Amazing place! I spent such a great time there! So beautiful!
This place was so much fun. I came here with my 2 kids for a birthday party and the place was absolutely amazing for them. We had a tour of the facility and our tour guide was so good with the children and we all had a really good time! I would highly recommend this place!
The butterfly exhibit on the ground floor is awesome, that's why I'm giving 3 stars. There are 3 floors- not stroller or handicap accessible or friendly. No elevator. 1st floor is for entry, an artistic furniture/old dental equipment space, and the butterfly exhibit. 2nd floor is a "playspace", very dark atmosphere, small and narrow. 3rd floor is where insects are. It's a quick walk around.
There were schools there when we were, so they were getting guided tours, which seem like they would have maybe made the place more kid friendly. A lot of dark artistic attributes throughout, geared more towards adults. Even the stairs are steep and darkly decorated.
We spent a total of an hour here and that was pushing it. Had kids ages 1,2,4,5,6- they enjoyed the butterfly exhibit best.
Some local libraries offer free museum passes that are accepted here. I would save money and see this place for free. Not worth all the $$$.

Nice place
Such an awesome place , great for kids . Educational, very informative and fun filled experience. The interior decor is jus so amazing, very unique. There’s a play area in the 2 nd floor very earthy vibes and fun ..

This place is an amazing mix of creatures, art, education, and oddities! I could tell Dr. John pours his heart into this fantastic museum! I traveled from the Harrisburg area and it was 110% worth the drive. I am looking forward to visiting again soon! Thank you!
When we walked in, we were a bit concerned as it looked a bit chintzy compared to the $20 apiece we paid. Plus, they have no elevator so going up to the third floor was frustrating. Once to the top floor, we were happy to see displays. Shortly after we got up there, a nice person named Sean let us meet and hold Honey the gecko. He also introduced us to a tarantula which I held for the first time in my life. Completely made the visit worthwhile!
Place has some very interesting insects along with all the butterflies. Customer service was great. I couldn't quite understand the theme inside the building, furniture, and doors hanging out from the walls and ceiling. I'm not sure what that has to do with the butterflies or insects. But it is defenetly a great experience. Parents should pay more attention to the kids around the butterflies. They were trying to catch them or touch them even though there were plenty of signs around instructing not too, the front staff also specifically instructed you not to bother or touch them since they are very fragile.
I visited with my daughter, and I was thrilled with our experience. The highlight of our visit was the third floor. My daughter was able to hold two different types of snakes. The employee was great she inatantly gave us information about the snakes and answered all of her questions. The information she provided was informative and interesting. I believe it has been closed.
Cool architecture is a plus! This place is decorated in a fun quirky way and the animals are all beautiful and interesting. There's many info placards around not just about the bugs but also their conservation efforts. I only wished I had a younger sibling with me for next time because it seems like a great place to bring kids too. They even have an ant theme playground! Would recommend this place to any entomologist enthusiast for sure.
I went here for the first time with my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. My granddaughter is 28 months and it was wonderful! We went just as the sun went down and the lights and trains were truly spectacular!! Amazing job Morris Arboretum!!! I am sure a tremendous amount of work goes into the setup and breakdown. Thanks!!
A wonderfull experience for all ages. We were all mesmerized by the brilliant light display with model trains traversing the landscape.The various themes were nothing short of remarkable. Do not miss this experience

I love the garden railway! Just like at Longwood Gardens! (With the exception of the seasons, of course).
Morris Arboretum is one of Philly’s hidden gems. Gotta bring the kids to see the garden railroad.
