Must visit place. Everything was perfect. It was the best calamari I had in a while. Thai red curry with shrimp and creme brulee French Toast were very good. Bean burrito is good too. Definitely recommend this place.

This is a beautiful place, and EVERYTHING was delicious!!! They were packed (as they should be) however, food service was a bit slower than I would've expected. They also had a large party in the back room, so I do not suspect this is a common pattern. Great food, beautiful restaurant, knowledgeable, kind wait staff, definitely worth the price.

My favorite breakfast spot in Bloomington! This restaurant has a great atmosphere, 10/10 service, and delicious food. The steak benedict, omelets, and cappuccino are my favorites however, everything on the menu seems to be good. The average cost is $20-30 per person for breakfast.

Wow, where do I begin? Came here for lunch and we had an amazing experience!

Alex, the waiter, is an absolute professional. Attentive to detail, knowledgeable of the menu, always pleasant, kind, and with a calm demeanor. On to the food… I ordered the pot roast and it was amazing. Packed with flavor, tender and easy to chew, with a side of a hefty portion of mashed potatoes that were homemade. Food hit the spot on an empty stomach and my fiance had a chicken Caesar salad with chicken which she absolutely devoured. The front desk staff was very accommodating and welcoming to all our needs and we were very satisfied with our experience overall!

Highly recommended!

Our favorite date night location in Bloomington. The steaks (filet and NY strip) are worth the splurge (~$50-60 per plate). The compound butter that comes with the house bread is delicious. We also recommend the crab cakes, meatballs, and cheesecake when they are available. The Louisiana hot pepper chicken is our favorite non-steak item; it is great with mashed potatoes. Service is always great as well, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Second time visiting Uptown Cafe. Both great experiences. Food was great all around the table. Service and food were both excellent. Great upscale local eat in Bloomington.

It’s our first visit and after we read some reviews we decided to order the pot roast. The sauce was good; unique but not over powering. The spinach was not overly cooked. The roast was not that tender. My was a bit dry. Maybe I was expecting too much from the roast but it is just not stunning. The portion was ideal for ladies but gentlemen would need more.

Uptown Cafe in Bloomington, Indiana, is a delightful dining spot that excels in several key areas. First and foremost, their service is exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and attentiveness, making you feel right at home.

Uptown Cafe offers a memorable dining experience with its excellent service. Our meal of crispy shrimp and Calamari, delectable crab cake, perfectly cooked steak served with a true sharp steak knife, excellent spiced curry and flavorful Cajun meatloaf pleased everyone's tastes. The sides were not an afterthought but were well done with a standout of the crispy red onion rings.
