Your "company"..can not even stick to a load shedding schedule. Power is switched off and back on spontaneously every time. Even Eskom managed to stick to times. If you perform worse then Eskom then you know its time to close the doors and move on. I won't call your service poor, because that would be a compliment and an improvement over what you pretend to offer. A very disappointed Johannesburg because of you
Wish there was a minus star function. This "organisation" who are notoriously bad at switching back on again thought it wise to implement a new schedule with more switching. After not having power for almost 8 hours they thought it was OK to shed us again after just 15mins of restored power. This is a technology that is hundreds of years old but you cannot flip a switch properly. Please get a grip
How the hell did you screw up all the load shedding schedules? Even Eskom does a better job at that than you at it and that's the lowest benchmark to measure up to...
The second time I’m pleasantly surprised by City power. Phoned early Saturday morning, couldn’t get through to the call center so I requested a call back option. A very helpful gentleman phoned me back within two minutes. He helped me to log a call and the power was restored by 2pm the same day by a friendly team. Thank you City Power.
Worst call centre agents ever after explaining your query they put you on hold for no reason what so ever ...ayi so much for trying to get help
Phoned call centre. Was helped by Bongi. She was amazing and tried to help to resolve the problem. She even phoned me the next day to check if my prepaid meter was sorted . She deserves a promotion
2 months and still no resolution to a meter leaking water. Call Centre has zero way to help and every contact number shared does not get answered.
Got wrongfully disconnected wanted me to pay 1500 on the spot to not disconnect me, then proceeded to disconnect me, called COJ..sent proof rates and taxes is paid 5 months in advance....then got ref to be reconnected...48 hours later still not reconnected 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

How can I give a review of zero? Because City Power is rock bottom. Our section in Devland constantly gets unscheduled power cuts off, I got hanged up on after waiting for more than 30 minutes. Absolutely the pits!
City Power has no interest in us, had no electricity for three days due to cable theft, when i call, the calls were dropped. I only got help on the fourth day when i went to the offices, the SERVICE is extremely poor, they need to reshuffle EVERYONE 🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️
Since yesterday power out at Park str Turf club Phone several time ,call back only rings twice and phone then put down ,Safety risk for all ,Clearly we need to ask for qualifications as non is competent to perform set duties
Ii have been trying to get through to the Call centre to follow up on a call I made on 14 July. I have used close to R300 in airtime today alone and have been cut off each time I get to position 1. My problem is that my pay as you go electricity device has stopped taking the token numbers. The service from these guys is pathetic.
If there was a way to get electricity from anyone else believe me I would be first in line.

I logged a call last night at 19.14 because we have no electricity in our street.This morning I wake up,the call has been closed with no results.I cannot get back into the app to log another one.This is so ridiculous seriously and utterly frustrating to say the least.Why are you closing calls when the problem is not fixed
Useless useless!! It has been 8 months after installing solar and we still get a estimate bill every month exactly the same as before the solar!! It does not even help to phone because it looks like the people working there have launch 24/7!!
Worse customer service. You will be on hold for over 15min only for a consultant to drop your call after you have explained your query

Absolutely no point in having contact numbers. No-one ever answers. Viva new South Africa viva.
Called them to tell them that the electric poll was burning and they had the audacity to say they will come when they can. It's been more than 24 hours. Thank God the fire fighters can stopped the fire but these people are so useless.
Pathetic useless 😒 and disappointing they sit on there chairs passing the buck to the next and will frustrate you forever!
But who will ever vote them out of their position?
That's why they will give nothing and dont expect anything
Inconvenience, never can provide updates on outages, hope people start switching to private providers as City Power and Eskom are highly unreliable

If I could give a zero rating, I would. They’ll extend loadshedding in your area (and call it a “power outage”) because there’s an area they’re exempting at your expense.

The bill for the complex went from R1.3 million Rand to R100 000 just on the initial recon with a consultant and they won't turn the power back on unless we pay the full R100k. We probably owe nothing but with the corruption and their political agendas and all the cards stacked in their favour we have to fight tooth and claw to prove our innocence while they just make declarations that they won't listen to there evidence. We've been without power for 5 weeks now. They should be ashamed that this is how they treat their community. And the ward councillor is suspiciously silent...

Why does Kenmare Krugersdorp never have load shedding? Not fair!! Every other area has to suffer.
Sibusiso Elvis Xulu, manager of power outages in Florida area is arrogant, rude and puts the phone down on residents when he is questioned. We have been without power since 7 January at 1.30am and power was only restored on 9 January at around 11h30. If he cannot be professional and polite then clearly he is not suitable for the position. They use delaying tactics and endless excuses continuously. We pay and we are entitled to an efficient service delivery. No manners and cannot perform - get out.
Day 2 without electricity at 6 Sadie road due to vandalized station which only affects our complex and princess clinic but no one has attended to it, it was reported more than 24hrs ago and still nothing. This is really an inconvenience!!
Once again power is not back, is fordsburg block 6 targeted????? Someone should take city power to court. No power for the last 18 hours 20 minutes and counting (city power employees have no hearts to fail pain of others), finally after 19 hours the power is back, I hope someone who has authority is reading and start planning to avoid similar situation with any of city power customers
Service is realy pathetic..call centre is useless .I am ashamed of my people considering the fact that I work with people.really dissapointed....it's a pity that at the end of the day we still need them to come fix the faults but realy ....I wish we had a voice somewhere where we can realy talk and be heard.
We reported our prepaid metre problem and within 3 hours a technician came through, his name was Floyd, and he had us up and running within half an hour. Excellent service, thank you very much!
For the third time in one year. 7 days and counting of no power. Call centre can only give a number via sms. Any further calls are a waste of time. They have only been taught one word. "Escalate ". And in saying that they are blatantly lying. There is no number to speak to "technical support ". That is non existing. The only skills are sitting in the bakkie having lunch. A totally useless entity.
I have to compliment the JHB City Power team/teams that came to sort out our problem. I logged a street light issue on 6/10/2022 and the team arrived 7/10/2022! The fault was underground ,caused by a main water pipe burst. Despite having to work in extreme heat and dig a deep hole , they found the problem and fixed everything perfectly. All involved had great attitudes and went about their jobs very positively. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Low-hanging 200-300m fruit cable for cable thiefs at Roodepoort Old dog unit Elias Motswaledi Road & Main Reef. Has been hanging low for weeks now, it's a danger to society. I reported this on Monday afternoon with City Power Risk Control and the Indian guy that answered promised to attend to it asap. You still not attended to the hazard cable until it snaps and shock unlucky motorists or sidewalk mense what is the reason for us to waste our airtime by calling and reporting your hazard infrastructure with no compassion to the matter.
Pathetic. No municipal power for the foreseeable future. They keep changing my incident report to resolved without fixing anything. Call centre can’t help. Insert swear words. Molotov cocktails are beginning to make sense. Negative stars.

Its been 3 days with no electricity ,calling to no answer what is their purpose if they not going to be helpful, a box exploded and no one cares to respond to calls there small kids and elders who cannot be bathing in cold water let alone in this cold .city is useless n serves when it suits them

Since Friday 22 October 2021 they have been offline. Today is Monday 25 and they still offline. I was told to go to Braamfontein.
If I could give you a *zero rating* I could have done so. Why do you put up phone numbers for a 24Hr call centre service if you don't pick up the calls? Your workmanship really sucks. That's really a poor service you are being paid for every month.
