I heard so much about this place that I just had to try it. And definitely not disappointed. The avocado and chicken sandwich was yumm, and goooood cappuccino. Nice for a Sunday brunch. Good ambience. Felt the tables were a little small. But that’s fine. The food was too good to complain about anything 💕

Extremely disappointing place.. the waitress asked us if we did mind to wait a bit as the food is freshly cooked . Our breakfast turned up with dry and cold mushrooms sausage and bacon ,also the hash brown were burn, only the eggs were freshly cooked. Not be going back to this café.

One of the few places that opens earlier in the city for breakfast on a Sunday.
Staff friendly and a nice place to catch the morning sun.
Scrambled eggs very anaemic , probably more milk than egg , and bagel super hard and flat. Apart from that okay.

Always a pleasant experience. The set menus are very wallet friendly but still very tasty and pleasing. The a la carte is also diverse and tempting.
Staff are alert and pleasant.
We often go here for lunch when shopping in Nottingham and have never been disappointed.
A genuine French feel to the restaurant that has maintained its standards for many years. Highly recommended.

My favourite restaurant in Nottingham, and the only authentic French restaurant in Nottingham.
One of the only places you can find Perrier, Orangina and Ricard, amongst others.

Food is really food, always, whether you dine à la carte or have the lunch/ pre theatre menu.

Good selection of less common wines that are always good and good value for money.

Really friendly people and great vibes too.

Had venison last time and it was absolutely amazing! Starter and desert were great too.

I really wish I had more time so I could come more often...

Unexpectedly amazing and a memory we will hold onto for a very long time. Everything about French Living Restaurant, Nottingham is extraordinary and the family who have always ran the place are beyond hospitable. We perused the family/restaurant history album found atop a cabinet next to our table where we saw Pierre (the owners son who is there working hard decades after his picture was captured), other members of the French Living family and a handful of Stephane the Owner/Founder. The dishes served at French Living are astonishingly delicious. We finished our dinner with a Crème Brulee especially fantastic.

If you are a living person who eats food, French Living in Nottingham will be one of the best culinary decisions you will ever make.

Such a lovely little restaurant. Very authentic French food, served and tastes just like when your eating in France! We went for our first wedding anniversary because we got married in France and it didn't disappoint.

First time visiting this restaurant, though I have no idea why. They do a set menu on weekdays which is 3 courses for £22 which is an absolute bargain considering you can get steak frites included in that. I opted for the lamb which was stunning. Weirdly, couldn’t identify a couple of the vegetables it was served with but the potato dauphinois was sensational. The creme brûlée that one of our party had is the best I’ve ever tried.
Authentic, flavoursome French food with friendly service. Highly recommend.

Great evening with family for a 70th birthday! A little cool downstairs. Good variety of food (could have been a little warmer too) but very tasty. Good kids menu- same as adults but less which was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Been many times and would highly recommend.

One of my favourite cafés in Notts! A hidden gem if you don't know it. The coffee is always excellent, food is always amazing and in generous portions. Cute decor (all fox themed!) Outdoor seating available which is nice to sit out in good weather ☺️ the only reasons I can't give 5/5 are that it is quite small and more often than not there is a wait to be seated, sometimes have to turn people away. Other thing is that most of the seating is stools or metal chairs which look nice but probably not ideal for anyone with back issues or injuries.

Beautiful cosy place with a very french location and atmosphere.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a multitude of french messages and pictures. The menu is quite simple and is changing once in a while.
The staff is very friendly and happy to help.
The food is good and there are beautiful layers of flavours. The deserts are absolutely delicious.
I recommend it.

Utterly lovely team who clearly care about the environment, products and customers. Cozy interior with a wide range of fresh food and drink options and inside and outside seating. Reasonable prices, can get a little busy. Toilets aren’t heated so wrap up if it’s cold. It’s a league away from the Kitchen on Pelham street which is opposite.

Interesting and cosy little cafe in Nottingham centre, definitely worth a stop. They have a few interesting menu items, such as pate boards and some good quality salads, making a change from the usually cafe food that’s sub par. The granola was gorgeous with unctuous yogurt, with the fruit and nuts being a pretty touch. The selection of specials was great, bordering overwhelming as I was worried I was going to miss out by not catching something written on the walls!😂
Very nice theme, and very welcoming! Did have to wait for a table for a little while, but it was worth it, made better by the good quality service despite how busy it was. Seems like a great vibrant place for locals and visitors alike. The tea was a little underwhelming, but we ordered a Baileys hot Chocolate to go, and it was delicious…beyond!
