It heartbreaking that they are building houses. These houses are going right up to this gorgeous landmark.
The development has it all blocked off due to all the construction. I would write directions, but it will change quickly. Head up and right on trails, and you will find it.
It only got 4 🌟 due to all the horrible construction 🚧 😑

It’s a great little hiking area that’s close to Vegas. It’s definitely worth a visit to unwind from the Vegas madness for a bit.
Absolutely epic and beautiful and little known outside of 4wheel and outdoors community.

I can't say enough about this place.. I implore everyone locally in Las Vegas to fight to protect this place as well as be sure the Howard Hughes owned homes going in now- 2023 don't close a cess to only the rich or gate the entire place! There needs to remain a park run street all the way to the top for locals to enjoy for years to come..
Good place to hike or mountain bike but unfortunately real estate developers are already expanding the city outward. Still, there are plenty of places to hike, you just need to go farther back but it's a beautiful area.

Today (Nov 30,2021) it was my second time here. I haven't been since April 15,2020
Little Red Rock (don't confuse it with Red Rock) has some amazing red Aztec sandstone outcroppings to scramble in and around. are the petroglyphs even if, unfortunately some parts of this site have been vandalized with graffiti
UNFORTUNATELY the constructions aren't stopping and won't stop and it is getting harder and harder to get there.

Great hike from Far Hills. Best day is Sunday to avoid construction traffic.
Seriously, don't come out here and trash the place. Pack out more than you pack in. If you can make it out here than you know its time is limited with all the developing in the area. A high-clearance vehicle is needed or else you'll be walking a bit. Otherwise an amazing place that reminds you of Red Rock and Valley of Fire.

neat area once u get past all the development , some roads are/where closed making it a little hard to find ... expect more of that I'm sure .. awesome views up top , fun big rocks to scramble on also petroglyphs at that large red rock outcrop.
