretty spicy if that's an issue for you, although I'm sure they could modify that. Highly recommended and will eat here again. It's not cheap but the quality is worth the price in my view.

Was finally able to visit the newly opened bistro bar located in Wollongong Mall and I’m impressed by the fantastic atmosphere and excellent staff. The food is excellent, with the scrambled eggs being the best I've had for a while. As for the coffee, creamy and tasty. Even though it’s a busy place, the quality of food and service make it definitely worth revisiting again. Overall, highly recommend.

Pretty damn hard to fault. Cosy ambiance in a renovated old home. Service staff super friendly, in fact I'd seen them before at Debutant and they remembered me and my drinking preference (rum). Asian vibes were definitely prominent but in a way my western palate really enjoyed. The pork and fish salad was ridiculous. The caramel and fresh herbs. Omg.

It was fine. Service was pretty slow even though we came at the tail end of the evening as the final seating. No-one asked us about drinks until quite well in. Menu wasn't marked particularly well for gluten free, menu items were out and the substitutions weren't ideal. The decor was pretty drab.

All things that would be totally redeemable or endearing at a place that wasn't trying to hit the white tablecloth demographic and at $60 mains. Those restaurants are held to a higher standard and Rookie was very mediocre.

The dessert though was a surprising dark horse. Yuzu curd with coconut Panna Cotta is amazing.

Lux Bistro Bar & Café is a standout dining destination that offers something for everyone. The beautifully presented and delicious food, generous portions, and impressive drink selection are just the beginning. The bar was well-stocked with a wide range of drinks, including some of the best cocktails I've ever had. The establishment is well-run and professional, making it a great option for families. The highlight of our visit was chatting with the talented chef who was knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. His attention to detail was evident in every bite. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of Lux Bistro Bar & Café's exceptional food and drinks. Overall, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

Had high expectations reading all these good reviews but honestly the food was disappointing. We ordered the Banquet Menu 1 and I hate to say it but the food was not well flavoured, the dishes were not cohesive and it was definitely not worth the price we paid. Although it is fine dining restaurant, a $110 per person banquet menu should serve portion sizes for 2 people… not just 1. Please keep this in mind and spend your money elsewhere.

I had my daughter's Christening at the Centro CBD and all I can say is WOW! Michael and Robert were so easy to deal with and were happy to accommodate all of my requests. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff on the day were so professional and friendly. I would highly recommend the restaurant for any function. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making the day so beautiful.

The food was absolutely delicious, extra credit for their homemade gnocchi. It melted in the mouth. With a lot of the dishes you can choose from a small or larger serving, which caters for differing appetites. The wine list is very extensive, and the staff were warm and inviting. We're looking forward to going back. Oh, and don't forget to sign up to the Birthday Club.

Had the best night seeing Mahalia Barnes. Our dietary requirements so well met, the chef went above and beyond to ensure our meals were absolutely anaphylactic free. We will be back knowing we've found a great place for entertainment and we can eat safely. The staff also to be highly recommended double checking our order to ensure our meal was going to be safe and their service absolutely impeccable.
