Burke Lake Park Marina is a place of natural beauty and tranquility, where the shimmering blue lake is embraced by a lush forest. The sight of the clear, azure waters encircled by trees creates a breathtaking panorama that instantly mesmerizes visitors.

It is a very good picnic spot, especially from children point of view. Nice place for walking/ jogging.
It is kind of hidden from easy access but a very nice lake with grand views.
It was all closed, but it was a scenic place. When it is open, it has a lot to offer as far as renting boats and other things.
Every time I go I remember how much I like it. The river is pretty and protected all along the Fairfax Co side. The launching area is easy and pleasant. The only downside is that the payment booth and launch area can be crowded on a nice day.
Really nice peaceful place. If you want to rent a rowboat though, make sure you're there before opening time to queue. They sell out immediately. There were about 30 of them upside down and only 10 operating. Lots of people were waiting only 30 minutes after opening
It is peaceful and serene. We rented a boat and relaxed on the lake for several hours. The staff was SUPER friendly. We will be going more often... there are several things you can do at the park. Miniature golf, Frisbee ⛳️, ride a cute train, or the carousel. Play 🏐 volleyball. Eat ice cream 🍦 😋 and there are several party areas to grill and have fun with your family. Oh and fish!!!
Great place to go for an afternoon hike or kayaking. Curious old graveyard along the trail.

A great spot to go for walks on the trails. The bathrooms are usually pretty clean and in good condition. It’s better to start your walk here as opposed to going through the disc golf course.
A beautiful park any time of year. Walking trails, marina, train ride, miniature golf, ice cream.
Great fishing spot. Wrap around pier with beautiful views of lake. Boat loading/unloading area and area to rent small boats, kayaks and paddleboards
Ok let's start with the good: it's a beautiful place, and plenty large enough to really feel like you had a good kayak trip in. The water is pretty clean, and the boat launch area is nice.
The bad: Their staff were really rude as we tried to help them address their billing mistake.
My advice: don't rent from them, and make sure you keep records of everything.

I would've given this park 4 stars however I rented the Jon boat with motor but the battery began smoking and motor did not work while barelyoff shore. So we rowed back and let the attendance know the issue and we were given a knew motor. We went out for second time and again barely offshore the motor would not work. So told them the battery was smoking hoping they heard me a second time and it was alarming for the battery sitting in the water that was already sitting in the boat. They went to get a new battery but I chose a refund because I did not feel my family would be safe if we continued to be given motors or batteries that were broken or smoking in a boat that had a decent amount of water to electrocute us in a metal boat with water inside and outside of the boat since we were on a lake. Also, the cost was over $70 which I was willing to pay but it wasn't worth all that stress or worry about our safety. The equipment needs to be in newer condition (it all looked old) and properly maintained by actual adults and not by teens. The teens were very respectful however when safety due to faulty equipment and possible electrocution is evolved there should be at least one adult supervising and looking over all equipment & staff. Beautiful park though. Trails are great and the view is very pretty. We will go back but we will not rent another jon boat...too risky for us.
The Fountainhead Regional Park Marina allows you to launch boats/kayaks/paddle boards for a fee (see price picture). They also rent paddle boards, kayaks, and small boats at one hour and 4 hour rates. Staff was very friendly but you probably need to get their early on a busy weekend to make sure they have boats to rent or you might need to wait an hour.
The Burke Lake Park Marina of Fairfax County Parks is a beautifully well-maintained public park that sets itself apart from other parks in that it's abundant in acres of trees and a large lake for all to enjoy. For a fee of $10 per vehicle a person or family will gain access to the park and all recreational activities, but it's well worth it because there's a golf course, a train ride for kids, boat ramp with canoes and row boats, picnic area and fishing. Best of all, the evite location is serene and quiet. A time spent away from life's struggles in a park that provides a wealth of nature. For me, i was able to use my drone to film this park and it's lake to share with you in hopes it'll inspire you to spend a day here. Nice place to fish, walk, enjoy nature. Can be crowded but lots of space to spread out and lots of little pathways. You won't feel crowded.
Also tables along the lake so you can have a meal there too. Restrooms and vending machines also available here. And, of course, boat rentals!
And Geese. Pretty tame Geese too. Not like those Attack Geese you get in most parks. Parking is so-so. We lucked out - had three cars and found three spaces - no more and no less. So be patient.
Also been told the lake is stocked with fish so you might even hook something!
