Came here for Trivia Tuesday and it was so busy! It starts at 7 but I would recommend to get there at 6 to get a good spot - 6:30 the latest. Trivia was really fun - there was a total of five rounds.

I got the prime rib smash burger and that was pretty good. The virgin caesar wasn’t spicy enough for me and it had a lot of pulp (which I don’t like). But overall really cute place and will definitely be going back for Trivia Tuesdays!

Pretty nice patio out front, decent selection of craft beer on tap & in cans. Food was a mixed bag, the Truffle Camembert was divine, the truffle fries & shishito peppers average.

Great place and great atmosphere om weekdays but the service significantly gets slower on weekends. I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my cutleries and my food got really cold. I also ordered a latte which I got maybe after 25 min!!!

Great place for brunch. Had the breakfast burger and my wife tried the Spanish Frittata from their brunch menu. It was really tasty and filling.

Found this hidden gem while searching for a lunch place on Queen East in the Beaches area. It is quite spacious and has cozy booths with a full bar inside and a big corner patio . Service is great with friendly staff and I am sure it is a go to spot in the neighborhood. We ordered an Outrigger Burger and Jerk Chicken Quesadilla, both were delicious with fresh ingredients and prepared well. Can’t wait for warmer weather to be able to enjoy the patio !

Went for brunch on a Saturday. Got a table easily. They had some specials as well, which they were trialling before potentially adding to the menu. I ordered the pulled pork Benny from this special menu. It wasn’t anything great. The pork made the English muffin very soggy, so much so that it was falling off the fork. The onions on the Benny didn’t really add much in terms of taste or texture. The potatoes could have also done with some more salt.
My friend ordered the breakfast tacos. At the end of the meal, he was very disappointed and said that he could’ve made a better version of them at home! The scrambled egg was lacking any sort of seasoning, while the rest of the toppings just seemed to be some veggies thrown on top.
The service was quite good, and they offered to not charge my friend for his meal upon hearing his feedback.

Really nice ambiance inside the restaurant- the music was great and I liked the lighting/decor. The wood burning stove beside our booth really kept things warm and cozy indoors.

Service was quick and friendly. Overall enjoyed a really nice meal. The poutine’s gravy was pretty salty but the soup is just what I was craving on a cold night. Mocktail was delicious.

Overall, the food was flavorful and yummy. The fish tacos were the only improvement needed - more seasoning and sauce, but the pizza rolls, brisket sando, the burrata and mac and cheese were great.

Thank you for hosting us for our girls evening. We genuinely loved it and thought it was the perfect Christmas moment!! We will be back.

Went to Folly’s with a few friends for the Christmas pop up and had so much fun. Great drinks( also affordable at $13) delicious burgers and the staff was so friendly and nice - thanks Sarah!!

At first glance, this place may look like just another run-of-the-mill three-meal establishment. But if you take a closer look and decide to give it a chance, you'll find that it's actually a full-fledged gem with its own unique offerings! Just some examples are REAL maple syrup, both salad AND fries with your burger, and a bunch of other delicious dishes that you won't find just anywhere. And our waiter Carla was super friendly and helpful in making sure we got exactly what we wanted! Can't wait to come back here again!

Best breakfast in the area. (Ordered the Mexican omelette from the special menu) Service was also really efficient. We went back twice.

I stumbled upon the only affordable and tidy hotel in downtown Toronto for late August. The room looks exactly as shown in the photos, and I'm really digging the industrial decor vibe. The room might be a bit small(easy to bump on the furnitures), but the bathroom is surprisingly spacious.

The only downside? The air conditioner is super loud, which is a bit of a bummer. My earplugs saved my life. But aside from that, it's a pretty quiet hotel, even though there's a loud event happening downstairs.

We had a really positive experience having our wedding here. It was a beautiful night and the service and food were great. Everything went very smoothly!

A spot perfect for both tourists and locals. Located in one of the oldest parts of the city. It’s a cozy corner spot with a patio that is perfect for views and getting a feel of the eclectic neighbourhood that is St. Lawrence Market. It has a European feel and inviting ambience.

Tried the butter chicken here and it was very light and mild. Highly recommend this spot as it is walkable, near transit and great for everyone as it offers s global menu

Great beer selection and fantastic service. The patio has a nice vibe as well, lots happening along College to tune into and watch during a hangout. Try the fish and brisket tacos!

We first fell in love with Hotel Ocho because it's such a beautiful space, and it was by far the most affordable option we found in downtown Toronto.

But, over the months of working with Sela to plan our wedding, we were blown away by the kindness and professionalism we were shown.

Sela answered every email and question, no matter how small, and helped us put together a perfect day.

The staff on the day of went above and beyond to make sure our guests felt accommodated and taken care of.

We've already received so many compliments on the food, service and accommodation of needs like allergies. We are so happy to have chosen Ocho and couldn't recommend it more.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I had my rehearsal dinner the Friday before my wedding at Hotel Ocho, and it was the most amazing event. Sela (event coordinator) goes above and beyond in every way. She answers emails, phone calls and questions instantaneously. She is gracious and patient and brings the best, genuine, upbeat vibes to your event while catering to your every need. I cannot say enough good things. All of the staff at Hotel Ocho are amazing, every server and bartender was the perfect balance of fun and polished professionalism, especially the manager Morgan, who goes above and beyond! The staff here really add the extra sparkle to an already awesome space. The venue itself is gorgeous, the food is amazing...it's hard for me to picture having an event anywhere else in the future.

Enjoyed our stay here recently. Great location, nice clean room, and very comfortable bed. Only thing I would change is maybe moving check in time from 4pm to 3 pm and perhaps adding a door to the bathroom. Will definitely be staying there again though!

Was feeling a classic lunch and ended up here. The patio is nice but the seats aren't the comfiest, we also weren't offered an umbrella when it was super sunny - when one was freed up it went to a table that came after us and had partial shade. The menu was quite extensive and it was difficult narrowing down what we wanted to try. Food wise everything was very satisfying and the portions were good! Loved the mussels in tomato sauce with veggies most - it's an app but can easily be a main because it's so filling and well portioned. Will definitely return.

Food here is decent, but the real highlight is the space. If you need a place for large groups (ex: ~10 people), the dining area here is normally pretty open so you don’t normally need a reservation ahead of time. The staff are also super nice and accommodating.

The kimchi fries don’t really have any kimchi - they’re more cheese fries with mayo and seaweed. They’re still pretty good, but not legitimate kimchi fries, so keep that in mind when ordering!

I can't thank Hotel OCHO enough for its location because everything about it is really just central. I had an event so I was really grateful that I had got somewhere a stone throw away.

The rooms are great and spacious and the character each room has just makes it 1000% worth it. Its one of those boutique hotels where everything has that special feeling.

The brick walls, huge windows, and great shower experience are one of the few things that makes this hotel stand out.

I have a series of meeting in Toronto and I really hope to spend a couple more weeks there.

I ordered the chicken tacos and they were really good, no complaints. The tacos were flavourful, had a decent avocado slice & crispy chicken.
The wait was a bit longer than normal but overall great experience.

Excellent location, staff were really friendly and professional. The room was large, clean and comfortable with big windows. The bed was especially comfortable.

There are lots of great coffee shops very close, especially Dark Horse.

Couple of small suggestions - one of the cleaning products used has a very strong smell, perhaps open the windows after using it?
It would also have been great to have the window opening lever/crank in the room when we checked in.

I had a work Christmas dinner at Folly Brewpub and it was an absolute delight! The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food and drinks were good. The Thursday special was fish and chips with your choice of beer. It came with a big piece of fish. I got the Rice Lager. It was light, refreshing and delicious. My favourite part about this restaurant were the Christmas decorations!!! It was so fun. Definitely made it feel festive. Thank you for a wonderful night out. I'd definitely come back for more food and drinks. Cheers!

First visit here after walking past many times.

Food and service was pretty good. Could use some amping up of flavours. The patio is excellent (minus the wasps).

I'd like to see more local offerings of beer and cider. Pretty limited, generic bar rail type of beers available.

Fantastic first visit to the Folly brewpub!! I'm embarrassed to say I've never tried this place before now. Their food was excellent, staff was super friendly and the beers were great. Their Mac and Cheese was super tasty (but not for the lactose intolerant 😉). Highly recommend this spot on college, right near Dovercourt.

Lovely patio, but the rest of the experience left much to be desired.
We arrived as a party of two around 3:00 PM on a Saturday without reservations and with a dog. It took about ten minutes to get us seated since we had to accommodate for our canine pal.
We ordered a long island iced tea, a pint of Murphy's, the smoked salmon bruschetta, the buffalo fingers, and the fish tacos.

The long island iced tea was quite tasty and refreshing. However, I was pretty disappointed by the food considering the price point. The appetizer cost $15 and the fish tacos $19, but both felt pretty cheap. The app had very little flavor and clearly skimped on the ingredients since there was barely anything on the bread slices (and barely any slices at that), and the fish tacos were soaking at the bottom and made a huge mess to eat. The buffalo fingers were a bit soggy and could have used a bit more crispness, but it's to be expected with saucy fingers. The best part of the meal was the fries.

That being said, the patio was lovely. Plenty of shade and sun if you desire one or the other. They did a great job tending to our dog as well, giving her fresh water and a bowl to drink from.

While I doubt I would EAT here again, it's a great place for some sun and some drinks after taking your dog to the off-leash section of the beach.
