Just complained to concierge and bldg.manager about hallways not being vacuumed showed up to my door after 9 pm with a broom. Maybe instead of telling resident that they do not know what they are complaining about, that the place is kept clean maybe try sending residents a survey because everyone I have spoken to says the same thing the bldg. especially the elevators is kept dirty.

Fine place to live with nice amenities, but it is NOT safe for dogs. They have a pet policy that outlines specific rules for dogs (behavior wise, breed-wise, etc) that are not allowed on the premises, but they do not enforce these rules at all. My small dog and I have been countlessly growled at, barked at, and lunged at by aggressive dogs (who violate the pet policy in numerous ways) with careless owners. This has gone as far as being physically attacked by an aggressive dog (who should not be allowed in the building based on breed and behavior, according to the pet policy), resulting in me being bitten while trying to shield my dog from the attacking dog.
Despite numerous complaints to the concierge desk and resident customer service reps, nothing has been done and this keeps happening. They make you “register” your dog to live here, but it’s obvious that the owners of the dogs that *should* not be allowed here (according to the pet policy) do not register their dogs and thus, the building has no record of them. Every time I submit a complaint, I’m told there’s nothing they can do because they don’t have a record of the dog.
Moreover, the security cameras either don’t work or they lie when they say they check them. All of the incidents I have had with aggressive dogs have occurred in direct view of a security camera. If the cameras worked, or if they actually checked them, they would be able to clearly identify these people, but they continuously tell me they didn’t see anything on the cameras.
If you have a dog and choose to live here, be very cautious anytime you leave your apartment.

This building looks nice from the outside, but as a resident, it’s horrible. I’ve had to put in 6 service requests since I moved in a month ago, and 3 of them were for a dryer that is still broken. They keep saying that it’s fixed, or the issue is the sensor, but moisture is filling up the dryer and the cycle is ending prematurely. I’ve gotten no compensation from them, and no real help - just shallow reassurance that they’re doing their job. In addition to the dryer, they also haven’t addressed a carpet stain that’s been in the third floor hallway for weeks (even though I put in a service request for that as well)

My apartment flooded and we were never reimbursed for damages. I was also forced to pay for repairs on damages that were there upon move in. And despite leaving my apartment being spotless on move out at lease end— I was still charged for nonexistent problems and did not get my full security deposit back.
Wouldn’t recommend unless you really want to get nickeled and dimed for fake luxury and an awful management system.

Fairfield needs to stop having workers/people park on the hill going up to the parking garage. It's hard enough to fit two cars going up and down when nobody is parked there but its impossible to see anyone coming out of the garage. This is a safety hazard. I know many people have complained to the front desk, but yet everyday people are parked there. I almost crashed into someone trying to get out of the parking garage because I couldn't see them coming up the hill around the bend.

0 stars, formally the Avalon, now Fairfield, this place is absolute TRASH. Between the mice issues, disgusting hallways, never being able to get in touch with management, please run away from this place. Amenity fees of $65 per month for what, an outdated gym and a pool that fits 10 people max and is never open? The rent they are charging is not worth what you get here.

DO NOT RENT HERE. Ever since Fairfield took over management, the building has begun to fall apart. My apartment has extensive water damage on the walls and ceilings. Every time it rains, the water damage to the apartment gets worse and worse, and all they do is blow a fan in your apartment. Then once you move out they will gut your apartment and do the extensive repairs required before dramatically increasing the rent for the next tenant. We recently were reorganizing the furniture in my toddler daughter's room, and noticed black mold is growing on the walls. (See picture) That was the last straw for us and we decided to move immediately.
Addendum: Fairfield wrote a response to my review, claiming how concerned they were by what I wrote. They encouraged me to reach out to them to try and resolve the situation. That is the BIGGEST joke. My wife and I have been trying to reach them for the last three months and they have been ignoring our phone calls and emails and giving us a run around to avoid us. I have never dealt with such an incompetent customer service. DO NOT RENT HERE. Fairfield does not care about their tenants.

Until today, I thought this was a good place and have been living here for almost a year. I am a new driver and the pillars in the garage have been giving me a hard time. I hit my car when I moved in as well. Because of this, Avalon staff assigned me a parking spot without anyone next to me so that I have more space. This was arranged by their staff and I'm just following their suggestions.
In Jan 2020, a staff emailed me asking about my parking problem and I explained again why I was parking in between two spots (see pics). After that they never contacted me again, so I assumed Avalon knew my parking thing and approved it.
5 months later today in June, someone named Joanne called me with an extremely rude and ironic attitude complaining my parking issue. I feel insulted and upset. Of course I understand I should try to park in my spot only and it's not an excuse for being a new driver, but this was initiated by Avalon staff and they are informed more than once. If this is not accepted, they should have let me know in January. Clearly there are communication problems within Avalon, but I should not be the one to be blamed.
All I want was an apology from Joanne who called me with bad attitude and I agree to park following their instructions, but their manager called me saying she doesn't think the employee needs to apologize and its not fair to ask she to apologize. I am very disappointed about how Avalon treats residents here, It's not fair for her to apologize, so it's fair for me to be treated like this even though it's Avalon's management fault?
