Pay respects to soldiers in 2005 to commemorate those killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Plaques with lists of names of people who died in the war. Striking sculpture.
Nice memorial behind the Old North Church, but easy to miss. Peaceful setting in the middle of the city.

It happened. Democracy #1
Lovely spot to relax for a moment. A super place if you're looking for some alone time. Great views of the city. I remember before the geese invasion.
Absolutely gorgeous and beautifully done.

After 33 years, we are seeing the June 4th sprint in China again.
In the garden there is a small memorial dedicated to fallen soldiers. The wall of name tags represent all those who paid the ultimate price for freedom.

It’s a nice place to sit and relax and to admire the Hungarian revolution memorial.
Nice and quiet. Good for self reflection.

There are unique individual slab seats here facing the statue but I’ve hardly ever seen anyone using them.
This is the Iraq-Afghanistan Memorial. You can see the dog tags of each US service member who lost their life in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Very emotional memorial.

The Memorial area is built on peaceful surrounding consisting of a small creek, some trees, Rose garden and geese strolling around. Had a peaceful time watching geese float in water and walk on green grass.
I found this to be the most emotional place along the Freedom Trail. The sheer amount of damaged dog tags from our service people is staggering. Please find the time to stop an pay respects when walking past.
Very emotional memorial to be sure. The sheer amount of dog tags is staggering and the memorial is very simple and respectful.
This is definitely a stop worth making and just taking a few moments to appreciate those who keep our country free.
Not a place for young kids, this is definitely a much more somber and sad memorial and not the place to have young kids out of control and trying to play tag.
Outstanding memorial, but the surrounding area is disgusting. Lots of goose droppings and shrugs and bushes that have not been maintained.

The area has so much potential and needs some serious TLC.

Beautiful memorial with places to sit and reflect.
A small garden with the dog tags of all the soldiers who died in Afghanistan. Very touching, you can feel the pride and the emotions just by looking at the sheer amount of tags.
A very nice tribute to our fallen soldiers and with the tags it feels very personal.

There won't be the current China without these heroes. Remember what they have contributed to the country and inherite their love and ambitions.
Great shrine for the 1989 heroes of China, a world away from this place. A giant cry for DEMOCRACY! Best time to visit is early morning when there are less chance for photobombers to show up for that selfie of yours.
