I recently moved out because of the commute to my new work. I loved living in this complex (building 34) for two years! I moved in to an essentially new apartment with a perfect kitchen, floors, and appliances. My neighbors were very quiet and we never had any issues on my floor. The amenities are great and well maintained: the game area was always clean, the gym in a very good condition. I stored my bikes in a spacious bike area. The package receiving area isn't the worst: we have very similar issues in my new building. I never had anything stolen and all "lost" items reappeared in 1-2 weeks. I think the delivery guys scan the items to be on track with the delivery times and then drop them later. It is a dog friendly community, so you will make a lot of dog friends. The management and the maintenance team are super responsive and everything was fixed the next day. (Not much to fix, because everything was brand new). The rents are high and in line with rent for similar buildings near major transportation hubs. It is Boston....there is a large paid (but cheap) parking lot near the sullivant square T, so it is easy for visitors to park.
Sarah, was exceptional. I had a phone call with her in regard to availability and she was very knowledgable. I look forward to potentially moving soon.
The location is fantastic. I work in the city, so I love being across the street from Sullivan Square in convenient.

Despite all of the issues wit the MBTA, I think that the orange line is one of the better options.

My wife and I love to walk to the main part of Charlestown or Assembly Square for dinner. Nice to be a few stops away from the North End & TD Garden as well. Love seeing a show or game or getting dinner in the North End and riding a blue bike home.

I live on the third floor of 34. No noise issues. Gym is sufficient. We are in a studio that has a nook for a bedroom. It feels like a one bed. The windows are awesome - they let in a ton of light and we love our partial view of the Boston skyline. Some units have a much better view than ours. Our friends used to live in a one bed next door and the view was stunning and their closet was huge. We also love the roof, use it all the time in the summer.

The maintenance team always comes super quick whenever we have a problem, they are all kind. The desk staff are all wonderful and super helpful. Leslie Romo is the best, I would absolutely recommend booking a tour with her.

Parking spots in the garage and limited and can be small. Ours was really tight for our CRV until we eventually upgraded. There is a parking lot right next to the building that is $6. A nice option for friends if they come to visit.

We are leaving after two years because of a job offer in another city. Otherwise, we would resign here.
We had a great experience living at gatehouse. The maintenance team, specifically Dario was so personable, attentive, and quick to respond to any issues we had. Even at inconvenient times he would be there to support you at the drop of a hat. Great team and also love how good they were to our dog, he loved them!

I have been a resident in this community for almost 5 years, and unfortunately, we are facing ongoing challenges related to stolen packages and a mice infestation. Regrettably, two of my packages, delivered to the mail/package room, were stolen on 11/19/2022 and 11/16/2023. Despite the efforts of Hannah and Gerry to review security footage, no leads were found. Once packages are taken from the package room, recovery becomes nearly impossible.

Concerning the mice issue, Hannah and Gerry have been very supportive. Upon reporting the issue in July 2022, they provided multiple sticky mouse glue boards. Gerry inspected for possible entry points and sealed them with metal mesh under the sink. I personally captured 6 mice within 4 days, and later, an exterminator set up poison bait under the sink. Although Hannah shared insights on the potential sources of the mice, the problem persists. Even with the poison bait, I can still hear mice activity inside the walls every few months (especially when people are moving in/out). At least I haven't caught any in my apartment anymore.
We lived at the Anchorage for almost three years and were very happy in our one bedroom apartment. We would have extended our lease again if there were 2-bd apartments (only studios or 1-bd) in the building. Compared to almost any other building in the Navy Yard, it is super affordable without any real downsides: it comes with a gym, a package room (never lost a package), free street parking with a long stretch only reserved for the building, average yearly rent increases of less than 3% even during high inflation, and the most important: location, location, location. Other things on our minds:
* The building has a great management and handyman team (shoutout to Hannah and Gerry), who are very responsive, fix issues quickly, and are onsite every working day.
* The neighborhood is superb: quiet and safe but super close to the North End (20 min by foot) and Downtown with amazing views along the Harbor Walk and decent public transit by ferry to the aquarium or the free MGH shuttles.
* A few great restaurants/bars are close by (Dovetail, Brewers Fork, Blackmoor), as well as a 24/7 7-Eleven, a Dunkin, and a mini “grocery store” at Dovetail (excellent European-style bread!). Whole Foods or CVS in Charlestown or Star Market or CVS at the North Station are about 20 min by foot.
* Parking is hit or miss. It’s free with a resident sticker and the reserved parking for Anchorage residents along the building helps, but towards the end of the day it can get hard to find a spot. On the plus side, Charlestown - unlike other Boston neighborhoods - is not towing vehicles, but instead only ticketing at higher rates (a plus if you’re traveling 2+ weeks at a time wrt street cleaning). Paid parking at the building or neighboring ones start at $200/month.
* The sound insulation between apartments isn’t the best, and the laundry rates are higher than neighboring buildings ($3/load vs $1.75 at Parris Landing for the same machines). Both things we were ok with given the rent amount!

We couldn't have better things to say about living here! The building is so well-maintained and in the absolute BEST location in Charlestown (close to Whole Foods, Main Street, etc.). The neighborhood is also very family and dog friendly - a huge plus!

In addition to this, the people that work here are so helpful & sweet. We've lived at places where the staff was hard to work with, and the staff at Gatehouse is the total opposite. Eric & his team are so knowledgable, friendly, and available to help with whatever is needed. Alex & Dario are also the behind-the-scenes heroes keeping this place in amazing shape & quickly responding to work orders. Whether it's a small request or something more challenging, Dario has gone above and beyond to help get the job done. We couldn't be more thankful for the entire team at this property, and cant wait to renew our lease in the coming months!
Absolutely the best place around. It’s safe, clean, quiet and convenient. We are treated like family here! The management and staff are always looking for ways to make residents happy and satisfied. Their door is always open. From Eric, Jennifer, David, Monica, Dario and Alex they’re always there to assist with a positive attitude. Eric is very accommodating and welcoming and excellent communication. Dario solved my service request the very next day. Thank you to all.
I submitted a maintenance request for Dario and he reached out and resolved the issues within a matter of hours. Dario is the best. He is always attentive and friendly to top it off!
We have lived at Gatehouse 75 for five years. It is close to restaurants, Whole Foods, and the Community College Orange Line T stop. It is an easy walk to the North End, Downtown Boston, and TD Garden. Relative to large high-rise apartments nearby, it is smaller but has a gym, two community rooms, a package room, and a wonderful roof-top patio and grilling space.

Its best feature is the attentive maintenance staff. Both Alex and Dario are constantly working to keep everything running smoothly. And, when there are maintenance issues, whether to replace lights or fix one of the appliances, they respond within one business day without fail.
My overall experience living here for two years is what you would expect, there weren't really any surprises or nightmares. The apartments were very new, clean, and nice. The gym, bike storage, and garage are very convenient. Maintenance was fast and painless whenever I needed it for minor issues and repairs. Management was always very friendly and cooperative, but sometimes took upwards of a week to respond to emails. There were some issues with the elevators and "smart" door locks (which were no more functional than a key). I moved out for two reasons, my studio was very small for the amount of money I was paying (they raised the rent to $2250) and the location, while close to the T and downtown, is surrounded by highways and parking lots.
This place is convenient, safe, clean. The whole staff is professional, helpful and accommodating and treats us with respect. Eric, Dario, Alex, they are always ready to assist, they are the best! They go above and beyond
Dario is always there to rescue when you need a maintenance.

Thank you guys!!!
I lived in the Anchorage for about 4 years until recently moving out when I bought my own place. The location is great for the combination of waterfront property (Harborwalk is so beautiful along this stretch) and proximity to city amenities. There's also dedicated parking on 9th Street for residents of the building.

The management and maintenance combination of Hannah and Jerry was an absolute game-changer for the building. Hannah, the property manager, was always incredibly responsive to issues specific to my unit, communicative to the whole building providing ample notice for any projects that impacted residents, and just a really personable and approachable person. Before she started, emails to management often felt like they were just going to a dark hole, but that completely changed when she started. She genuinely cares about the residents of the building and ensuring that they are comfortable, happy, and supported in their homes. Jerry handled all maintenance requests in an incredibly timely manner. He was always very efficient and very attentive to WFH schedules that impacted times for repairs. I genuinely miss being supported by Hannah and Jerry. Highly recommend the Anchorage to anyone considering moving to the area.
We loved living at Anchorage apartments, Boston during 2020-2022. It is safe, clean, quiet, and has a great and responsive maintenance team. Staff member Hannah and Jerry is very helpful, approachable and friendly. Nearby Locations are great. We highly recommend living here.
Absolutely love Gatehouse and wanted to write a review highlighting how incredible one of our building managers, Qamar, has been to us! From helping us to acquire more storage quickly (and in the right spot), to being there as we coordinated our baby shower in the building, to simply being a gracious, friendly, and helpful presence at all times, we were so grateful to have Qamar managing our building!
The Anchorage Apartments has been our home for the last 6 years. Can't say enough about the location, it's easy enough to walk Downtown (it's definitely a long walk-but safe and enjoyable) which I did for years before the pandemic, or take the bus or ferry. Views of Boston are spectacular every season. The building itself has old charm with new amenities. For the WFH people there is a very cute Internet cafe where you can do some work when you need a break. The building is in the best shape compared to some of the more expensive ones around. It is professionally cleaned every day. Above all, we owe this place being so amazing to Hannah and Gerry, who as a team have transformed the feel
of this community. I've never had to really wait more than a day for a maintenance request to be completed, only if a part was missing and needed to be ordered. Hannah has been incredible with her communication to the residents and keeping us up to date with everything happening. Both of them always greet each resident with a smile and readiness to make sure we enjoy our time here. Best place in town!!!
I'm shocked to see some of these reviews tbh. I loved by time at The Graphic Lofts so much so that I recommended a friend move into my apartment after I left and he did!

The office staff were always helpful and kind. I moved in during peak COVID and the building was super safe and ensured everyone was wearing their masks and whatnot. It was pricey for sure but the gym was well equipped, a killer roof deck, a lounge/game room downstairs, and a gorgeous workspace/lobby area, with a T stop a block away - in Boston, you just aren't getting those kind of amenities.

I will say I lived in the actual loft building, not the new build (bldg 34) next door. I can't speak to those apartments but 32 was always super quiet, clean, and comfortable. I miss that apartment!
I lived in the Anchorage Apartments for one year (2021-2022), and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The property manager Hannah was very personable and attentively answered all of my questions before I signed the lease. I found her straight-ahead and professional approach really refreshing and rare. She even helped me determine whether the building's cafe wifi was close enough to use from my apartment. This saved me hundreds over the lifetime of my lease.

Once I had signed the lease, the year flew by very smoothly. Gerry, our super, always responded immediately to any issues I had, and always gave ample notice before anyone came in to perform repairs. The communication was great when it was time to get my deposit back. The building even offered to let me leave early with no penalty, so long as they could find another tenant. Hannah and Gerry are genuine and lovely people. Other negative reviews might be due to previous management teams, but if you are dealing with Hannah and Gerry, you are in great hands!
As far as big apartment buildings go, this is definitely one of the best. The management team is excellent - friendly, prompt, organized and honest. They're constantly talking to tenants to improve the community, and it shows - just recently, they put in a dog run. It's clean, well-managed, and just a great community overall. Some neighbors seem to go out of their way to make noise, but those are the only ones we ever hear. Thanks Josh, Keith and team!
I didn't even live there for the full length of my lease. At first glance, the property looks nice. It's relatively new, walking distance to Assembly Row, Sullivan Square T, and Charlestown. Instead, it's relatively impossible to get a good night's sleep from the noise, it's not a particularly safe building as things are regularly stolen and people just randomly get into the building, and people smoke inside the building (even though the building is advertised as non-smoking). My neighbor smoked pot constantly and since I was working from home (as a lot of people are), it impacted my work. Management said it was my responsibility to deal with, and that I couldn't move out - even though it was management that violated the lease by not dealing with the smoking. They eventually let me terminate the lease when I threatened legal action, but are requiring me to pay them even more money - even though my apartment was unlivable for some of the time due to the smell. If you take the risk of living here, make sure you have a good lawyer.

My time at The Anchorage Apartments was a great experience! Everyone in management was always super kind and if had a maintenance problem it was always fixed quickly and efficiently. Jerry and Hannah are incredible and we're always great! The facilities are great and the surrounding area as well. It's quiet and safe and it is a short commute to the city. Not to mention there is a 7 eleven and Dunkin right around the corner. I would definitely recommend living here it is a great place and the people are really nice!
3 stars for my apartment 2201
4.5 stars for the building

We loved our stay at the Graphic Lofts. There are more pros than cons of living here, so I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Pros :
1. The maintenance staff and the leasing office staff are very responsive, friendly, and welcoming. All our maintenance requests were always answered within few hours - all complaints big and small.
2. The amenities are pretty incredible and very well maintained. During the pandemic, I worked in the lobby almost every day.
3. Apartment is brand new with great appliances, a huge closet, and very well ventilated.

However, few cons made our stay a little less pleasant:
Our apartment was located right above the gym, and that gave us multiple issues. So, please don't stay in the apartment above the gym.
1. The fan in the yoga room was right beneath our floor, which made the floor vibrate and produced a lot of noise. The maintenance team reduced the fan speed to combat this issue. However, other members would change the fan speed now and then. We had multiple sleepless nights due to this.
2. Noise from Weights/ jumping in the gym below would travel to our house and cause a lot of disturbance.
3. Loud music in the gym in the early hours was quite annoying. The leasing office has sent emails regarding this to other residents; however, it never stopped.

Overall, I recommend this building to everyone. Just don't take the apartment above the gym.
I would not recommend anyone to live here. Fitness studios next door to 32 Cambridge host classes 5-6 days a week from 6am to 8pm with industrial speakers and microphones--management has not done anything. Thieves have stolen packages and bikes, with access to the building--management has not done anything. Construction of the bar downstairs started at 7am every morning and resulted in fire alarms going off all the time. Construction on D street makes the parking garage inaccessible at some parts of the day despite an e-mail saying we could access it. Proofread your lease because management is making us pay for an additional month's rent just to leave an apartment where we get no peace and quiet, despite our lease ending and us letting them know a month before.
24 hour Maintenance
Not a bad complex, overall. Decent value for the space compared to other buildings in the area. Management has been a bit spotty but they seem to have worked out most of the kinks - mostly.

Maintenance is on-call after hours, and I've been unimpressed by them the couple of times I've had to call. Maintenance during the day for routine matters has been fine. Not the most personable folks but they get the stuff done.

I liked my loft-style room, although the loft building tends to have poorer views than the other building. The building itself has plenty of common space, a fairly small gym, rooftop grills. The rooms in the other building are more traditional and are also nice, depending on your interests.

You will not have any hot water in the winter! Dozens of families have complained for years, nothing has been done to give tenants a certain standard of living in the winter!
