i can’t lie, the food is so delicious but every time i eat it i get violently ill. i want to love this place so much because the portions are massive and it tastes yummy, but it’s not so good tasting it again when it comes back up. i’ve gotten food from here maybe 4 times and only once did i not get sick after eating it. i’ve gotten the honey walnut chicken every time. tastes delicious, just be forewarned that it might leave you hunched over on the bathroom floor after eating it.
The food is excellent. The website has been dead for about a year. Door Dash still has them for online orders.
A place you should try for sure!
First of all. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food. But today I had just an amazing experience.
Also you need to understand that it is not a franchise/fast food place. It is a family owned restaurant.
Pros:
- The amount of food is way more than I expected!( Huge portions of meat and side)
- It is just my opinion but it seems like I find a perfect balance of spices!
- Price is pretty good. Almost every combination dish between $12-22.
- They serve lamb!
- Wait time was about 15 min.
- We ordered some crab pockets.... Tastes as a dessert, unusual but good!
- Nice and polite people working there.

Cons:
- Seems like right now they are serving only to-go. No opinion for dine-in.
When I try some new places I always take something familiar. Same was today. We tried Mongolian Beef (In my opinion one of the best dishes in the whole Chinese kitchen) and Kung-pao Chicken. It tastes so good! We will definitely visit you guys again. Really appreciate!

Almost every single time I order on the phone my order is never REPEATED back to me for confirmation. I sometimes have to constantly repeat myself to make sure they heard me right and I all get back in response is a “yea, okay anything else”. And when I pick up I have to repeat the order back to them again. Would be much more simpler if you got names down for pick up orders because I have had someone else take my order before and I have had missing items as well.
I just had a delightful meal from Uncle Yu Restaurant. I purchased, Seseme Balls and combo. Pan fried noodles. The noodles dish was served with the meat sauce separate from the noodles. A nice touch, allowing a much fresher meal when I got to my motel. The Seseme Balls warm and fresh. If I'm in the area again I'll stop by for more.
I only ordered beef chow mein. It was ridiculously huge for one person. I'd rather have the option to order half the portion. The food arrived hot but overall, it lacked flavor.
Purchased 2 packs of chicken wings both packed on the same day as the purchase date, 7/29/2023. When I was trying to marinate them later on that same day for BBQ, I found that one pack was quite smelly.
I still grilled them, the ones from the smelly pack were not eatable, tasted like rotten meat.
Apparently,
1. The chicken wings from the smelly pack had gone bad already.
2. If they were packed really on 7/29/23, it might indicate that some bad meat got repacked.

I have been going to seafood city since it opened in San Diego Ca. many years ago . It always has everything I need , I do most of my meat shopping there it’s so convenient. I have been to many locations and have never had a bad experience. I am not Filipino but my children are and I was raised by a Filipino step dad so it’s all I know . I was raised eating and cooking only Filipino food. I get treated very well by all who work in these store I have never felt uninvited. I now live in Washington State I’m sad our only seafood City is in Seattle. I wish they would build one more north ( Everette would be nice) . I am thankful we do have one at least
Their selection of seafood have alot, but the mussels (Tahong) looks good after cooking, but has alot of sand grains in the meat. The frozen squid aswell, also have a problem, as it smells so bad that you cannot cook it and it looks like really old expired squid. The meats are okay though. I have been buying here many times, but the mussel and squid have dissapointed me.

Seafood City is my go-to for all my Filipino cravings. They have premade bangus, Filipino snacks and sweets, and all of the seasonings you need to make really good adobo or sinigang.

Delicious! Just ordered and, while I’m still eating it, their hot and sour soup is great!!! I even called them one time to give complements to the chef about how yummy they make it. All of the food is made perfectly and I can’t be happier. If I had to say anything negative at all it’s just that I wish the Door Dash app for them would give options about customizing the dishes... like if I could make the soup even better I would ask for more meat(even though the amount they give is normal and fine) and I would also ask, as an option, to be able to make it even spicier(but without adding more seeds)... the seeds are my only peeve, but I understand, they have to be added, just saying you can spice it up super easy with just a little super-hot hot sauce like Dave’s Insanity Sauce(which is what I mix with apple cider vinegar(2 parts vinegar 1 part hot sauce))... makes it even better! Love this restaurant!
First of all, if you’re hungry, the portions are huge, witch is good. Good quality ingredients, on the healthy side. Eco friendly packaging for take away.

And because most products are foriegn brand (foreign to america :D), they're a bit pricey.
But I don't wanna miss out on my favorites, so it's fine by me.

Good place shop for meats and fish! They have a good variety outside of Chinatown Oakland! Prices are reasonable. I enjoy the variety of canned meats and sardines!
Store looks clean and nice.Very large and huge place..all types of varities fishes,crabs,octopus.and also vegetables,fruits and the groceries.thank you.
