I grew up in Miami and know and love Cuban food. This is not true Cuban food. The food is good but in no way has the Cuban seasoning. There is no taste of mojito nor of sour orange which are typical of the Cuban gastronomy. There is no taste of sweet bread and black beans. The food is palatable and a mix of Mexican with Cuban, But mostly Mexican. The food still good but we were hoping it was Cuban.
I want to express that this place is a blessing. The entire work team, from the waiters, cooks and bakery, always welcome us with a smile. We visit the restaurant frequently and it feels like being at home. The food, the desserts, the atmosphere, a very clean and cozy place. The kitchen is open giving you the opportunity to see the food handling and cleaning. God bless you all and give you many years of success.
I gave this place a higher rating on yelp, but since being overcharged, which I didn't expect after such a nice meal. It appears they're charging gringos more, or they just haven't updated their menus to reflect accurate prices. It was delicious, but think I'll look for another place the next time I have a craving for Cuban.

Don’t sleep on this place, it’s really excellent. Smash burgers are delicious, and I just tried the Heart of Texas brisket sandwich and it was perfection. Highly recommend the tater tots and sidewinder fries too. The tots are more like mini hash browns than regular tots, but that’s great!
The latest addition to The Main Streat Food Hall and its a winner for me. The smash burgers are made to order and served piping hot with fresh, crisp and cold veggies on a Martins Sesame Bun. Some may think the $$ is high, but it is in line with market value for what you get. They also off some sandwiches from the now closed Meltery as well....Highly recommend the Sidewinder Fries!!

I've eaten at this place a good amount and they never disappoint.

I ordered El Cubanito Burger, papa Rellena,Carne Con Papa, Empanadas

The burger was massive and packed with the meats and seasoned greatly as the papa rellena looks interesting when first trying it but I love it.
I got two empanadas as one was beef and the other was chicken. Not my favorite but it's edible, the Carne con papa is delicious whenever. Next day if you want but I really enjoy it as it comes off as family home cooked meals and such a hardy dish that the meat is tender and flavored right.
This is the only place ever that I have found that serves Costa Rican cuisine. Although it is a Cuban restaurant, they have arroz con pollo a la tica which was phenomenal. I will definitely be coming back
It was my first time trying Cuban style sandwiches. I got the medianoche and the Cuban one. The sandwiches comes with lays chips. I think out of the two, the medianoche one was the best. Our waiter likes that one too. Overall, I think sandwiches were good. It was packed well with meat, and there was pickles in there too. I also ordered their tamale too. I think the tamale flavor was really good. It’s a bit different from the regular Mexican tamales, but the flavor was similar. I think the one I got was pork. They also have a bakery in there, but I haven’t tried the desserts. Our waiter was friendly too.
We came here with a larger group on a friend's referral. I ordered the cholita pork chop, and my husband got the pollo frita. We both ordered yuca frita as a side and were mildly disappointed by the two small strips that came with our meal. My porkchop was okay. His chicken was dry. I did enjoy the Cuban rice and beans a lot. I think if I were to come back, I would order one of the Cuban sandwiches. Some of our friends got them, and they seemed more up the restaurant's allie. When we received our check, it had a tip already taken out next to the "thank you" line before the taxes and total. Maybe this was because we were a bigger group (7). It seemed kind of sneaky though. The restaurant is nicely decorated and seems to be well taken care of.
ADA wheelchair accessible. Beautiful chairs and great bar. A bakery full of fresh pastries. Great Cuban food at a reasonable price. Delicious food. No patio for dogs 😢 so keep them home. Great staff.
