They let my ex take my son even though he has a restraining order in place. They take emergency situations as jokes and don't protect your children. Do not let your children go to this school!!

Went here in 3rd too big for my liking its like as big as a highschool buts elementary

Would definitely not recommend this school. Huge bullying problems and teachers (principal) could really care less to fix such a problem. It would be nice to know our kids are going somewhere where they feel safe. And wondering why suicide rates are up, its because schools like this that don't help when kids are in need. If I could have gave a zero, I would have. Please don't take your children here, its not worth the hassle, tears or pain they will endure.

I love this school I'm in 5th grade right now my favorite teacher that I ever had was Mrs.Wilson because one I had her for 2 years 3rd and 4th grade and 2 she's really nice and she's strict not rude but strict and she makes kids want to do their homework because she gives them Rewards Like Pat time is what she calls it where you going to do fun games and a food activity and she takes kids out to dinner

Amazing staff !! Given building to work in the staff comes in ready to go happily and continues to care for students even after middle school years ! Overall amazing experience and miss it

Vey happy I switched my son to this amazing school.

The school is ancient, it's falling apart, you can walk out the back doors and buy drugs, and most of the kids are complete jerks. Our ceiling tiles are falling out, and some are still Poisonous because of asbestos. Our bathrooms are gross (not because they aren't cleaned), because they were built in the 60s. Now about the drugs thing, anyone who lives in the Orchard Mesa area knows where you can almost always find a drug dealer, at the skate park and under the bridge. The skate park is not even 30 second walk from school grounds and the bridge just about a minute walk from there. A lot of the kids here drink, smoke, and do drugs. That's a scary environment to be in. Speaking of scary environments, in the 2015-2016 school year there were three threatened school shootings... all by students! The first two weren't too serious the students were suspended for about two weeks. The third though was one of the most scary moments I have ever had in my life. The suspect was taken in to custody by the cops and actually brought a gun to school that day. If the brave souls that spoke up about it hadn't that would have been traumatizing.

Now about the kids, there are 15+ fights yearly, and probably more that the kids get away without anyone knowing. I get bullied almost daily for how I dress, what make-up I where, and how much I want to participate in class (how much I talk). When I wore different colored lipsticks I was told that I wasn't Kim Kardasian, I wasn't cool/hot enough to wear that, etc. So I stopped because there were multiple days where I went home crying because of the comment that I had gotten from my peers. I tried to go the counselors but they didn't do me much good, they gave the kids a slap on the wrist and that was that. I have had my butt grabbed/slapped many times by my peers and they get a slap on the wrist and that's that.

Worst school i have ever been to would not recommend this school to anyone the teachers do not take time to answer kids who have trubble understanding what is being said questions they tell you to figure it out or ask someone who knows or should have listened the first time very bad shcool

I thought the school was great!
However my kindergartner had an issue after a teacher accused him of cheating long story short!
They do not allow you to observe your child.
They are more interested in protecting there teachers than protecting the child!
I'm sad to say that the school has shocked me and let me down!
My son is being treated differently becuAse he is a strong willed child!
So I was educated he will end up in jail. Curious how you can come up with that from a kindergartner!
Long story short priorities are not right!

Horrible school the worst school in mesa county have to fight for everything if your child is sick. Even with Arc involed they will not follow doctors orders.

My kids do not attend the school but I have been there several times for rec league sports and it seems like a nice place with a good facility.

School is good. The teachers seem to really care about each student. The one bad thing is the parking. Whoever designed this parking lot should not be aloud to work anymore. Absolutely disgusting. Been hit by 3 cars this year alone. Time to rip it out and make a new parking lot.

Wish they would have stuck the modular classrooms behind the school. Was overcrowded when our girls went there.

I would not recommend this school to anyone. This school doesn't have very good teaching skills as well. They are very judgmental people and do not know how to handle bullying. I attended Grand Mesa Middle School, and loved it for a little bit. But my name was known and I started having issues with some kids so I took the problems to the councilors like you were always taught. and the saying "bullying won't be tolerated." Well the councilors put your problems off if your not a "weird kid" or if they don't think you have a big enough issue even though it is. Things soon got brought to the sheriff because nothing was getting solved, and things kept getting worse. the sheriff even took things into the principal and finally 2 weeks later the principal talked to me and said "too bad you need witnesses with you."

I'm here for my 5th grade year and this is a great school I love it

I go to west middle school and from the 3 schools I've been to west is the best!! There's a great staff and choir program its AMAZING

I love this school but there is a lot of drama I would have gave it 5 stars but drama is horrendous there but I love how it teaches me every thing I need to be successful when I grow up!!!!!

This is my first year at this school and so far it is awesome. I live near Clifton and it is pretty easy to get to. I could say this is the best middle school in the district.

I went to this school in 1992, I was a fifth grader in ms. Gross class! I cannot believe that they torn down columbine building, really love the the way columbine was built....classic!!

Even though I went there for only one year I have some of the best school memories I've ever had, I hope all the staff and former classmates are all well.

I go there and love it. Just because kids there are jerks doesn't mean the teachers are too I mean we have really good teachers!

I went West Middle School and and I had some pretty great times. I no longer go there I to Grand Junction High School it is harder than middle school. So I do my best
