I hope the middle school and elementary school has improved because when I went here from 2012-2015, it was the worst middle school-to-high school transition ever. Teachers competing with children, shoving their accomplishments in students face when they should be trying to teach them. A faculty of staff that wasn't very original, and had very bland lectures. Dean's and principles only knew two words, detention, suspension. Didn't matter if you were missing a pencil or were defending yourself against a hostile student, you were doing lunch duty(one student is responsible for picking up everyones trash as well as wiping tables and sweeping the floor) and later going home regardless. The staff at this school in my time here, were just as much apart of the issue, as a students(and I'd argue more) obviously, history agrees with me. Perry Street prep started as HYDE leadership and was only a high school, became perry Street and incorporated middle and elementary school, and in turn ignored high school so much, that perry Street no longer has a high school. From football coach reject turned middle school dean Mr.Duval, to "i got mine u better get yours im here to get paid"Mrs.Muellion, to"ima just send you home sir and you'll have to deal with the consequences"Mr.Ross, to the cougar ms.Mclaren, the highlight of this school is the building its in, as well as the name, but that's it. You can send your kids there, but don't act shocked as they develop into worse people than they went in, it's what's required to survive in that place. If you're a woman with a child and you're a single parent I wouldn't trust a faculty in this place. They're trying to get with you, I specifically remember mr.Duval used to try to suspend kids on purpose JUST so he could have a face to face with their parents. I know because I'm one of the many.

Highly recommended if you do not want to pay for law school. I used this course a few years back and it helped me achieve a LSAT score that got me a full academic scholarship.

This is a great catholic school with education and Christianity in mind. Our second child could not wait to put on this uniform today and make history. Waiting for our third enrollment soon....

Terrible administration, poor quality of teachers, out dated facilities.

I’ve been coaching at this school for years and the family atmosphere is amazing. Very small population to focus more attention on your child.

Before taking a class with Strategy Prep I self studied for about 5 months. I got a 163 on the LSAT, but wanted to break 170. My studying had hit a wall until I took Ben’s class. He made things so much simpler. Concepts I had been confused about for months were all of a sudden clear and I even started to find studying fun. After Ben’s class I got a 171!
I would highly recommend Strategy Prep to anyone. The amount of instruction time, video tutoring, and in person tutoring makes it an incredible value. Plus, you get access to the LSAT Demon (their website, which helped a ton for drilling questions).

Terrible school terrible students terrible teachers everything about it is terrible it has great potential and once upon a time probably was a good school but now it is terrible and if this doesn’t change soon it needs to be shut down.Rhis school is doing a horrible job honoring The late Jim Vance. If you are smart don’t send your child here

my best in slope game of slopex is 20 right now but i am sure with practice it will gt higher

I can't speak highly enough of Ben and his course. I started with a 152 diagnostic and ended up with a 170 on the June test. Ben provided me with every resource I needed to be successful and was always willing to go the extra mile in answering questions and making sure I understood the material. Also, plainly put, his class is fun and I looked forward to it each week. If you're serious about improving your LSAT score but need some extra structure and support, Strategy Prep is an easy choice.

Where can I start? I took Ben's course twice over and spent the following 6 months studying for the LSAT. In that time, I mastered all of the fundamental skills the LSAT measures and how to effectively take the test. Ben was there to help me every step of the way (especially after I completed the course) as I began taking every LSAT practice exam since the mid 1990s. My diagnostic score was a 147 and my score on the actual exam was a 163. Ben will give you all of the tools and knowledge you will need to master the LSAT and he will be there for you every step of the way. I can't recommend him enough. Great guy!

Amdg

These bumbs expelled me for no reason 😐

Well all 3 my kids went was never a problem just gotta know how to keep your kid to strive if you don't get involved with your kids school they will not work with the teachers.

I wish this high school had been an option for my teens. Or me! DC area families looking for a small, student-centered, experiential learning environment for their teens should check out Blyth-Templeton.

worst school ever in world history

It's an amazing school and everyone is a big family.

Loved it!

It's a great school.

Strategy Prep was a great class--the 40 hour class was the right balance for me, Ben was a patient and helpful teacher for everyone in the class and all levels of understanding. The videos and homework materials were manageable and helpful, much easier than a huge textbook to wade through. Having a test every Saturday was really helpful to get in the routine for test day, and it paid off. I was very pleased with my score, and I felt like another month of Strategy Prep classes would've helped me score even higher. I definitely recommend the class to anyone looking for some structure for LSAT study and is also working full time or more.

I had an excellent experience at strategy prep. I attended the 100-hour class and drastically increased my baseline score from the first test to end up scoring in the 99th percentile. Ben is a great teacher, has a very strong grasp on the fundamentals of LSAT strategy, and makes a huge effort to ensure everyone in the class understands the material. Ben is also a very funny and caring person, which makes the class substantially more enjoyable than it otherwise would be with a teacher not as committed to making LSAT studying less stressful and even occasionally enjoyable. That said, make no mistake that a high level of success on the LSAT will require extensive studying outside of the class, even if you take the 100-hour class. If you are someone who may have difficulty studying outside the classroom or motivating yourself, I would recommend Strategy Prep's 1 on 1 tutoring or perhaps rethinking your LSAT expectations. Regardless, I highly recommend Strategy Prep to anyone who truly wants to crush the LSAT. Ben went out of his way to ensure that I would have everything I needed to succeed on the LSAT, and I am 100% confident he will do the same for you if you are willing to put in the requisite effort on your end.

Could be better

Outstanding.

I took the 40-hour class in preparation for the October 2015 LSAT. Taking this course was the best decision I could have made. Ben is an excellent (and super patient) teacher. Super responsive to questions both in class, at extra-help sessions, and via e-mail. There are tons of extra resources for the course online in the form of YouTube videos, links to additional explanations, and podcasts. And the class was fun, or at least way more fun that you think an LSAT review course is going to be. Ben is funny and engaging and made prepping for this test way less painful than I anticipated it being. The reviews on their web-site might seem too good to be true, but I definitely believe them after taking the class. I don't have my official score back, but my practice scores increased 12 points by the end of the 40-hour course. Worth every penny and cannot say enough positive things.

This is the worst school in the world the teachers never pay attention and always losing the work 9th grade English and ms kline all need to be fired on the spot and have a party after if u are a parent I would not send my child here ms Kline got in my kids face saying what are u going to do three times he asked her to move but she would not move so he used his body to move her this is highschool there I guess that's why its closing because the people that work there are the worst people u would ever meet in your life their dean Mr Ross try to send every student home and never looks into the story and never complete the suspension form with time phone call or reason don't I repeat don't send ur kid here its hell on earth

If you're planning to take the LSAT and you live in DC, I would strongly recommend enrolling in a course at Strategy Prep.
When I decided to take the LSAT, I wanted to find an instructor who would help me understand the material in the test and teach me strategies for taking it. Preparing for the test is intense. I wanted someone committed to thinking critically about it and to supporting balanced, efficient study skills. Ben is that guy. He cares so much about the LSAT and the types of thinking it demands that he hosts a podcast about it. And that passion shows in his approach to teaching.
I took the 100-hour course. My score went up by 12 points from the diagnostic to the actual exam. I've gotten into a number of top schools, with some scholarship offers, and I feel that is in part because of how Ben's class helped me prepare for the LSAT.
In short, Ben is a fantastic teacher who helps students deeply understand the strategies necessary for success on the LSAT. The materials he uses will help you study efficiently. I couldn't recommend the course more highly.

Good

I owe much of my success to the experience(Academics, athletics, the commute, and the people) of Gonzaga. To know Gonzaga is to LOVE Gonzaga.
Advice for prospective students and parents: If you're interested in attending, be sure to trial the student for a day program as both my brother and I found it helpful in selecting a high school.
It is pronounced Gon-ZAG-ah not Gon-ZOG-uh (The yuppies have somehow proliferated this pronunciation throughout the metro area... stop that.)
The school does an excellent job of offering aid programs for families. The education was worth every penny as evidenced by the opportunity cost of writing this review. - Michael Tam, Class of 2002.

Better than any other school no question.

Best School in the area for turning boys into Men for Others.
