The food was ok (a bit expensive for what it is), the location incredible (central, but in a quieter place), Ladision was very sweet and kind
My first time eating rabbit and I really liked it a lot, the texture, the flavour, the plums and accompanied with fries, uff simply delicious. The attention was very good, they were very kind and fast. I recommend them if they go to Brussels 🇩🇪❤️👌
Excellent atmosphere, excellent food and drink, excellent value. We hadn't booked and staff were absolutely fantastic...everything was so good we went back the next night.

So many different names for this museum on the internet. There's this, the Belgian Comic Strip Center, and the Comics Arts Museum. We stopped in because we had the Brussels Card but honestly, probably would have skipped it if we didn't have it. It was just before 12:30 on a Friday. It's cool if you like the smurfs or are super into comic books (which I am neither). I did like the exhibit where they featured women policitical comic artists from all over the world. We spent probably about half an hour before we left.

Its vibrant exhibits celebrate the rich history of Belgian comics, showcasing iconic characters like Tintin and the Smurfs. The interactive displays and original artwork provide a deep dive into the artistry behind these beloved stories. A must-visit for all ages!

Excelsior! Fantastique!! Wunderbar!!! Phenomenal!!!

A wonderful museum in an amazing building only adding to overall experience and atmosphere.

A history of comics and then a series of introductions to the process with dozens of original pieces demonstrating the art, and then thematically arranged displays.

Exhibits frequently change, so on this occasion, the Lombard company who produced Tintin had an incredible exhibit - built like an IKEA show room sequence, it was astounding and in cupboards one found art!!!

Of course the Smurf section.

A fabulous shop, with some very unique items and then La pièce de résistance! The Library....

I am researching comic articles for Fanzines, and had a desire to see comics only available in French from over the decades and this is the place to see them.

Dimitri was so helpful!
It's a wonderful place to study comics, to read the studies of comics, and my hours went by too quickly.

It is a fabulous museum and library.

Never thought I'd visit a comic arts museum, but I did and it was great! There's tons of content in the really neat Horta art nouveau warehouse. Everything has detailed descriptions in French, Dutch, and English, though the English text is sometimes printed much smaller than the rest. And most of the comics displayed are in French, but that's fine, the art transcends the written language.

I like certain styles more than the others. I found a new comic I like, Boerke. The museum was playing the animation of this cartoon and its very funny.
Most of the comic display are in French (I think), so I don't understand most and was mostly looking at the pictures.
When I first entered Le Cercle des Voyageurs, I discovered what I would call a fancy version of Ollivander's boutique as I imagine it. I almost expected a few luggages to fly away from the walls to circle the painted cealing. The atmosphere and decorum of this restaurant are truly charming and sure made my mind wonder about traveling the world all year along but did the magic happen for me? Sadly not.

As stated on the website, the restaurant promises a world tour of generous, tasty meals and good products. The choices are not very original but they are, in fact, from a variety of different cuisines.

However, I was definitely not convinced by the quality of the products. A very typical exemple would be the cold starter "Tomato with mozarella di bufala and basil"
Five slices of tomatoes in there bath of oil topped by a firm and tasteless bowl of mozarella.
As for the main course, I wanted to taste something more local, the flemish carbonade, which had good reputation on the restaurant's reviews. It sure looked like a very warm, generous and conforting food I immediately wanted to relish on. I expected onion flavors in the sauce and a tender meat. But here again the taste was lacking and the food turned out to be dry and chewy.

I would not be that disappointed if it wasn't for the price since the former was 15€ and the latter 22€. It is not very overpriced considering the surroundings but to my mind, the food quality does not follow. And since there is no menu, we end up paying more than 100€ for two people.

Nevertheless, I give it three stars because of the place's appearance and location, obviously, but also because I found the soup of the day and the home-made ice tea quite good and the apple tart was nice and warm.

Additionally, oddly enough, we had three different waiters during the evening. Two of them were nice and welcoming despite a few comical incidents. For instance, the waiter who saw us to our table seemed a bit distracted and cleaned the crumbs from previous customers off the table on my partner's legs which gave us a good laugh, no biggie and I am not fond of criticising workers unless they are plainly rude or incompetent.

About the third waitress, I understood better why some reviews I red about the restaurant were so mixed about the staff. She definitely was not the friendly or talkative type. We tried to ask a few questions about the food.
For example, I asked what was in the soup and... "vegetables" was a very short and efficient answer I did not expect!
My partner asked about the meal's accompaniments and again, she did not seem informed about the menu. She simply red all the content of the loose printed sheets they give as "recommendations" (which I do not find very professional) we already had under our nose. I think what she wanted to say was "just read the menu". But then again, we laughed it off because she was not very warm but still she was professional.

In conclusion, to my mind, Le Cercle des Voyageurs could be a very great restaurant if much more efforts were made on the food. Meanwhile, I am not planning on coming back as I felt like I paid for the surroundings and it is not my main priority when I come to a restaurant.

And finally, since we are in Belgium, I would have hoped for good traditionally made fries. It is interesting to be able to taste food from all around the word in one place, but is it interesting to taste a food you could get anywhere else?

The atmosphere made me feel like a traveler.
The food, like a tourist.

Sincerely
Came here for dinner. The mojito mocktail was delicious! For dinner we had Sea Bream & Seafood Spaghetti- both were good. We had the waiter with the glasses and he was lovely. The inside is unique with the suitcase wall.
You can enjoy your time here with different exhibitions: you have the history of comics, some of the different styles which were developed, you can see some of the works of female comic artists who draw to make social commentary, but also enjoy lighter stuff like the Smurfs or comics for children.
It is family friendly, had the descriptions of the images in english, french and dutch (I think), and tickets are easily bought at the ticket office. A good way to spend a few hours in Brussels with friends of family

Fantastic comic museum! My family loved it. It’s a quick visit unless you read all the captions. If you like Tintin, Asterix & Obelix, Smurfs, etc…I highly recommend a visit here.
Very interesting museum of the comics art, with history illustrations how the comics art originated and developed through the years. Also, information about the architect and history of the semi-industrial building where the museum is located is given. Worth to see in Brussels!
Nice cute place in middle Brussel, perfect chicken and potato. Little bit more expensive than average, but its because its center. Rest is perfect. Nice atmosphere.
Me and my friends go here as a last minute change-of-plan, but the reception we got here is beyond expectation.

Its possible to come without reservation and the workers will gladly help you found a table. The foods are not the cheapest, but I assure you the food excels the price. For 20 euro you'll get a heaping amount of food (1.5-2 times more than typical serving), plus fresh baguette and fries. The food are fresh and delicious, and there are seasonal items to try. They also offers various alcohols, and you can find local brands here.

The workers are extremely kind and helpful, they won't let you lift a single plate. The restaurant may be small but the vibe is very beautiful. Every aspect of our visit is wonderful, I honestly don't know what to comment. Very recommended for family and friend gatherings.
The infrastructure is really nice and well designed. The service was good too. The food was well made. The carpaccio was with a special spicy taste. The beef was overcooked in some parts, but still good. The salmon was perfect! They have a very good Thai tea! The ice cream is was pure and sugar and they need to improve the gluten free options. But the restaurant is super nice! Congratulations.
